They won 4 La Liga titles in the last 5 years. 17-4 = 13, in my book. Count them yourself, if you don't believe me. You tried to make a point by saying that Real Madrid (one of the 'offensive teams' examples gave by MrBlueGuy) was lucky to equalize in the last minute. So I'm talking about Chelsea, because Chelsea won the UCL at penalties and after equalizing in the 89th minute. Yes, we did that WHILE PLAYING DEFENSIVE against Bayern. That's the whole point.
-
Lol "the goal". Stoke scored against them too, on Etihad. Great attacking display by Stoke, then?
-
Ok. Let's rule out the La Liga trophies. Which leaves them with 13 others. Like we didn't equalise in the 89th minute, or something, and won it on penalties. People said that football is changing ever since Greece won the European in 2004. Football has already changed.

I can't really remember United parking the bus against anyone, to be fair. And still, I really don't think that Fergie ever spent as much money as we did in the last few years. I don't think that Fergie ever got himself three of the best players in Europe during the same transfer window. About the 'we can attack and play good stuff" part, please, let me know where did you see any of that yesterday.
-
Barcelona became the most succesful European club in the last 5 years by playing 'sexy football'. Let me tell you about throphies: they've won like 17 trophies during this time. Sexy football never means no trophies and parking the bus never means tons of trophies. So what's your point?
-
Sorry, mate, but, first off, I am one of those who criticized the way we're defending and playing, in general, exactly during the game against Swansea City. So no, it's not an overreaction. Secondly, this was the first big game of the season, the first chance to prove the 'big horse' status that Mourinho claimed. As seen, he blew it. It was the same old us, just like the last season. We did the same thing on Etihad as we did the last time, when we didn't have the likes of Fabregas and Costa. Of course now it's the time to get upset, because now was the time to see the change and we didn't see it.
-
I never said that not winning the game is the problem, so I don't understand your post. I also never said that we should go in with the same attitude as we did against Swansea. If anyone told me a few days ago that we'd draw 1-1 on Etihad, I would've been happy with it. What bothers me, and I was pretty specific about it, is the manner in which we approach this kind of games. I think it's safe to say that we are one of the best 7 clubs in Europe right now, the other 6 being Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Atletico, Borussia and PSG/City. We've won two European trophies in the last 3 seasons and played a UCL semifinal last year. We signed three of the best players in Europe: Fabregas, Costa, Filipe Luis and brought back Courtois, arguably one of the best 3 goalkeepers in the world at the moment. The point is that we are a strong club, we're not Tottenham, with all due respect. Almost everyone says that we are the #1 favourites to win the league title this year. And yet, we still play with fear against our main rivals. Why can't we show a little swagger, a little winning attitude? I'm not saying that we should go all over City or Arsenal or Liverpool away, but parking the bus is way too embarassing at this level. When you have Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Schurrle, Oscar, Costa it's just dreadful to park the bus over and over again. And some of you are talking about our defence like it's at a Conference level. And like it's God fault that we didn't buy a CB during the summer. Losing 5-1 on Anfield happens when you're shit, not when you play attacking, positive football. Stop confusing things. P.S: Remember when Mourinho promised us that he will change the way the team plays? Remember when he said that this season we are one of the big horses? Well, it's not a miracle that we look better against small teams. It's actually normal. But when you claim that you are a big horse, I expect you to prove it against another big fucking horse, not against Swansea City. And, at the end of the day, it seems to me that we are still acting like a little horse.

Since Guardiola left Barcelona, Messi looks a little bored. It's like he's already done it all and now he's just waiting for the end of the career. He doesn't have that ambition anymore, I don't even think he enjoys what he does as much as he did a few years ago. Or maybe is just a wrong impression.
-
That's right, we're not real fans and that is because we dare to criticize the manager's tactics. I wonder if you realize how lame you look when you make all these asumptions about other people not being real fans just because they disagree with you or with the manager. Mourinho is not God, you know, and I personally don't give a crap about the fact that some people here seem to be ready to build him statues in front of their own home. If I think he made a mistake, I say he made a mistake. But, hell, probably I'm not a real Chelsea fan.
-
First off, the 'last season champions' thing is not an arguement. United were 'last season champions' too in 2013-2014. They finished 7th, right? Secondly, one point is good, but it's obvious that we could've done better.
-
And how exactly were we trying not to concede? By giving them the ball and the chance to attack us? We should've kept the ball and expect them to come at us, and then hit them again on a counter attack. That's what big teams do. We could've even lost this game 11 vs. 10 because of the stupid tactics. They were rushing while we were waiting for time to pass at 1-1. I won't get over it, because it is not a right thing and it is against my views towards football and towards how a big club should manage this kind of situations. And like it or not, I will keep criticizing Mourinho for going this way when I know that we can do better.
-
Yes, we are. Or, at least, our form was better. Before the game against us, they only won 2 out of the first 6 official games of the season. We won 4 out of 5. They lost against Stoke, drew against Arsenal (defensively, they were very, very poor on Emirates), and were coming after a last minute loss against Bayern (not too good for their morale, is it?). Their best player, Yaya Toure, is not having the best time of his career and their attack is not even close to being as incisive as it was the last season. It was a huge chance to go 8 points clear, but we chose to not even try. And I wonder what's the excuse for what happened when we were 11 vs. 10 and one goal ahead.
-
You just can't defend your point of view without cursing and swearing the other person like a fucking cunt, can you? I'm unhappy with the way Chelsea approaches the big games, I don't want 4 points against City, I want 6. I don't want to always defend against City, I want to control the game for once and play like a big fucking club. What's wrong with that? Oh, yeah, it's against your opinion and you have to start acting like a cunt, of course.
-
Better squad my ass. Look at their bench and at our bench, FFS. You're reducing it to this game only, but the problem is much bigger. This is what we've been doing ever since Mourinho came back. Playing like pussies. I can't remember the last big away game treated with BALLS by Chelsea.
-
Why? We have a great squad, had a very good start of the season. So why go for only ONE point? Why not try to get all the points? I just don't get it. Jose went for one point, but why should we be happy about it and say that "see, he got what he wanted!"? It's bullshit, the same bullshit from last season, when we should've trashed United on their ground, but we struggled for the same old ONE point. Why are we so afraid?
-
Well, maybe if Jose would have freaking asked for a CB in the summer...
-
Just because we scored 6 against Everton, doesn't mean we controlled that game. Our possesion was 38%.
-
What scares me the most is that while our defence looks like crap, their new boy, Mangala, is a freaking monster.
-
Messi does just the minimum. Ronaldo pushes it to the limit. What's the sixtuplet? I didn't say that he's a con. This is just a debate (which will probably never end). I'm not saying that Ronaldo is better than Messi, I'm just saying that I like his style more. There's nothing wrong with being on the other side either.
-
So has Ronaldo. Even better, he's also won the Premier League.
-
I am really angry right now, but calling Lampard a c*nt is not a decent thing to do. It's not his fault. His only mistake is that he broke his promise. He told us that HE WON'T PLAY AGAINST CHELSEA. But life is life and shit happens. We shouldn't lose ourselves thinking about that. We should focus on our fucking ball-less tactics. One extra man and still parking the bus. Same old Chelsea, right?
-
This is bullshit. Defending against 10 men. Fuck off.
-
What the fuck, Drogba?!
-
"There's nothing wrong with him going to City. Bench warmer and homegrown for them." Fucking hell. Not to mention the "I won't play against Chelsea" bullshit.
-
Don't raise your expectations too high. All this hype around Costa might make his and our life miserable in the future. As Jose and even Diego himself said, the goals will stop at a certain point. That point may be today. He was great against Leicester, Swansea, Burnley, Everton, but these teams don't really have Kompany, for example. This is a difficult game, the first real test for the team and for Costa in particular.
