well i`d play for free too.. i`m 34, so nobody can say i`m inexperienced. i`ve got a shot like Johnny Metgod. pace that can live with anyone over a yard or two...after about 3 or 4 yards i`m keeled over coughing my guts up..but at 6 foot 1 and just over 200lbs i`m atleast an obstacle that the opposition would have to get around rather than through. and i satisfy the "homegrown" rule..

some of the Wycombe players have been pro`s for years...the scoreline doesn`t read very good..but like i`ve said before, the youngsters need to play in the senior team surrended by experienced heads before we can fairly judge them. all that said..Di Santo starting his third consecutive friendly and not making his mark on any of the games after his loan spell at Blackburn,doesn`t look good for him.

quality player but... 1)He plays for Lyon..who as we know with the Essien saga..don`t hand over their players without kicking and screaming all the way.. 2)he`s left footed..and unfortunately we must be the only team in the world who have so many left footers but not many right footers. 3) he`ll soon turn 28...but that`s not as key as point 1 & 2.

i want us to sign Ramires as he`s a quality young player who would fit in well with us...but if this latest news is true..it makes me feel like we should tell Benfica to go fook themselves...we need a midfield addition now and they seem to be trying to play us like fools...not only over this but Luiz too.. not sure where we go from here tho..perhaps try and hijack the Khedira to Real deal..or/and go for Ozil..can`t believe Tottenham are currently favorites to sign him.

what about the "foreignors" who are under 21..and have not been with us for 3 years yet? that`s the part that confuses me...i`ve read on the thread that we can have as many under 21`s as we want but does that include those players too or not?

he is a quality defender, of that there is no doubt in my mind...but £33 million is too much for a team who aren`t in dire need of a new CB..hope he stays at Benfica because he would make either Man city or Real a better team..especially Man City..who i would only class as a serious threat to us if they could get their defense sorted out.

if Carlo wants to add an experienced Goalkeeper,that`s better than Turnbull & Hilario..signing Ramires will not prevent it,nor signing a Neymar or somebody of that ilk.

wish some people would realise that Mikel and Ramires are both very good players and with both of them at 23 years of age,still improving...also that they are different players with different skill sets who are not in competition for that one starting DM role.

Ramires and Neymar i think are the only ones who seem to be realistic at this point..because we have atleast made an offer for them..i know Chelsea have said they wont comment on transfer targets but i think if a club came out with an official statement saying that Chelsea had made an official bid..if it wasn`t true then Chelsea would come out and officially deny it. although it seems very unlikely that Lukaku will leave Anderlecht this year..i would be delighted to see him signed up but loaned straight back to them if needs be to strike a deal...it could be that we have already struck such a deal but Anderlecht have requested as part of the deal that it isn`t disclosed until next summer. tho there could be no deal in place atall at this time,so back on topic..i don`t see us signing anyone else than Ramires and maybe Neymar. the Torres coming to us rumours seem even more unlikely to be true than the Cole to Madrid rumours.

got bad vibes about this to be honest..given the money he has spent on transfers and the number of hit and misses..it dont sound like he`s done a better job than the average fan would do.

should be kept to comply with the new rules and given a proper chance with the first team squad....give him a proper position and a year to prove himself at it with both him and Mancienne i can see us letting both of them go,but sometime in the next two to three years regretting it and then trying to buy them back for three or four times the price we sold them for.
