  1. I understand your argument. However you assume that what we see on the face, is true behind closed doors. Maybe negotiations and bids are being taken place and lodged. We know of a few targets we're openly chasing because clubs have chosen to reveal them, however there may be a few more we're completely unaware of. I get your point about time to gel and play together asap. However patience is key.
  2. Hahaha, they're finally over the Robinho saga
  3. Here's an article by Juni about it http://thechels.net/2011/07/hutchinson-returns-but-for-how-long/
  4. It's hardly a great argument. Liverpool have done awful in the window with their finances! Villas-Boas is smart. He's said they are scanning the market all the time looking for the right players at the right time. He's not going to make any panic/rush buys.
  5. It's interesting to hear his agent's comments.. Perhaps it means City aren't as close as we think?
  6. I'd be very surprised if it's anything to do with Aguero.
  7. Am I right in saying this is the first time our website has confirmed a medical is being undergone instead of waiting till after the world knows?
  8. They should have a still image of the kung-fu kick Varney received on Saturday to go with it
  9. I thought that's the reason we're not signing a right back!
  10. I like it.. Only criticisms I can think is the "next match" and "previous match" looked too.. Cramped? If that makes sense? Maybe it's just me
  11. Disagree with you. Don't think he's exerting that much pressure on Sturridge that isn't placed on anyone else. He's made it clear we're looking in the market at players who become available, so in a sense, everyone's place is under threat. No doubt the likes of Anelka, Malouda & Kalou will also be closely watched. But they will be watched to figure if they're leaving for good or not. Villas-Boas praised Sturridge's future on the other hand. He realised the kid's potential and implied he's a very much part of his long-term plans. I think it's great encouragement for Sturridge.
  12. If that's true, then he'll be a very worthwhile signing!
  13. Aha, you must forgive me then. I haven't seen the full game. I thought this was a good review after reading several others.. Hopefully CTV will show a full replay tomorrow
  14. If Arsanal offer more money, obviously Anderlecht will accept their offer.. Then he'd be more likely to sign for them. Unless we do make an offer, that he's informed about, then he'd probably reject the Arsanal move.
  15. Ian Ayre questions Manchester City naming rights deal http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/934961/liverpool%27s-ian-ayre-questions-man-city-stadium-naming-rights-deal?cc=5739
  16. Pastore's linking well with Messi in the advanced role.
  17. Villas-Boas faces familiar problems http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/villasboas-faces-familiar-problems-2315035.html Good review of the game by The Independent.
  18. Hmm.. I can actually agree with that to some certain extent. Natural goal scorer though.. And definitely agree with that last part.
