  1. Dias went for 61m plus add ons aswell as City sent them Otamendi as part of the deal.different signing players from Portugal’s big 3 than big 4 in Italy tho.In Portugal they have a regular flow of South American young talent in part because they accept they are stepping stones to bigger things. In Italy they tend to believe they are the best even though been a while since they were top in Europe. Dias is better than de Ligt at present but if compare how rated he was when he joined City compared to de Ligt now then probably not. if looking at Portugal for reasonably priced CB’s Inacio has a 39m release close and Wolves are reportedly trying to get him for 30m.but if we sign CB’s that can play LCB then i’d personally be looking at those that can slide over to replace Silva if we persist longterm with the back 3 and i’m not sure if Inacio has that.
  2. I’d do that..when Barcelona don’t come up with a satisfactory offer and Raphina wants to join us again offer him a kebab a week. He wanted us when it was between us and Arsenal.we can pretend we need 2 wide forwards. in light of Lukaku and Courtois’ behaviour..i’m not too pissed at Raphina..atleast he didnt become a Chelsea player before doing it.
  3. Him and Luca Netz i like as under the radar young LB/LWB from Germany..in part because i won 8 national titles and 6 European cups with them as Schalke in Fifa..🙃
  4. I don’t think he’s having full control but certainly for this window only he will have as close as he will get to it.what’s the alternative to it tho. What we had in recent years was worse and anyone new coming in needs a few months to really set up who we need. I’d say head coach/manager should be able to veto moves but not be the only one making decisions,a partnership.
  5. Although he does have some position flexibility i’d say only LCB is he any good at but just having some level of skill at others can see someone getting a matchday squad place ahead of better players.
  6. Hope we get de Ligt and Sterling in.those are the two that tick all the boxes really. Then take a breath and make shrewd moves considering longtern consequences of everyone we may buy.once those two are in the clubhouse we can drop down a level from panic mode.
  7. Ake link depresses me.not because of his own skill or ego etc..but unlike Gvardiol,de Ligt,KK,Bastoni etc..he would almost certainly block Colwill’ path to the first team.others could for a season but then can move inside to take over from Silva.Ake is LCB that can be deputy at LB/LWB so far more harmful to Colwill. You could argue that Ake be better for this upcoming season but after that you left with an expensive back up or lose a very longterm solution at LCB whose english as we did with Guehi and/Tomori .
  8. The likes of Barcelona and Inter shop at Harrods on a Poundland budget.
  9. £200m aint gonna get the supposed 6 new signings we need..i’d say closer to 300m which maybe with sales aslong as we arent dealing so much with italian clubs we may be able to bring in the extra 100m. Skriniar ticks alot of boxes but inter joined the list of clubs i wouldnt personally want to have any more dealings with after the Lukaku farce. De Light -yes please..been a fan since he first broke into the Ajax side. Ake-no thanks..i’d bet on Colwill having a better career during the time span they both play and then Colwill will probably play for another 7 years after Ake has retired. My dream would be a back 3 of Colwill,Gvardiol and De Ligt. CM i think we’ll be getting a cheaper option in someone like Rabiot this year.then go nuts deep next summer in that department. Sterling i would love.Raphina i would hope for the best but think 2 expensive wide forwards would be abit over kill if we intend on keeping. 3-4-3 as Mount only really suits wide in the front 3.so you looking at Raphina at around 60m to mostly be on the bench.Richarlison due to more flexibility makes more sense..though even then a risk as are his team mates holding him back or is he really not someone who can consistently make positive contributions. we should spend big on central defenders they are kinda the safest positions to accurately judge whilst at other clubs.and Sterling is a pretty safe buy so positive about those kind of transfers and hoping for the best with who else we may sign.
  10. Havertz with Broja as alternate for the center of the front 3 works for me,if we get Sterling in. More goals in our front 3.more energy.more desire, integrity etc.. I’m fine with us rolling with that if we get stronger elsewhere..there are some CF’s out there that might be worth a gamble but there’s a free roll of the dice with Broja.
  11. I read somewhere the other day Howe only has between 80-100m for this windows kitty. Obviously their owners have silly wealth but doesn’t mean they are gonna spend the most. 80-100m is pretty much mid table spending for the prem,if that report i read is true ofcourse.
  12. Spurs get a good player for a good price but Bayern getting Gravenberch for just £16.7m is one that really sticks in my claw.
  13. £200m aint really that much when you think of how many we need so makes some sense to not be putting in the offers teams can’t refuse that are about £20m over their market value. Not sure how the kitty we have to spend if we sign someone on a free transfer would be. with TB taking over ownership it would have been good to start taking control back and teach clubs we aren’t gonna be ripped off anymore but not ideal when the whole football world know in some areas we are desperate. with Lukaku i’d be close to telling Inter and him to wake up in the real world or fook off,you got 48 hours or it’s over. Can’t afford his transfer fee, don’t want to swap any players we desire. I’d be fook off and we will only do business with your rivals for any players.
  14. Obviously they don’t do it all but managers should look at who their scouts etc..have found and then make the decision.atleast for the under the radar signings. Don’t need scouts for players he’s regularly coach against or with.
  15. World cup year.we could always threaten him with we wont sell him until January and we will give him zero minutes.see how the Belgians fare if they line up with Lukaku looking like Barry White in Qatar.. (although the author admits Barry White chased after Pork Chops and Pussy with alot more vigour than Le Wardrobe chased after anything less than a perfect pass)
  16. As it should have always been. One of the two major issues with Roman that held us back from even more success than we got.
  17. We should demand either one in exchange.straight swap would be fair enough but Italian clubs take the piss..buy cheap/loan with the parent club contributing to salary and sell as expensive as they can get. They’ll want to keep those and get Lukaku “on the never never” i’d say out of the 3 Skriniar is the one we have the best chance with.but even then it isnt likely to be a swap deal..they’ll want say 80m for Skriniar and to pay peanuts for our current sulky Belgian.
  18. Brennan Johnson playing today for Forest would be my under the radar signing for our front three, although would only do that if we also got someone more proven at a higher level.i think he’s gonna command a much larger fee in the next year to 18months..if Forest go up today they may not be willing to lose him but if they don’t maybe we could get him for a reasonable price. Not a priority signing but the kind of player the likes of Dortmund would sign now and sell for 3,4,5 times more in a couple of years.(though we wouldnt have to sell like they often do)players on the rise before they reached their peak is way we should go with majority of our signings imo
  19. I think if we sell Jorginho and Dave then maybe Kovacic gets the armband..if indeed it’s deemed too soon for Mount. There isnt really any obvious choices but looking at those who play with a certain fire in their bellies. and although RJ does he is more of a silent assassin at this point of his career.
  20. If we can play with 3 right footed CB’s in a back 3 why can’t we have more than one lefty? Gvardiol can cover LB spot ,one of them could take over from Silva eventually. don’t see it being a case of Gvardiol or Colwill. Colwill at worst is a big upgrade over Sarr.
  21. Some of media saying if we get Gvardiol then it rules out Colwill but i don’t see it like that. If in a back 3 it’s fine to have 3 right footers then why is more than 1 lefty a problem. i’d keep Colwill around even if it was 2nd choice LCB.trust him far more than Sarr.but won’t be long until Silva is done and the one of then could take over in the middle. Koundes i see as 1st choice RCB or 2nd choice RB in a back 4.so no worries about height..essentially in some ways a younger “Dave”. My main reason for wanting him is we have a quality HC and i always want them when we have one to get as many of their targets as possible. we could sign 3-5 defenders this window.(counting wingbacks as defenders) but probably 3 is the minimum.with Colwill coming into 1st team squad. looks like we won’t get one of the higher rated DM this window but even if we planning on getting a Rice,Bellingham etc..in the near future i still think we will sign 1 this window and go for one of those next summer.if we committing to having any particular system or style then we need 2 good ones in each position. upfront i’d keep Broja around as the 2nd choice CF..if he struggles we always got Havertz to turn to. Lukaku might be hard to shift this year with teams that may want him not really having the cash..but some of those have players we should have interest in if we ready to ..i’d happily swap a Skrinier or Bastoni for Le Wardrobe..
  22. One year left but told Bayern he won’t extend.
  23. I think he’ll still leave within the next year or two..just PSG will get a transfer fee and unless the spanish clubs get their finances sorted then it won’t be them.
  24. Gvardiol and Colwill for LCB be sweet.Gvardiol be solid cover for LB when we play a back 4. If we say sign Gvardiol and Koundes then we set for a strong back 3 with what we already got but could need different players for a back 4..Trev don’t really have much value in a back 4 so the question they need to consider is do they go all in on one formation, system e.g Conte,Pep,Klopp or look to be more flexible.
  25. I am like most Chelsea fans eternally grateful to Roman but there were “wasted years” during his reign.we had success inspite of things that really were counter productive. TB may not quite have Roman’s desire to spend so much (although Roman’s desire to spend did wane over time) but if it’s spent more wisely then less can be more.i expect to see much more stability at the club,no more certain players being more important than top head coaches.we got a great head coach in Tuchel and i expect him to be with us more longterm than anyone was under Roman.we can be built for more sustainable success through continual growth. i expect quite alot of transfer activity in and out over the next 1-2 years then just sensible spending e.g buying rising stars earlier in their career like the likes of Dortmund do.only then not having to sell those players like they do.
