  1. Think we at the very least need to tie up Mount to a long term deal before we consider letting Conor go but even then i wouldnt. Don’t see us using a 3-4-3 as our primary formation.there’s a role here for him in a midfield 3.
  2. Aside from 5th tier footballers everyone of them in England is over priced but i’d put his at around 120m price tag in current market and feel he is worth that. Proper DM that can also create and has winners driven mentality. Huge desire to play for us.very safe signing.
  3. I love Kante.i will always love Kante.but i’m totally fine with him leaving on a free.he has repaid his transfer fee. i wouldnt have offered him anymore than a rolling one year contract.we would be foolish to offer him the length we reportedly have let along that which he reportedly desires. No hard feelings, just don’t agree to it..time for younger players to rise and shine!
  4. Bobby Robson,Terry Venables.even Harry Redknapp(when considering his work at West Ham and Pompey)i’d say were decent. i wouldnt say English managers are the joke of Europe,as that continent is bigger than the few say 5 or 6 countries (including Scotland) that produces better coaches and they come from countries whose top divisions don’t hire coaches from abroad so much because the attraction to coach there isnt so high as it is to coach in England.so say each of those countries have 80-90% homegrown coaches.obviously the more that are produced the higher number that succeed. Most of the top English clubs are foreign owned and know coaches from all over the world are open to joining them,so the desire to look at homegrown coaches is reduced as is the number that are produced.
  5. Every hire is a risk always,be it players or coaches regardless of what they have done before. faint hearts wouldnt have given the world cheese cake.
  6. When i was at the 1997 cup final going mental because Di Matteo scored a screamer in the first minute i didnt consider the keeper picking the ball out of the net would 25 years later become our keepers coach. Good luck to him and the other coaches.Good luck to GP.
  7. Be interesting to see what underperforming players can salvage their CFC careers under Potter (presuming he gets the job). I’m sure almost all will be looking to tear up trees in the early days but whom will improve more longterm. would be a risky move but is not like we stick with a coach/manager for several years when it turns sour. At worst he gets replaced in January,at best he gets the England job after Southgate and a few titles.
  8. Enjoying european football alot more tonight than yesterday.feel like smothering myself in pasta sauce and riding my pops old lambretta through the city tonight.
  9. I don’t buy that TB didnt want TT.why back him so much in the transfer window. It’s obviously whats gone on since the Spurs game, that’s caused it. sad day at the bridge.thanks for the good times Tommy and keeping us together during unprecidated times.
  10. Rob Dorsett Senior SSN reporter said Graham Potter hasn’t spoken to Marina or Petr..why would he speak to them? SSN needs somebody more in the loop
  11. Wonder how Gilmour feels, especially if Tuchel ends up at Brighton ..🤨 (my money is on Leipzig) .Auba probably wishes he wasnt so shot shy yesterday or chose to use his justified sick note.
  12. Dinama Zagreb one of those great factories of quality young players.one of those games where we should get a positive result but if we take them lightly we could be punished. I hope Tommy avoids picking too many of the slow old dogs in our team.get the blend right. not so much a prediction but team i’d start with would be 4-3-3 with Kepa,James,Koulibaly,Fofana,Chilwell,Zakaria,Kovacic,Gallagher,Mount,Havertz,Broja.(balance of rotation rather than picking the best possible) i expect Tuchel will go for what he sees as his best 11 with Silva,Sterling and Jorginho ,Mendy starting.
  13. Not even in the registered CL 24 is depressing.is a B list but would prefer if we put 3rd choice keeper on that than someone who should be starting upfront for atleast some of the games.
  14. Zakaria confirmed at 1:02am on SSN. Probably never top Ashley for late deadline day signings but was starting to get abit nervous.
  15. Overall pretty happy with what we’ve done in the window..considering the take over happened and we don’t have a DoF in place yet. the ones we have overpaid for are good players.signed on longterm deals. Nice injection of talented youth. signings that could go either way are reasonably priced. best of all we have seen that Boehly is a quality owner.
  16. From Barcelona to Chelsea to Volendam..quite a fall but perhaps a move back to his homeland can help him rise again. I’m thinking Boehly took the call and asked Whats a Volendam..
  17. I’m less frustrated by not being able to get the russian kid yet because of our return to not giving teenagers a proper chance anyway.
  18. Now we got Fofana i think we’ll (atleast we should) see more 4-3-3 opens up options of Mount and Gallagher doing good in the 3. we basically been running with formations that have suited our CB’s but hinders our CM’s.
  19. Good squads are built like Noah’s ark 2 by 2. Alvarez be a decent option to have mostly on the bench for Rice and can fill in at the back.and help us out in the meantime. Getting Fofana makes us much more flexible with formations but we badly missing a DM and i’d prefer us pay 40m to get one now rather than waiting on Rice before we can challenge for silverware again.
  20. Loan him out if don’t want to use him even though we kinda need all the healthy CM’s we got. he may not be part of Tuchel’s plans but who knows if Tuchel will be part of the Chelsea’s plans in a years time. Won’t hurt to wait a year to decide.
  21. Could have had Soler or Gravenberch for less than we paid for a promising 18 year old that Tommy apparently promised gametime, aslong as all other outfield players have had some first.
  22. Rice has seemed inevitable at some point but not yet.still we should atleast be getting a DM in now who can start for now but be Rice’s understudy in the future.doesn’t have to be a big name just someone who can take us away from ping pong football.
  23. I have a mexican friend who i saw ask a german friend what he thought of Hitler.so what you said isnt quite in that ballpark but it’s close.. Lots of difference between Torres and Fofana though. Fofana is risky because he’s probably one more serious knee injury from becoming this generations Ledley King at worse,at best Paul McGrath.
  24. I see Anthony being as big a risk.Gordon doesnt have a ton of EPL experience but Anthony has none.i wouldnt buy anyone from Holland for above 30m.plenty of great players have come from there but about 95% were from over 20 years ago. if going foreign route and wanting to pay similar money.i would personally go for someone like Yeremy Pino.has lots of traits that TT desires. Although not much of a goal scorer.will press and free up Reece to attack freely.
  25. Just wondering against dirty Leeds United, what odds Cucurella comes out in a swimming cap.
