What risks ? The risk that Lukaku scores more goals than Torres ?
-
Actually when Ronaldo plays against Barcelona, he looks like an average player. So this is not the best argument lol. Because he shits in his pants, 'cause he is too much focused and troubled by this "Ronaldo Vs Messi" thing.
-
LMAO. To first off, did I say anywhere that Torres wasn't good at this or at that ? No. Secondly, if you can't recognize that Cristiano Ronaldo was - and stil is - a fantastic dribbler, then the one who have serious problem is you. Finally, if I brought up the fact that Torres couldn't score a goal for his life these days, that is because you said that Ronaldo can't beat a man these days. It was to show you how irrevelant was your argument that Ronaldo wasn't a good dribbler between 2007 and 2009 because he can't beat a man nowadays. PS : I don't even like Ronaldo.

It will be very hard for them because the reserve league isn't competitive at all. In my honest opinion, the problem doesn't lie only below the first team, but also in the first team. Against the Wolves, we had a bench full of youth, though there's only McEachran who has been given ten miserable minutes of playing time. Against Portsmouth, no one of our youngsters did manage to start the game, and don't tell me this isn't because they aren't competitive, because Bertrand has at least 150 professional games under his belt, and Lukaku played 98 games in Belgium and scoring 41 goals, he has also already played in UCL (even scored against Ajax) and he is already playing for his National Team. So if he (André) isn't able to play young players who have already played a lots of professional games, I don't know how he could possibly play kids who are rotting in a non-competitive league that the reserve is...
-
So youngsters need to make world-class performances to hope training with the first team ?
-
We're in 2012, not in 2007/09... Oh, and by the way, these day Torres can't even score a fucking tap-in.
-
On Sergi Roberto : In the first half, Barça was mainly playing on the left side, so we didn't see too much of him. Though, that's certain he has a good passing and dribbling ability. He has lost the ball which led to Osasuna's goal, although to his defence, he inherited the ball in a difficult situation and was under big pressure. The second half has shown he is also able to score (link to his goal). So, if our interest in him is genuine, it could be a good sign (even if there's a "Fabregas-esque" risk).
-
Sergi Roberto has scored to make it 2-1.
-
Source ? €40m = £33,5m I dare hope we don't give him this time to prove himself...
-
*cough*Ronaldo*cough*
-
http://www.firstrow....-barcelona.html Sergi Roberto is playing at the moment in the Copa del Rey. If you want to watch this potential signing.. PS : he wears the n°30 and play on the right of the midfield.
-
Barça need neither Hazard nor Neymar, they need a defender lol.
-
I am not really sure. Because if Busquests isn't moved to defence, and if Xavi, Fabregas and Iniesta are fit, it will probably be Iniesta on the wing.

Norwich U18's v Chelsea U18's (FA Youth Cup)
Peace. replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Why ? Because I've only noticed that Ferreira was still one of our players last month, when he played against Tottenham. Before that he was nowhere to be seen. So, if we have to have a player sitting on the bench to have an apparition every 36th of the month, I would choose hands down a young english player who came through our rank and who probably wouldn't be on a wage higer than £40k-a-week, than an old foreigner earning 60k pound a week, with no sale revalue. -

1) Did anyone said Mancienne over our starting RB ? No. Though I said I'd rather him over the 33 years-old portuguese translator who's on a £60k-per-week. 2) I expect them to wonder why our loans never work, and to change our politic about them. -
You must be joking. He knows only one trick, and it's to overplay his opponent on the one side while overrunning him on the other. No needs to say it works once out of a gazillion time...
-
I know very well how he plays lol. But when you look at their starting lineup, the front three is (for example) : Iniesta - Messi - Alexis. On the paper he is the striker. My point is that it doesn't really matter your position on the paper, what's matter is how you play. The same applies for Hazard. Plus both Danni and Mata can play anywhere in the front three, so there's no problem.
-
Bloody hell. English medias are often telling bollocks, but not always. And in this case, it is André himself that told that the club and the player were miles apart about the terms of the contract. Which most likely refers to the wage. Or maybe Cahill wants to play as a striker and André wants to play him as a Goalkeeper, which would explain the "miles apart", huh ?
-
Basically, as Seb has said. L'équipe is becoming less and less reliable. Though, it is a lot more reliable than what you can find in England (the Mail and co...).
-
For fuck sake, CAM or Winger, it doesn't matter. Hazard is a real talent with genuine qualities, who can play both position. Messi is a winger though he is the best striker out there...

"According to our sources, Lille and Chelsea are discussing about Hazard. He is bound with Lille untill June 2015, and he has been scouted by the Blues since near one year (it refers to the offer we've made last January). Chelsea are considering to make an offer of €30 million this winter to get him. Issue : Lille hope to get €40m (is buy-out clause) and want to keep him untill the summer." Very good news since we seem to be genuinely negociating for him. I say, we should make a deal this winter to get him this summer. and we shouldn't hesitate to give them those €40m...

The point of the academy is not only to create world-class players. The players you have mentioned were certainly not enough good to become the next big thing and be in our starting XI. But some of them would probably become good squad players, like Brown and O'Shea were for United, and like Jonny Evans is. Hence instead of having squad players of the likes of Ferreira, Meireles and Kalou who are on a £60k-a-week wage, we could have had Macienne, Sinclaire and Sotch who would be on a lesser wage and who would make our home-grown and english-player quota better. -

Ake, Chalobah and Islam appear to be great prospects to my eyes. People who think Piazon will son walk into the first team will have to be very patient I think. -
