As a 4th-5th choise AM? he surely can, he would add something we dont have - a left footed RW who can score. Mata was never a good fit to Jose's side, so it will be pretty easy for Salah to claim Mata's "reputation" this season.

I wrote the Midfield-Attack which i belive we'll have for the next few years, plus Salah, Schurrle and Lukaku. When im looking at it i think It cant get more Mourinho than this - speed, work rate, power, technical abilities and off course the 'badass attitude'. When Oscar is in the heart of everything. The minimum i expect is a top striker. Zouma and Shaw are not that needed right now and wont help us so much this season. If we are going to let Mata go in January and we're staying with just 4 Am's (and with the big risk of it), i expect a striker to come as a solution to our biggest disadvantage. Someone who could really improve our chances of winning the title.

Jose started the season with 6 AM's, thats the number of AM's he thought was right for this team, he knew its an important area for us and we need fresh players in there (his words when we got Willian). The 4-3-3 thing is an assumption, from nowhere almost. Jose love this 4-2-3-1 and thats the formation he build on for the whole season. Why realese a player who is important for our ability to play that formation all the time? And again, you are not talking about the possibility of an injury for one of those AM's, Easy? i havent talked about easy games.. im sure Mata can play in games that arent 'Easy' for us.

Again, one injury to one of the Am's, and we're out of depth at all, do you think its ok for a team that wants to win the title? Mata is a AM, he could play some games- the more easy games in the rest of the season, and keep Oscar/Hazard/Willian fit for the tougher game in the same week. This will happen and we need some cover, not a lot right now maybe, but in the coming months.

If we sell him in this reported 37m, or 28m in the summer.. what is the big difference? those 9-15 millions are so important for the club? i believe they are not. You are also talking about this 37m like its a big prize we can get, but in todays market its a reasonable offer for a player like Mata, not more than that.

Its Mata, one of the best AM's in the last few years, not Kalou,. who wouldnt want him in June? its just 4 months, how much his value could be reduced in 4 months? thats ridicilous... we could lose titles with this decision, we're certainly not a club that needs money right now.

What is so tough to call?!?! its Janury, why would we sell in January when we need this player for rotation and such? we could sell him for the same amount in the summer when we could bring a replacement. We are playing with 3 AM's, you cant go for the next 4 months with only 4 Am's (after you had 6 in the begining of the month)... thats crazy stupid.
