Circumstances being that a) the manager seemingly isn't a fan and b ) we have better players/prospects around his age in both defence and midfield. The Jack Cork comments made earlier makes sense, wouldn't surprise me if his career pans out in similar fashion.

I think this is the start of the slow realisation that Chalobah isn't good enough and/or won't be a Chelsea player in 2-3 years time.

Mourinho spoke about Costa yesterday and said: Costa isn't soft. He may not be a huge success here - I have my own doubts about his quality - but I'm confident he will put up a much bigger fight than somebody like Torres ever has. You can't have the journey Costa has had in football and not be mentally strong. I really doubt Drogba's return has any affect on him at all.

I haven't watched much of pre-season but towards the end of last season I started to understand Salah as a player. I think he's going to frustrate a lot of people who won't allow themselves to look past his shortcomings. He is never going to blow us away with his ability on the ball, he's a runner who can finish reasonably well, and like a lot of squad players he will thrive in certain games and stink up the place in others. Depending on how and when he's used he can be a valuable asset.

I always thought as Drogba as the emotional leader of the group. He was just as influential at JT during his time here. The reports from yesterday suggest Lukaku will have his chance next season. I don't know how much more invested the club can be than that. Eto'o was very bitter over the comments by Mourinho, his comments since have proven that.

I know, mate. I have said as much; there are a number of reasons why this isn't a smart move. But if it's going to happen I don't need to talk myself into seeing the good side of it. It's Didier Drogba. I would much rather have him give us 10 or 20 minutes off the bench at 36 than suffer Torres for any longer.

What the hell does that mean? Drogba isn't smart enough to coach? Who better to teach somebody like Lukaku how to use his body than Drogba?
