  1. Absolutely. Unlike Lampard under AVB, Terry's shown no signs of anger, frustration or anything. At the captain and leader at the club that makes a massive difference and even helps keep a lot of the younger players in check. I'm sure he wishes he still had Cech, Lampard and Drogba with him to spearhead the club's revival but now he's got the task of developing the next Chelsea core.
  2. I see that point of view and I think it's one shared in a common consensus around here. However I offer you another theory on why Sterling would've been a success. We saw Pedro's first impact when he played his very first game with us. He was composed, direct and even managed to offer a substantial goal threat. Now Pedro is slightly on the off, maybe he's not adapting to London and the PL as quickly as we hoped. Bare in mind, he's been playing in the same system at Barcelona since he was a kid.. Time is a must. Sterling, however, didn't need any of this settling in period. He's from London, he's been amongst the big boys in the PL and internationally. We can safely assume he's one of the first names on Roy's team sheet for France '16. He's also a massive threat creatively, something that's costing us a lot this season we can all agree. With Costa spending most of his season suspended or injured and Hazard not firing, it didn't leave us with any genuine creative threats. Enter Sterling. I believe this kid could carry the whole world on his shoulders and still be not be phased on the pitch. That's exactly what we need don't we? We need players to rise above this pessimist feeling around Stamford Bridge and even Cobham. I truly believe, and I hope I'm proven right, Sterling is a world-class player in the making.
  3. Lol, come on. I don't understand what people want here, do you want victory or do you want youth integration or do you want both? It's well known RLC is going to get a run of games, he had good first half and we went on to win the game. Matic came in, saw the game out and Loftus-Cheek can be very happy in his role with us winning. Just be happy that we're back on a winning road and we did it by managing to play Baba and Loftus-Cheek.
  4. You know, when he scored that beauty in the Champions League vs Juventus I thought he was the real deal. A classic Brazilian number 10 with enormous ability, agility and skill, but you've hit the nail on the headed with the bold part. I don't know if he suffers from a lack of interest, concentration or he's just not that intelligent on a football sense but something is not right when you watch Oscar. When he simply coasts through a game or lets it go by him (a la Fabregas) he's a useless part. I often mock Ozil for Arsenal because, while on talent he may be one of the best no10s in the world, he does the infamous disappearing act for Arsenal far too much! Their fans will defend him to the core, they have no choice when he came at £40m, but even they know in their hearts that Ozil's lack of consistency hurts them a lot. Mourinho sees this, you would think. The amount of time Oscar has spent on the bench in the last two seasons is staggering. He was often subbed on or off but seldom played a full 90minutes. Slyly, JM must regret selling Mata and dubbing Oscar his number 10. I defended that decision a lot when it happened and I'm sad that its simply not clicking for Oscar but he's got resale value and this isn't the time for sentiments.
  5. The kid just needs a run of games, he's not a raw academy player. He's come up against, and held his own, giants like Bayern and Dortmund.. Consistency is key, I hope Mourinho won't judge him based on today. I hope our fans will appreciate that nerves may have played their part but that's not reason to demote him back to what he was before. Give him a run of games and then judge him.
  6. Today just proves how high Sterling's ceiling is for ability, his progress at City has been no surprise to anyone who's followed Sterling's development. It's the biggest tragedy he isn't at Chelsea, would've been so influential and our attacking three of Hazard, Costa & Sterling could have seen a much better start to this season than not. Hindsight, thou are a cold hearted bitch.
  7. Hahaha how could I forget?! Oh Sven, so misunderstood he was - Brings me onto another thing, the FA are weird when they select England managers. We had the greatest English manager who never managed England (Clough), then we rejected the only English manager who's actually more suited to England get passed up (Redknapp) & then we pissed off Capello who's actually one of the most successful coaches of this era over John Terry?! /rant
  8. Really? That's wicked, coaching?
  9. As expected. Lmao, this is one of the factors hindering English football that no-one likes to talk about.. While St George's ground is meant to be the hub of the future of England, how about the corrupt-to-the-bone FA who seem more interested in procured World Cup watches than their own game.
  10. Urgh, another typical Chelsea loan deal.. Just like the many fallen soldiers behind him who had a good initial loan then got send out to the wilderness. Won't be long before we see him try a deal abroad, maybe Naples again, and then disappear into the loan abyss that is Chelsea FC.
  11. Can't be any worse than Bane and this is the type of exposure they need, tough environments.
  12. There was a third choice, sign on with Chelsea lol.
  13. Exactly. I remember there were those on here who blamed Ancelotti for lack of time on the pitch, but Cole never earned his stripes when he returned from injury.
  14. yeah see that doesnt convince me at all lol. he's openly saying why he won't play Aina as opposed to why he will..
  15. Could've been one of the greats. Blame him though, decided he could prosper at Liverpool rather than with us. All downhill after that..
  16. Good on Pulis to be the only other manager to speak out! FA must make fortunes in fines and no-one seems to know where it goes
  17. Absolutely agree with Mourinho's rage at the FA. No consistency in their decision making process at all, I suppose they're going be agreeing with UEFA's decision to back Platini too
  18. Really good for him that Steve Holland is also in the England set up!
  19. Stadium ban hey? José really hit a nerve this time huh?
  20. I know, but that why I'm hoping he will change all of that in the long run. Top 4 this season, no matter what. Then lets see what he does, if he's given his transfers.
  21. I still think Mourinho can turn this around and start changing. It's not too late for this season to turn around, there's only been 8 games. He needs to use this international break well and get the team back. He's capable of it.
