What strikes me in this video isn't Thiago's goal, but the quality of movement on ball and off ball as well, that our players had at this time.......

Why are you saying it is a Roman's signing ? Maybe André wants this player, and it happens Roman is a friend of Shakhtar owner, thus he plays with his connections to get a fair price.

When I read some posts defending Torres, I get the feeling it is impossible to score while being a Chelsea player. So, I wonder some things... How Sturridge did - while being isolated on the right wing, which isn't his position - to score 10 goals ? How Lampard did - who is a midfielder and out of form since the start of the season - to score 11 goals ? How Ramires did - who is a midfielder and well known to have a poor finishing - to score 8 goals ? How Drogba did to score 6 goals ? How Juan Mata did to score 6 goals ? How Terry did to score as many goal as Torres this season while he is a defender ? Our team lacks dramatically of creativity, this is a fact and I am one of the first to say that. This excuse is getting old. If he didn't have two left feet, then he would have at least 8 goals this season, and the question "do we have to cut our losses in the summer" certainly wouldn't have been raised. Oh, and his horrendous first touch isn't due because the Ugly Malouda is playing.

http://www.majorca.com/ The two are corrects.

We have hired their doctor this summer.

If only we can lose two or three players (no need to mention names) inadvertently in this island, before leaving...

Bilbao scoring ! Come on ! Hold this score please.

Don't hold your breath, people, it's better for your own health. There won't be a second signing. Since the trip to Mallorca has been anounced, it is pretty clear we won't sign anyone in the time remaining in this transfer window. Or if there is a second singning, it will be more likely a fringe player. I really don't see someone like Hazard go and hold negociation in London while our manager is miles away.

1) That isn't down to inconsistency. When you are tired, you lost your lucidity quickly. Consequently, when you aren't lucide while shooting or passing, your accuracy will dramatically suffer from it. It is crystal clear that Mata is being over used. And as I said in an other thread, this exhaustion he amasses week after week has a negative effect on his inspiration his finishing and his accuracy (of shot and pass). 2) The question is why does he have the tendency to disappear in games. First off, let's find out when he is noticeable during game. This is when he comes playing in the center to make the play. Though, this isn't his position on the field, so he can't play in the center every time, and he has often to go back where he is supposed to play. And the moments he disappears, it is when he comes back to his supposed position. So it isn't a problem of consistency, but a problem of position. Indeed, he doesn't have the attributs to be a good winger, thus to be noticeable on the wing. Furthermore, his opponents have the tendency to push him on the wing to shut him down.

He is the worst thing happened to Chelsea in recent times.
-
The worst part of his play is his touch on the ball, especially the first touch. I remember two situations, yesterday, where he could have be on a one-on-one with the goalkeeper if he had controled the ball correctly. Plus he loses the ball many times due to the fact he pushes it too far.

^ I was thinking today that Terry passing ability was underrated. I think at the moment, he is one of the best passer in our team, and he seems to be comfortable on both feet. Furthermore, he seems good with the short range passes and the long range ones - for example his brillante long range pass to Danni which has led to our first goal against City (if I reminds well). And I was wondering his stats, so thanks ! (I'll give you rep tomorrow, no more left in stock for today). PS : Who are the first and second ? I guess Xavi is one of them. (if you have a link, it would be welcomed).
-
To be frank, I have never read nor heard of this name. But if he is able to pass better than our current midfielders, and to make forward passes, then I wouldn't mind.
-
Sigh... I took them as an example, I could have taken Sunderland, Aston Villa or whoever. Okay it might not be the best example, still my point remains valid. My point was : « If to not play in UCL permit us to have players who play with passion - like [insert the name of the team you wish]'s players - then I would happy to not play in this competion. »
-
Once again, did I said they were phenomenal ?.... They may not have been the most passionate opponents we have encountered thus far, though compared to us, I'd rather their marvelously gorgeous passion than ours. Anyway, I am pretty sure you get my point.
-
You are wrong. We didn't want Benayoun, because it was in a period where we were looking to rejuvenate the squad, hence an average 30 years-old player wasn't a good choice at all. We didn't want Meireles, because we were looking for a playmaker, so an average utility player of 28 years wasn't the good choice. I wouldn't mind an average player able to make pass, to be frank.
-
We should stop playing him week in and week out. It will lead us nowhere. He does look worn out, and as a result his end products (notably his finishing) and his inspiration suffer from it.
-
Point out where in my post I talked about production....
-
No. There's no streaming and I don't think it is being televised (at least, not on the channels I have).
-
After a such performance, I wouldn't mind at all to be out of CL football next year if it does mean having players who give their hearts out and who play with passion (like Norwich's players did, for exemple).
-
At least, he will know that his spot in the Starting XI is guaranted.
-
Really ? This guy should go and watch Messi, Iniesta and David Silva playing, he will then understand the meaning of the word "fantastic".
