  1. They're both huge players, but I think that Messi is getting bored, he's like a mini-Ronaldinho. Not to mention that he's already a little fat. That's why I appreciate Ronaldo more, because he's a worker, he trains like a lunatic and always tries to be better. Ronaldo is work, Messi is talent.
  2. The way the game was, I think it's better for us that we didn't win it. The draw should be a wake-up call and I hope the players and the manager realize that we can't afford treating this competition like it is Capital One Cup. This is UEFA Champions League and there's no time for taking it slow. I'm expecting a much better display against Sporting. I'm also expecting Filipe Luis to be an important man for this club rather sooner than later.
  3. Stream anyone? // nvm http://soccertoall.net/index.php?channel=2
  4. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-winger-jonas-gutierrez-reveals-4272042 Newcastle winger Jonas Gutierrez reveals testicular cancer battle and chemotherapy treatment This is sad and painful to even read and think about. Imagine going through it... I wish best of luck to Gutierrez. He's a strong lad and I'm sure that he'll beat this disease.
  5. Hope we don't screw this up. This is a must win. I think it would be nice to see the likes of Luis, Salah, Schurrle and Remy trying to prove themselves.
  6. It seems to be a done deal. Gheorghe Hagi, Viitorul's owner, announced the Romanian NT coach, Victor Piţurcă, that Manea signed for Chelsea (the Romanian newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor claims that the paper job is already done). Manea will win 20k euros per month. A detail that I forgot to mention: Manea is the youngest player to ever play for Romania. "This is a huge step for Manea and he knows it. He's very good. He used to play in the center of the defence and he reminds me of Chivu. He's technical, serious, agressive, has courage, knows the game and has great control of the ball. Romania won a big player!" - Hagi, about Manea
  7. nicolas anelka ✔ @anelkaofficiel Follow I'm pleased to join Mumbai City FC & very exciting in joining Indian Super League. 12:29 PM - 15 Sep 2014 Good luck, Nico! I will always remember this beauty:
  8. He's talented, but I don't know if he's Chelsea material.
  9. The Romanian website dolce-sport.ro is reporting that Cristian Manea (17, right back) is set to complete a move to Chelsea for 3 million euros. He comes from Viitorul Voluntari. He seems to be a decent prospect, since he aleardy made his debut for the Romanian NT. The source claims that Manea will leave Viitorul during the next winter and Chelsea will loan him to Vitesse or Mallorca, in Spain. SOURCE Transfermarkt profile
  10. Lol I probably won't make 500.000 during my whole lifetime.
  11. Once a c&nt, always a c&nt. Ladies and gentlemen, Rio Ferdinand.
  12. For decent streams, try this: http://www.sports-tv.eu/ Some of them are in Romanian, but at least they work just fine.
  13. Since when does defending well make utilising the attacking talent in our squad impossible?
  14. Brana is so good offensively, I can't even believe it.
  15. Well, that defence sure looks promising. Specially if we think about the fact that it is the same from last season. Whatever, I might be overreacting, we'll just have to wait and see if my concerns and critics are justified or not.
  16. No. I'm expecting us to be strong defensively, not to give Leicester three or four one-on-one situations against the goalkeeper, not to concede just after we score, not to give Swansea City so many goal scoring opportunities. I'm expecting us not to have blackouts like we had in the first 20 minutes of today's game. I'm expecting us to dominate our 'decent' opponents from the very first minutes of the game. I'm expecting this team to play fast and attractive football, as we were promised during the last season when we 'did what we were able to do with what we had, in order to get the most out of it'. Now we have all we need, but there are still problems. That's what makes me wonder about a few things.
  17. "we're facing a decent team". Lol. That's probably a great excuse to give them a lot of good chances. Just like we did against Leicester. Just like we allowed Everton to score three goals against us (oh, I forgot, they are a decent team too). I wonder what happens when we play a good team or a great team, if we are so sloppy and flat against "decent" teams.
  18. Everybody was under the impression of those 9 out of 9 points and those 6 goals scored against Everton. But now, if you think about it clrealy, this team has a lot of flaws and some are even more pronounced than they were last year. I don't care about the other teams. I'm just saying that I had other expectations from Chelsea. We were told last season that the squad wasn't strong enough, that we are still building, we're the little horse. Now we're one of the big horses, but some essential things seem to be the same. And yes, I still think the same even after Diego's goal.
  19. After that Arsenal-City game, this really looks like shit. I never doubted Mourinho, but looking at our squad and at the way we're playing... It just raises a question mark. Except for some good moments, specially against Burnley and Everton, we've been slow and flat. When we don't score early in the game, we're struggling. With Fabregas, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Willian, Diego Costa you really expect something else from us. Not to mention the awful defending. This is not a reaction coming after 35 awful minutes. The same things happened against Leicester City.
