Definitely! 'Professional' player my ass, what justification is there for players reporting back for duty overweight? Their whole lifestyle should be catering for their physical requirements to be a footballer. They're paid thousands of pounds a week to do so!

I don't know why we fought to keep Remy to be honest, thought Mourinho would've had a plan for playing him. Not just as a contingency in case Costa backfired.

Nah I think Ramires is good to have around, as a squad player why not? Let's be honest, he's already penned a new contract so he's pretty much staying put. Don't see that as a negative thing, he's better than Mikel.

Fuck me, Everton totally ballsed it up today

26 if you made him captain

I envy Thanksgiving food. Diwali is great and all, but its veggie food

Really? I like a lot of the kits they make.

Not that it matters, but I wish we would switch to Nike lol

Don't see why he shouldn't be given an extension. Would be a useful backup player when younger player take their spot, but I guess that role is between him and Terry. Cahill is a lot easier to replace than Terry.

It's just the internet guys, smoke better dope

At this rate, I'll take us re-signing Anelka, Malouda and Kalou

Fair enough mate. I think if he was willing to convert into an out and out striker role then he would be an ideal fit here. I believe we'd still be able to get another 3-4 seasons out of him in that role and he knows the English game very well. This a very big hypothetical anyway, I don't believe there's any substance in this rumour, but it's nice to think

Only made his loan move to Roma permanent in June, can't believe no-one else snapped him up

He won't leave, not with this amount of limelight. Image would be damaged.

How old is this kid, 19?

I fucking hate Tottenham as a club, but I do admire their squad a lot. What they're becoming under MP is brilliant, young hungry players have been trusted over more established stars. They've got a good mix of kids (Alli, Kane, Dier, etc) with experience (Vertoghen, Lloris, etc). I hope we smash them, but they're currently unbeaten in 12(?) and have home advantage. WHL won't seem like the Three Point Lane it used to be lmao. Come on you Blues!

I think we can argue the model of Real Madrid itself is the reason they haven't been successful in either Galactico era. Are we then to use that as a measure and say Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo etc were not great players? I agree about him being a striker, as alluded to in my previous post. Hazard and Willian's play (only to an extent with the latter), is crying out for a world class striker who can finish and move efficiently in the box.

Agree about Beckham and Scholes, but only to an extent with the latter. Scholes was definitely more influential in his early United years, his peak was more in the 99/00 era. But I wouldn't go as far as to say he was in decline for most of his career. His role adapted in United and he was still very important in the tactical approach to the game, gave that United team a good sense of balance. Especially how when they went so long without a recognised CM. You can't deny that even top coaches and players in that time gave him enormous amounts of respect. England does misjudge mismanage a lot of players and it's unfortunate that Ferguson convinced Scholes to retire at 29, I think they could've done with him in 2006.

I don't actually think Eden's off to Real next summer. When have Chelsea ever sold a player in the last decade that was one of their main XI? Past players have only been sold because they weren't in the picture in the first place and the money was right; Robben, Mata, KdB etc. It would mark a dark day when our hand it forced, a predicament we haven't faced before. United kept hold of Rooney by throwing more money at him, the reason Ashley Cole, Nasri etc didn't stay at Arsenal.

Lowkey, Vardy is actually a good player. What's unfortunate with him is he's now 28 and he may have missed his opportunity to really go any further. This goal run he's on is incredible and deserves respect but I don't see him progressing any further. He'll do well to stay at Leicester and maybe make one more move to a more consistent PL club in the future. Vardy shows what confidence can do to a player, he's on the form of his life and it would be great if he continues to keep going.
