  1. ....No words can express how much of a bad decision I think this is.
  2. Our last #7 shirt was given to Quaresma, our #9 is Di Santo who received it in his first season. No offence to the guy, but how can we give the number of JFH and Crespo to someone who wouldn't feature heavily? The #9 and #7 and now #10 should be reserved for people who are most likely to start, so that being said, I don't think the youngsters are ready for these numbers yet. I've always felt the #7 is for a winger, but that's just my opinion. I see Kakuta as a future #10
  3. I was, but then I realised look at what we've done this season without him being featured much. Not trying to say he's been useless, he proves how useful he is vs United but we've got a lot of talent still. Essien, Lampard, Mikel, Malouda (he counts 8-)) and then comes our youth: Sotch, Kakuta, Matic
  4. The day I see shirt number #69 will be a great day for humour
  5. Not a bad birthday present.. First season = Domestic double, there's a nice few £Million bonus Happy Birthday Carlo!
  6. Just a brief note on that (don't want to dig this up again).. Bridge did nothing to get booed, I found it disgraceful that people did that to him. As long as Joe doesn't talk out against the club, it'll be alright.. (hopefully)
  7. True.. But he has made 38 appearances for Chelsea this season! Considering the seriousness of the Injury he's come back from, it's a good amount for a comeback season. But, I think it's the best decision for him and Chelsea. I'm seriously hoping he'll address the fans after the World Cup, we deserve that much.
  8. It seems quite obvious now that Joe Cole won't be going abroad to play his future football. So that means he'll be signing with rivals, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United or Manchester City. And that, my friends, means eventually Joe Cole will play his football at the Bridge again. Against Chelsea! My question to all of you, who go to the Bridge is, will you boo him? In his own right, Joe Cole is ChelseaFC legend. But we've seen such players before, i.e. Wayne Bridge, been booed at Stamford. I ask this question, because there is some obvious discontent at Joe Cole. The whole reason his gone is because he hasn't been given the wages he's demanded, thus he's left for money. I personally won't boo him, but will any of you? Joe Cole's Chelsea statistics Premier League Winner Medals: 2004-05, 2005-06 & 2009-10 FA Cup: 2006-07, 2008-09 & 2009-10 Carling Cup: 2004-05 & 2006-07 PFA Team of the Year: 2006 Chelsea Player of the Season: 2008 Total appearances: 183 Total Goals: 28
  9. Pato unsure about his AC Milan future, could Chelsea lure him away? Goal.com has the story here. Then again, this is Goal.com reporting.
  10. Seems the news hasn't gone down well with Ballack http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6198425,00.html
  11. We'll miss you Julianooooooooooo ....BELLETTI!
  12. Can't say I fully agree.. There's alot of emphasis put on how much the youth will play a part next season but let's not forget about those who are still staying.. -------------Mikel (DMF)--------------- Lampard (CMF) -- Essien (CMF) Anelka (SS) -- Drogba (CF) -- Malouda (Left Wing) For the youth you can put Essien back to DMF and bring in Matic to pair Lampard.. for Kakuta you can take out Malouda, then drop Kakuta into either an Attack Mid or Support Striker, with Anelka pairing Drogba as a CF..3 In the senario of Lampard getting an injury, Essien will become the senior midfield in which case I see Carlo doing a 4-3-3 the midfield looking like: Mikel (DMF) Essien (AMF) -- Kakuta/Matic (AMF) My point is, there's no need for any other signings.. We're pretty much sorted whatever.
  13. I like Gokhan Tore.. He's well built and a good technical player, he'd make good protection for the little guys like Kakuta lol xD
  14. Agreed! Roman's taking a tight line with the players now. His decision to hold all contract talks till end of the season back in Feb or March was a good decision. It meant focus could come back into the squad, and what do you know.. We won the Double Ballack, well I think he'll look at this as a positive. He's had a good 4 years, and won numerous things with Chelsea, he'll probably be happy that he'll get a chance somewhere else (rumours say Real Madrid) which would be good for his career. I'm sad to see Joe Cole leave in such circumstances. Still have great respect for his football, but not as a Chelsea fan. I still wish him the best in whatever club he goes to know (Arsenal?).. I was one of those who voted him our player of the season 2 seasons ago because of how he shone. It's a shame the injuries cost him last season.. This is a clear message from Roman, "don't get too big for your boots".. Salary caps are looking to get imposed and transfer budgets will remain tight, all in the best interest of the club. It leans us that much closer to being self-sustaining. Time for Kakuta, Matic, ect to step up. This coming season will be a promising one for the Chelsea FC Future..
  15. Spot on mate, MirrorFootball today reports a bid of £25million! See it here
  16. Chelsea make it official http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2067102,00.html http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2067096,00.html
  17. I recommend Carefree Chris's season review. If you don't know, Carefree Chris is a fan who's been making superb season review videos for Chelsea for the last few years. He does other videos too and various graphics. It's all available to see and download here: http://www.carefreechris.com/
  18. You can read the story here. From what I know, he's a 22 year-old winger, has had an injured season though. We're facing competition from Wigan, Burnley, Middlesbrough and FC Twente (according to the article) I don't believe this story one bit. We've already got a winger who's looking very very impressive (Stoch) A quick YouTube search led me to find this..
  19. Now that the departures of JC and MB are more or less confirmed, rumours are going to flood in with possible replacements (we don't need any but yeah..) The Guardian have sparked this one, they don't give much detail, just that we'll battle José for him.
  20. Hope they're not refering to Joe.. This whole forum expected it to happen.. Disappointed about Ballack though, I thought he might have had another season to feature, ah well. Good luck to both of them, they've given a great contribution to the success of the club.
  21. What about Jacapo Sala? I've heard promising things about him?
  22. Can't say I agree with you there. Ramos is a right-back by trade, it's the only reason we're linked to him. Because José wants to play him where you've placed him, but Ramos wants to play on the right. We don't need him.. It'd be a waste of 35mill
  23. No doubt! I even editted my Pro Evolution Soccer game to have this as the away kit instead of the current one
