In terms of the Indian independence movement.. Bhagat Singh > Gandhi. (no disrespect to Gandhi of course!)

LMAO "liverpool winning the league" . You legend.

No-one is acting like he's the 'new messi', there's nothing wrong in suggesting one youngster has more potential than another. That's all I'm suggesting. I'm not saying Piazon is going to get into the first team this season, I'm saying he's got a higher chance in the pecking order than Kakuta.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. But isn't Hulk a winger?

Gotta love a John Pilger article.

It's a shame, but with Marin, Hazard, Mata & Piazon ahead of him (all 4 quite young too) it would be harder for him to breakthrough now. It's for the best.
-
I'm not a fan personally, with the fee City would ask for, he wouldn't be worth that fee.
-
What a shame. Still has potential, but now he'll waste away on City's bench..
-
Wait. So apparently we've made no approach, but Napoli officials are in London to discuss it?! Isn't normal protocol that the club chasing the player should make the first move?
-
Well Juve signed Mauricio Isla this window, so it remains to be seen if Lichtsteiner will continue as their #1 right-back & anyway, everyone has their price. It's a shame Juve got Isla though, I would've liked us to go for him.
-
To "register" him doesn't really mean anything to be honest. It's just worded in a way to fill fans with false expectations that he'll now play in the first team
-
Ideally I'd want us to take the title race a little further than we did. However, with City & United still a threat I think we'll need work to do. The squad hasn't clicked in pre-season, the players are still getting to know each other's plays and such as well. As far as the Champions League goes, I agree with many regarding semi-finals. No team's gone onto retain it, while I'd love for us to be the first a semi would delight me. Then again, when we reach the semi's I'll change my mind and expect for us to win it from there Also I really want us to win the Carling Cup! We haven't done it for a while, and it feels like something we should just.. do?
-
I think they're being stupid though. I'm not judging their spending, I'm questioning in who they're spending on. They've reinforced their attacking considerably, but now they've got too many foreign spots They also don't look assured in their defensive capabilities too, Thiago Silva will go along way to correcting that.
-
Not doubt that City & Juventus will target him, who knows if we will for sure or not.
-
Indeed. Be it Heysl, Munich or Hillsborough, there are just some things that the football community together should recognize as football going too far. It's crazy how Liverpool & United fans actually show hate towards each other because of the choices of something as trivial as what football team they support. There's having banter with rival fans and then there's being complete moron.
-
I maintain this is a bad move for both club & player. For his own sake I hope our bids are denied, he still needs to keep developing. Wigan is a perfect destination for him to stay at, he needs at least 2 more years there.. We'll just make him rot in reserves & occasionally on the bench.

when football goes too far.

I don't think there's any point in that then. He's probably on a huge wage amount at City so we'd have to match that, then there's the mission of paying City a fee for which they'd show no mercy over.. Just cause they can. Because he's English too we're looking at something like £15million for him. If we're looking at "back-ups" to Ivanovic it should be someone cheaper like the current, rumoured, target Azpil-.

I was kind of disappointed with Richards in his turn out for Britain in the football.. Maybe I'm being slightly rash, but maybe there's a good reason why Capello & Hodgson & Mancini looked the other way at Richards?
-
Well, we have an incoming Brazilian soon if that helps..

Alright, alright. Before this gets out of hand.. Peace you're right about immature responses sometimes. But it's what you expect on internet forums because it's the devil's paradise on how accessible it is for people who are younger etc. The key is not to dignify such come-backs with a response because you get personal arguments. This will results in admins/mods being called out, bans being asked for and people end up unhappy. As for others hinting at favoritism towards certain members, I assure that's definitely not the case. Mods & Admins look at all cases of reported posts and such to hand out impartial warnings & bans when we see fit (something we hate doing!). But we don't always make it public because there's no point of that. What I'm trying to say is, just don't dignify immature responses with a reply because it'll lead to the derailment of posts & whatnot. And I urge people to use the 'report' button when someone is being out of line 'cause we will deal with it.

I'd still rather Obama re-elected than see Mitt Romney in power. Lesser of 2 evils and all..

It seems fitting, they did just lose a winger in Marin. De Bruyne should fill that gap, let's hope he'll get enough minutes!
