Being in the US, I was at work while this match was going on. Is there a stated reason why Mata isn't playing right now?

I hope this doesn't mean a Mata for Rooney switch is coming, but hard to imagine this move being made without some other move as a result

I haven't been able to follow transfer news that closely other than the obvious like Cavani. Can someone give me a list of guys who are rumored to be on the way out. Not who you want to leave, but people actually rumored to go. I have heard Mikel rumors, some rumors that Luiz and Mata might be out of favor with Mourinho or we might sell them to fund other moves. Who else is rumored to be possibly on the way out?

I think Lukaku could be better than Ba next year. I'd sell Torres for what we can get for him, go with Cavani and I would let Lukaku try and be the #2 man and give Ba some games here and there. You need three striker options, and you can't really keep Torres around if this happens, so I would love a Cavani/Lukaku/Ba combo.

An attack with Cavani at striker with Hazard and Mata behind him (and possibly Hulk) and throw in Oscar, our attack could be deadly if true.

I think our current squad is good and can compete, but I think Hulk can put us up there with the favorites. Money of course is an issue, but as a fan I figure Ill let those who know way more than me decide what a player is worth. As to Moses, you need squad depth, especially when you play in as many competitions as we are this year. We need to unload some dead weight though, guys like Malouda, Benayoun, and possibly Kakuta. Our midfield would be world class with Hulk, and he could play striker if Torres needed a night off or got injured or started sucking again. I am talking about mostly reporters who are verified by twitter. Its pretty easy to tell the who the crap sources are by what account they came from.

Thats kind of harsh, I agree twitter rumors from people like that agent guy are a load of crap, but there are legitimate news reporters on twitter and they always break the stuff on there before its posted in an article somewhere. Twitter can be a good news source if you know who to believe and know how to spot bogus profiles

If we bought Oscar like reported (or are going to buy) we really dont need another AM/Winger type, so if we want to bring in another goal scorer, Id prefer another striker like Cavani over Hulk. Most elite teams have 2 quality strikers at least, and Sturridge can rotate between RAM/RW and ST as well and loan out Lukaku.
