  1. Haha forgive me, I just saw the news now.
  2. 6 vital players? Joe Cole - Not vital (won double without him) Stoch - Not vital, but was one for the future Ballack - Not vital, he gave us a good few years, but we don't need him anymore. a sensible sale Belletti - Not vital, we didn't need him. He was a bench warmer, we don't want to pay a bench warmer? Carvalho - Not vital, has become quite injury prone. Alex is as good, if not better now, and we have replacements. Who's the other 1?
  3. Agreed. £6 million is a good price, let's not forget.. He's not bad!
  4. I think we can cope to be honest.. The Terry/Carvalho partnership isn't what it used to be anymore, Alex has really stepped up in a Chelsea shirt. If he gets injured then Ivanovic can play as centre back, so can Essien and we can promote Bruma. Might as well get a few million from the sale of Carvalho
  5. :') great post. Kakuta, Walker, Bruma, Sala, McEachran, Matić & Töre
  6. I doubt Chelsea will get him, even if they tried. His value has probably shot up past £30million because of the World Cup, Bremen will demand £30 minimum. Only teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City (< Though I highly doubt that) will be in contention to pay this kind of sum. Most likely Bremen will try to hang on to their gem for as long as they can, they don't really have to sell him.
  7. Deco's days are numbered at Chelsea now, like everyone predicted.. story
  8. I'm kind of sick of these articles (no offence to the poster..) but we don't actually need to buy anyone. Least of all these big names that are being named.. Would they be a good edition to the squad? Yes, but should we waste money on new players instead of developing our youth? No! With each new transfer that comes through, who's a guaranteed starter, another player from our youth system will go. I don't blame Stoch for leaving, now that we think about it. He's a starter for Slovakia and probably will be for Fenerbahce. Could we say the same for him at Chelsea? Nope. I personally think, we have a good side right now. We don't need a big "marquee signing". The signing of Yuri Zhirkov was what I like to call a "wise signing", he's a player who's not a big star, but is needed as a backup left-back (which we needed, when Ashley got injured) who can operate in left-wing attack (So if Malouda was to get injured). Instead of articles like "Who should Chelsea buy?" there should be things like "Who should Chelsea promote from their academy?", but media outlets such as Goal.com will not do this because they know people can easily be brainwashed into thinking Chelsea HAVE TO sign big players.
  9. It's worth the extra 30seconds to check. It should only be to see if the ball goes in the net or an offside goal, shouldn't be used for penalty appeals or anything like that.
  10. Calm down. I'm sure there's more to this than we know. Valencia were probably asking for too much, Abramovich wants to keep a lid on how money is going and good on him! We don't want to end up like Liverpool and Manchester United with £million debts. We don't ACTUALLY need Silva, we have enough talent in our squad to last another few years, Ancelotti knows what he's doing.
  11. We've seen it all forum.. the rumours of players from Messi too Yossi. None have ever been so ridiculous as to what I bring you today.. Truly the best rumour ever, purely for how it is. Impossible this story, just impossible. I won't quote it, to keep your humour up.. so here's the direct link Best rumour ever.
  12. Thing is, by UEFA's definition.. Home-grown means Key term here: "regardless of their nationality"
  13. Who wants to bet we won't sign Aguero? But fuck me. Manchester City's squad next season will be unbelievable!
  14. Joe Cole wasn't "bad".. He just wanted more money (probably) But that's off topic, Ramos is having a good world cup, but he's a right back. Needless to say, we have 2 good able right-back and a surplus of central defenders. Ashley Cole is the best left-back in the world, Zhirkov is not an ideal replacement (no offence to his talent).
  15. Looks like Chelsea are set to retain Michael Mancienne for next season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/wolverhampton_wanderers/8772838.stm
  16. It won't happen. Ashley is a very important players from us. & £25million for the world's best left back? Be serious Real.
  17. Looks like we're set to lose out to Manchester City again, Daily Mail report a sum of £25million
  18. It would be a reunion of sort as it was Ian Holloway who first discovered Scott Sinclair at 10 years old. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/859047/HOLLOWAY-EYES-SINCLAIR-REUNION.html
  19. Following on from Silva, seems like City are liking whoever we're linked with (Let's pray they take Yossi from us too!) http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6236255,00.html
  20. So much for our hopes.. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6235979,00.html
  21. Walcott is so over-hyped it's unbelievable. All he has is pace. He doesn't have good ball control, his crosses aren't effective and he can't finish under pressure. I was glad Capello left him out. I do agree on the main point, however. I think Adam Johnson and Ashley Young should have gone for Heskey and Crouch
  22. Joe Cole claims "political reasons" lead him to be released by Chelsea earlier this month. Speaking to The Guardian, Joe says: Finally he addresses us, the fans, who have been wanting answers for so long now, he says: Typical, Joe leaves us in further suspense. Now that his international duty is over (sorry for being so blunt) Joe can finally concentrate on finding a new club. (Full story here)
  23. I highly doubt it. He's easily go enough left in him to compete in the Euro2012 championships.
