There are things I rate more then footballing knowledge when it comes to footballers. It's their dedication, motivation, love for the club and attitude. Salomon always tried his best and over the course of years gave his contribution to our success. More then some, less then others, but he gave it. He left us some nice memories, and some not really nice, but he left his mark. Even though he could be frustrating, I've always said I will wish him and goodbye, good luck and thank him once he departs and bloody hell that's what I'm gonna do. Goodbye. Good luck. And thank you lad. He comes from the Ivory Coast Kalou,Kalou He don't do coke like Adrian Mutu, Mutu He crossed the ball from the left it landed right on the Riise's head That's why we love Salomon Kalou! And fuck, he done his part for our CL win this season. His defensive work at latter stages was important, and goal against Benfica away a key moment for the return leg.

Honestly, I think so too. We'll have him for some time, he'll fire up everyone and we'll sell him to Real Madrid for a hefty fee. But whatever, either keep him or get money from his sale, we made a profit, especially important for financial fair play. Who knows, perhaps he falls in love with Chels and ends his career here

Hulk to Spurs? Chill down lads, ain't happening. They can't afford his wages and I doubt transfer fee also because they'll need to replace Modric. Even if they could all that, I doubt Hulk would leave Portugal champions for a team that isn't even in the CL when for example he can come here, join our 2 awesome brazilians and play CL.

As I've said before, it's alright. Black and gold/yellow combinations are something I like, though I will wait to see a picture with better quality before passing my judgement. And sometimes, kits seem rather awful when you first see them, but they win you over after some time, example - our home kit for 2010-2011 for me.

Hahahahaha well said mate xD

Latest on Modric transfer. Telegraph says that we are still after Modric and that Real Madrid interest has cooled down. They also say that Roman promised to return next season. They also report that Madrid have made a bid and offered Sahin, but Nuri has said that he didn't want ti be in that deal. It could be that Tottenham is waiting to finalize the deal for the new manager before making any movement. http://www.telegraph...r-interest.html Dan Levene Luka Modric is understood to be ready to hand in a transfer request - but Spurs still seem adamant the Croatian will not be Chelsea-bound. The subject of a summer-long transfer saga last year, Blues have never given up on their interest for the midfielder. Last year Chelsea went as far as levelling a bid worth £40m for the star. But Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy does not want to sell to Chelsea, and values the player at over £50m. This, and the fact that Modric's transfer fee must now be smaller than last season (owing to there being a year less on his contract), could mean Modric ends up leaving the Premier League. Meanwhile, former Real Madrid player, Jose Maria Guti has said that Luka Modric isn't good enough to play for Real Madrid and that they should turn their attention to David Silva. http://www.mirror.co..._medium=twitter

I'll go first He is 2 years younger then Modric. Compare their quality. Luka, best creative midfielder in the Premier League, league known for that kind of players to struggle and Marco, lad playing in MLS (no disrespect, but difference in league quality is evident), as I said, only 2 years younger. I know who would I rather have, no matter the money difference. We are in need to players who are on top of their game and who will lead us week and week out with their amazing performances. Signing an unknown player for something cheap is not something we can afford to do atm. Yes, if we already had a great team, then yes, bring someone cheap in, give him a chance and see how he does. If he does well, keep him, if he doesn't, cut your losses. As for the 3 things you mentioned I disagree. A.) he would come in cheaper That doesn't mean that he is a better prospect. It also doesn't mean really a lot to the club when you have a Russian billionare to back you up. B.) he is bigger & stronger & most importantly Not neccesarily better. We are not trying to bring Modric to help our defending, but to organize the play, which by god, he does amazingly. C.) he is better looking & would see more jerseys No way he would sell more jerseys then Modric. Modric has good marketing value also.

Feel free to do it. That's why there's a prefix wishlist in transfer section when creating a thread Better that then starting of a discussion about another player in a particular thread.

You can't know that unless you knew someone important at Inter or Maicon or his agent. Sure, I wouldn't say that chances of seeing Maicon in a Chelsea shirt are high, but I also wouldn't say they don't exist. Maicon being relatively crap is your opinion, not a fact. He still has bags of experience, his crossing is amazing and tactical positioning is good. Yes, he is past it, like most of the players over 30 years of age, but he is not crap. Perhaps, perhaps not. Maybe he wants a change, and if he came here and had some amazing performances, he would get a chance to play more regularly. Get a trophy or two, play in England and slowly continue towards the ending of his career. But anyway, as I don't know him personally, I can't know what's he thinking, so we'll see...

Negotiating a deal for Maicon on Chelsea's behalf

Well every man is a story for himself. If that's the way you are mate, fair enough I tend to respect unique people a lot more then your average joe.

Sometimes life is a bitch

Well we were actually ready to make him a mod but since he didn't submit an application it was evident that he didn't want to do it

AVB Had No Pay Off - More Good Work By The Board
termninja replied to Superblue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Nice one. Christ, this is 4th or 5th time I'm saying good things for the board in the last couple of months... -
Indeed. Imagine the abuse of Chelsea in FIFA Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, who knows what the future holds, but I do see a lot of light in the distance
-
If he is ready to accept not to be a 1st choice and we could get him for 10mil...fuckyeah! Brilliant player. Can cross some absolute beauties also. He would help a lot against teams who would park the bus against us. We would demolish them with Hazard, Mata, (Hulk), Marin agility, dribbling and flair and Maicon's crossing. And he's Brazilian. I like Brazilians and Luiz and Rami can help us
-
He is a great guy and one of the best midfielders in the world atm. I really want him here, and I believe he could work well along Mikel in a 4-2-3-1 formation since Spurs were mostly playing with 2 real midfielders and Luka was essential for that. With Mikel's secure passing and Luka's top notch playmaking skills it could work amazingly and could transform us into one of the most fearsome teams in Europe. He is also a kind of player who can play well into his 30ies like Pirlo and even if we payed lot of money for him he would be worth it in the long run.
