You couldn't even imagine.. Went through all the cycles.. Hearing stories how "deal is imminent" to "work permit being organised" to "Real Madrid close to signing" ect.

Good to see him in a bit of action. No surprises to see him with Bosingwa..

I'm of an Indian background. I was supposed to be Hindu. I have chosen to be Atheist though, and I have been for the last 5-7 years. Never looked back! Good to hear mate. The problem with people who are of a traditional view is they don't want to understand the new culture and at the same time, the new cultures fail to respect the traditions of Britain. Since there's never been a real effort to get both to communicate, these groups have risen up. Riots didn't help this either..

Okay, thanks for explaining. I agree, that immigration is an issue that's affecting Britain. Studying economics, I know on a macro level that is an issue. Especially with cheap labour and big firms even outsourcing now. And I can understand your personal views. It's clear (not trying to be disrespectful) that you are of a traditional background. I know you said it's not about race, and I do believe you, but I'm sure you feel outnumbered because you see a lot of non-white faces in areas like Manchester and Stockport. But I think this is a new generation of Britain, and we are still British, just not white. And yes the culture of Asian and African countries have developed here, but I like it. I'm someone who embraces new cultures. I don't like to see nations that are so centralised in one culture. Because I think this separates people and that's why you have the rise of groups like BNP and EDL. Because they don't understand that other cultures are not good, they see them in too much of a negative view.

Okay I may have spoken out of tongue. Although for me, and this may sound cold, blunt and perhaps sadistic, if she's going to protest anti-Islamic views then she should be aware of the consequences. My sympathy to her is no different if she was male. I'd be sad about violence, but not for the person.
-
Agreed. But they're following those lines. Some of thing thing I've heard from EDL/BNP supporters would sicken you to your core. Thankfully, in this country, they're a very small minority.
-
Nah, I'm actually interested in what you feel. Don't worry, this won't get heated or anything.. I'm just curious.
-
Did you watch that video properly? I have no problem that they tackled him down, that's fine. But the continued punches while he was lying on the ground? Did you miss that? (btw, this isn't personal, you're an intelligent poster so let's keep this clean? )
-
So, you would be happy for the police to act so brutal to that poor guy and for everyone to stand around and do nothing? Where's the logic there? Those police officers over stepped the mark completely, the only thing they understood was violence. There's a difference between defending someone and acting like a hooligan. I'm sure you can differentiate which party played which role in that situation.
-
That's not what I said. Read it back to yourself. I'm disappointed there was violence. However, what were the EDL expecting? I take it you've read their views. As soon as they stopped outside a mosque did you think Muslims would think "oh look, EDL. They hate us and want to see us deported.. Let's wave and smile like obedient people" Of course they were going to react in such a manner. The fact of the matter is, EDL is very racist and none of their views are justified in any manner. Their hate campaign of Muslims is sickening and exactly the type of stuff Britain does not need. Anyone who endorses or vouches for EDL is as bad as a neo-Nazi.
-
The comments on that video are sickening. First off all, the driver should not have been there. The EDL strike up negative feelings of hostility as it is, and she's become a victim of this minority who are clearly setting a wrong example of how to deal with ignorance. Not that I feel much sorry for her, she is a supporter of the EDL. Just a shame now it's the Muslims who are solely persecuted again

Repetitive isn't it? We can only hope he's sold soon so we can forget the Kalou threads.. (Idealistic world, much?)
-
One day, we won't have to use a to say that
-
You still haven't explained what's good about them.
-
Ya reckon Bruma still has a future with us?
-
I'd agree. However, that leaves Malouda to waste space/potential on the left wing. In that case, I'd rather have Mata there and watch Lampard at least try.
-
Ah okay. Yeah that's true, I was thinking long-term maybe something in HR. That's a really big market at the moment. Some firms' starting salaries are more than a lawyer's starting! Unbelievable, but I'm sure between now and then I'll have changed my aim. But BM is something I'm quite interested in. Right now thinking just BA, but hopefully I'll find a firm to sponsor me in getting a MSc. Though that's more idealistic thinking than anything
-
Agreed with all of this. We can only hope Sturridge will meet the hype around him, though I fear we've come to over-expect from him. Which could be worry in terms of fan backlash here.
-
Oh don't worry. When Gerrard comes back it'll be "Gerrard performs better for England alongside Wilshere"
-
Ah wicked, what field have you gone into now, for work? And I can relate to fucking about. I've made quite a few mistakes in the last few years on a personal level in school. Wasted a lot of time, taken things lightly and tried to wing it. A reality check came to me last year and now I'm back on track.. Hopefully next year will prove that.
-
Agreed. If the tempo does pick up, in the next few games, we will see optimism return.

I'm with those who are saying Terry's still got some years ahead of him. Maybe it's because I've got blue-tinted glasses on, or something, but I just don't think Terry's slowing down by any means. He's consistently been making vital tackles, organised our defensive line and defended to the death. He might have slowed in terms of his pace, but that's never been a strong point of his anyway and he's actually adapted to that. He's still a great threat from the air, and doesn't get out-muscled by strikers. Now I hate to over-exaggerate our youth talent. But because of the 2-3 years I feel Terry can still give us, I reckon Nathan Chalobah (who'd be around 19/20 by then) would be an idea replacement. Of course we'd buy someone else too, to keep up the competition, but Chalobah will certainly be a candidate. Gary Cahill's time is now and that's why, maybe, it wouldn't be right for us to target him. Like David said, Spurs can offer him a first team role. With King still always injured, Dawson being prone & Gallas/Kaboul being average at best, he's almost guaranteed to play 20+ games over a season.

I hear Meireles is an avid follower of the "pass-and-move" play. Miracles do happen.
