Would have preferred Thiago Silva as player interim coach and potentially have him as an assistant to the new coach,or another coaching role in near future. or Drogba (might atleast have a positive outcome with our forwards)
-
Would have been perfect use of the remainder of this dreadful season to have next seasons coach get a head start to judge the squad before we have to begin to offload 8-10 players before september. But alas..
-
I think the Lamps rumour is entirely based on him being seen at the ground last night. Thank Zola the modern press wasnt around when the likes of Raquel Welch etc..were seen at the bridge.

Pros of each candidate so far: Poch-Knows the league, has a good record of developing young talent.safest pick of the candidates due to only one whose spent any time coaching in England.aside from front 3 our squad has more talent than he’s coached before.despite the press saying we are a club with big ego’s etc.. in our squad.we don’t,we haven’t since the likes of Costa,Courtois and before them even more so with Drogba,Ballack,Lampard,JT etc..he’s coached players with even bigger ego’s than the latter.he’s only won trophies with PSG and although not the one they really want, but same is true with Pep at Man City.he coached Tottenham with tightarse Levy to massively overachieve. Enrique-managed with success at a big club, system suits our current squad ( if our front 3 can score more) despite being at Barcelona his system is quite different to Pep’s.history of over tinkering in past but hopefully learnt from having more success when he didnt. I don’t really consider what his record as international coach was…nobody would put Southgate as a top 5 coach in the world despite his top 3 record at international level. Nagelsmann: tactically astute, has coached at a big club, atleast when media calls our head coach young they would be accurate rather than keep hearing it about a 47year old. Inexperience only a concern to me in regard to of English football, but same applies to all candidates but Poch. i don’t see waiting till the summer as a way of getting much more options really..is only Carlo who might be available that is good enough to add to the mix.

I thought after the mini revival before the Everton game it would take a longer run of dropped points to put Potter back on the hot seat but maybe TB was waiting for Tuchel to become unavailable before pulling the trigger as didnt want to face calls to rehire him.maybe not but just throwing that out there..
-
Pocchetino be the safest bet of those available.i’d be ok with him.the german be the boom or bust pick.
-
For me we got to play either Conor or Mason, playing both is gonna hinder Enzo( unless it’s 4-3-3 with mount wide in a front 3)taking that into account i was happy with Enzo’s debut, especially considering we only signed him midweek.most of his passes were the high percentage type but give him even Zakaria and i think he would be a more offensive factor.
-
At a position it’s hard to adjust to the PL from abroad,he’s looked very assured.others will shine more than they have yet,but so far Benoit is the the best signing of the TB era.
-
I somewhat agree but like 4 and 6,the number been used by both defenders and midfielders since atleast the 1980’s. the worst jersey number for us will always be when we gave defender Khalid Boulahrouz the number 9 shirt.
-
JT put him in his place. Arsenal do like to celebrate a league title 3-4 months before it’s awarded to somebody else. football aside though Piers Morgan is a vile creature leaching on the misery of others.misery that is far worse than us winning 5 league titles since they last won one.

I was excited by Eden but Oscar was at the time more exciting for me. also window we signed Dave,Kakuta,Moses,Demba Ba and Marin so quite a yo-yo window.
-
Don’t know if we still do it now but hope we still have the obligation for players to learn english in their contracts.something that doesnt happen with some south americans and hinders their chances of settling here. probably the most exciting transfer since Oscar…hopefully pans out better in the long run.
-
We knew we couldnt loan him..imagine if we fooked up like Spurs did with Doherty tonight.
-
Plus the two weve signed but won’t get till the summer. Maybe just two more on top of those.
-
There goes another loophole the governing bodies are gonna be closing because it’s us and not their golden boys taking advantage of it.
-
Sky sports reporter said Enzo about to have his medical.. testicles crossed
-
Think we at the very least need to tie up Mount to a long term deal before we consider letting Conor go but even then i wouldnt. Don’t see us using a 3-4-3 as our primary formation.there’s a role here for him in a midfield 3.
-
Aside from 5th tier footballers everyone of them in England is over priced but i’d put his at around 120m price tag in current market and feel he is worth that. Proper DM that can also create and has winners driven mentality. Huge desire to play for us.very safe signing.

I love Kante.i will always love Kante.but i’m totally fine with him leaving on a free.he has repaid his transfer fee. i wouldnt have offered him anymore than a rolling one year contract.we would be foolish to offer him the length we reportedly have let along that which he reportedly desires. No hard feelings, just don’t agree to it..time for younger players to rise and shine!

Bobby Robson,Terry Venables.even Harry Redknapp(when considering his work at West Ham and Pompey)i’d say were decent. i wouldnt say English managers are the joke of Europe,as that continent is bigger than the few say 5 or 6 countries (including Scotland) that produces better coaches and they come from countries whose top divisions don’t hire coaches from abroad so much because the attraction to coach there isnt so high as it is to coach in England.so say each of those countries have 80-90% homegrown coaches.obviously the more that are produced the higher number that succeed. Most of the top English clubs are foreign owned and know coaches from all over the world are open to joining them,so the desire to look at homegrown coaches is reduced as is the number that are produced.
-
Every hire is a risk always,be it players or coaches regardless of what they have done before. faint hearts wouldnt have given the world cheese cake.
-
When i was at the 1997 cup final going mental because Di Matteo scored a screamer in the first minute i didnt consider the keeper picking the ball out of the net would 25 years later become our keepers coach. Good luck to him and the other coaches.Good luck to GP.

Be interesting to see what underperforming players can salvage their CFC careers under Potter (presuming he gets the job). I’m sure almost all will be looking to tear up trees in the early days but whom will improve more longterm. would be a risky move but is not like we stick with a coach/manager for several years when it turns sour. At worst he gets replaced in January,at best he gets the England job after Southgate and a few titles.

Enjoying european football alot more tonight than yesterday.feel like smothering myself in pasta sauce and riding my pops old lambretta through the city tonight.

I don’t buy that TB didnt want TT.why back him so much in the transfer window. It’s obviously whats gone on since the Spurs game, that’s caused it. sad day at the bridge.thanks for the good times Tommy and keeping us together during unprecidated times.
