  1. I’m less frustrated by not being able to get the russian kid yet because of our return to not giving teenagers a proper chance anyway.
  2. Now we got Fofana i think we’ll (atleast we should) see more 4-3-3 opens up options of Mount and Gallagher doing good in the 3. we basically been running with formations that have suited our CB’s but hinders our CM’s.
  3. Good squads are built like Noah’s ark 2 by 2. Alvarez be a decent option to have mostly on the bench for Rice and can fill in at the back.and help us out in the meantime. Getting Fofana makes us much more flexible with formations but we badly missing a DM and i’d prefer us pay 40m to get one now rather than waiting on Rice before we can challenge for silverware again.
  4. Loan him out if don’t want to use him even though we kinda need all the healthy CM’s we got. he may not be part of Tuchel’s plans but who knows if Tuchel will be part of the Chelsea’s plans in a years time. Won’t hurt to wait a year to decide.
  5. Could have had Soler or Gravenberch for less than we paid for a promising 18 year old that Tommy apparently promised gametime, aslong as all other outfield players have had some first.
  6. Rice has seemed inevitable at some point but not yet.still we should atleast be getting a DM in now who can start for now but be Rice’s understudy in the future.doesn’t have to be a big name just someone who can take us away from ping pong football.
  7. I have a mexican friend who i saw ask a german friend what he thought of Hitler.so what you said isnt quite in that ballpark but it’s close.. Lots of difference between Torres and Fofana though. Fofana is risky because he’s probably one more serious knee injury from becoming this generations Ledley King at worse,at best Paul McGrath.
  8. I see Anthony being as big a risk.Gordon doesnt have a ton of EPL experience but Anthony has none.i wouldnt buy anyone from Holland for above 30m.plenty of great players have come from there but about 95% were from over 20 years ago. if going foreign route and wanting to pay similar money.i would personally go for someone like Yeremy Pino.has lots of traits that TT desires. Although not much of a goal scorer.will press and free up Reece to attack freely.
  9. Just wondering against dirty Leeds United, what odds Cucurella comes out in a swimming cap.
  10. Yeah.it’s called April Fools day..just like Apple pie.something that was here centuries before.
  11. Having filthy rich owners aint really helping Newcastle much other than possibly breaking away from their role in football as a yo-yo club. Any takeover at Man U aint gonna be for a few months by which time fighting relegation could become a reality.
  12. It’s not easy to find someone willing to back up one of the greatest players in the world at his position when that player also has atleast another 10 years in the game. So we are limited by how many that are willing to come and also how much we should spend ,for me personally i wouldnt go higher than 30m (but no higher than 15m for Tavernier) in EL he did play against some quality teams this last season but really i’d just look more at the player than who he did what against, his skillset.
  13. Yeah i’ve been thinking that for a while.good back up for RJ at WB. He’s English too. He is far more important to Rangers but in SPL £12m is like getting £120m.
  14. Between him,”Dave”, Cruella,Koulibaly and CC we would become a commentators nitemare.need a few eastern europeans to tip them over the edge.
  15. Yeah,i think i mentioned that maybe last week. Although i do think occassionally he could play in the 2 (especially if we build an elite back 3 and in games against lesser teams) also i expect we will see some 4-3-3 and other formations depending on the opponents. But still probably atleast until January (e.g after the WC) Conor may push for a loan exit not to risk his place in the WC squad. if we sign PEA then maybe Kai moves to some times on the sides of the front 3.We can guess how players are going to be used but really aint gonna find out for a few months.
  16. I’d prefer to keep him and sell Jorginho or Kante but don’t see offloading any of those two being an easy deal to get done. And they do have big game performances in them which Conor doesnt really have experience of.. Where as Conor going on loan would be something that should be quick to complete. I could live with de Jong coming and Conor leaving for a season or even better until January so he can get into the England WC squad. But under no circumstances would i want him to leave permanently.which probably isnt gonna be the case but you never fookin’ know for sure with us.
  17. I agree. Nailed 3 out of 3 on our major signings ,brought in several very promising youngsters.brought back some of our higher performing loan outs. is only Rudi i’ll truly miss from departures but KK a very good replacement. Sterling and Cruella upgrades. de Jong,Fofana (or Skriniar) and we be closer to capable of challenging for league again.
  18. I got a one year in badge today. I’ve been in here for 12 years..🙃
  19. It’s about 18m overpriced but fair to say LWB is locked down for aslong as Chilly and Cruella can co-exist. Glad Levi doesnt appear to be leaving permanently.would have been another Guehi..(Tomori atleast was given a chance before being sold prematurely)
  20. Conor may be seen as someone to cover for Mount aswell as elsewhere. Also consider we can play multiple formations even including more than 2 that include a back 3 and Wingbacks. Jorginho may be happy but i don’t think he’s one of Tommy’s guys really if he gets long enough to shape it exactly as he wants.Kante is much loved but better to have as an extra to wheel out for the big games now rather than expect him to last the grind of a 50plus game season. It is overkill for this season but when 2 are expected to leave next season.with FDJ being perfect for him.why wait till next year if we could possibly get him now. I expect one will leave if we get FDJ in but worrying about that shouldnt close the door to oppurtunities to improve.
  21. I think we’ve seen what the future will look like under TB with the younger signings.his hand was forced abit this window for us remain CL team next year and maybe challenge for some cups this year. In a nutshell i think he’ll spend big when he needs to and in future play harder to get a good deal but overall will look to unearth young talent before their price explodes.
  22. For a little light relief from our transfer window saga after saga.i suggest a Tolstoy novel.
  23. Decrease offer by a million for each day left waiting..gives us 10 days before it equals the 2nd best offer they got. Brighton are in the largest group of clubs in world football.stepping stone clubs.being a stepping stone club in the best division is the pinnacle for such clubs but when they stop accepting their role then they gonna struggle to attract the potentially great players in the future and end up having to shop in the minor leagues again. It’s not good longterm business sense for them to play hardball with a team that offers about 18m over market value.
  24. Buy him but loan him back for the season with option to cancel loan inserted.
  25. Presuming we sign Fofana or another probable starter. Still only leaves us with Colwill (who himself has been linked with a move away) and Big Trev for cover.would be nice to keep him for depth.
