  1. There's no news of him leaving because he simply won't give up his ridiculous wage demands. That's why Inter won't be coming for him either. Maybe he actually believes he can score again or maybe he just loves the money, either way he's still our problem for another 2 years.
  2. We've had this debate so many times and it will continue to overshadow much of our success until we can begin to see the academy working. It's ridiculous how we've been unable to produce anyone since Abramovich upgraded facilities in the academy, embarrassing almost how Terry is was the last one to come through.. But hey, it's a problem with the kids.. right?
  3. All I can say is good luck to him The pressure is already on him, looking through this thread, with him apparently needing to prove he's not shit already. Or that the pressure is that he is good enough and thus needs to win us the league lol. Just hope he settles quick. He'll have enough support with Dave, Cesc & Torres.
  4. Yeah that's what's good about them two especially, they'll know they're not going to start every game but will still be important. Tiago brings a general in midfield too, like Matic, that we really missed. it's my Raul Meireles was so effective.
  5. it's one too many imo, something has to give between Ramires and Mikel. that being said, it would depend a lot on our formation next season.
  6. Did I really read a rumour that Barcelona would attach a "bite-clause"?
  7. It could also be Atletico Madrid. Barca wanted to let Cesc go anyway so there wasn't an issue. AtMadrid have to find replacements first both for Courtois and Costa (and Luis, if that's true). So they're probably not signing off until they've done their transfer business first, they've already let go of Villa.. I'm sure they don't want to see Diego Costa before they know what they're doing.
  8. Nah I doubt it. Sturridge is in the 'elite' of Liverpool players and now they've got CL football he won't look to move on. He's one of those guys who needs an arm around the shoulder and kept being told he's the man, Rogers will continuously offer that. City & United aren't looking for a striker, Arsenal aren't an upgrade either. Madrid & Barca aren't going to be looking yet either. As it stands, Liverpool is his ceiling for now.
  9. Why haven't you been replaced yet?
  10. Where did you hear that? Definitely calling b/s on that one
  11. indeed. he criticised him too after the end of the season, but there's no indication we're looking to sell. so you have to conclude if he's here for 2014-15 season then Mourinho believes he can unlock Oscar's potential.
  12. I don't like when people compare Lampard's situation with Giggs'. The difference is, and justfiably so, Lampard doesn't want to be a part-time player like Giggs has accepted. He believes he can still be more sporadic than that and that's why he doesn't want to stay for the sake of it. Giggs knew he'd play about 10 games, if even that, he was resigned to it and accepted it. Lampard obviously wants more than that and he deserves a chance to prove it elsewhere.
  13. Yeah I realised after lol, I saw Ray Wilkins mentioned it in that article and forgot this is Falcao's
  14. Well we better bloody do something. If Liverpool truly do want him, you would see why he'd push for it considering we're not trying that hard to implement him in our team..

  16. Certainly hope not or else United are going to be title favourites next season.
  17. yeah but Lampard and Cole are also there, so it's hardly conclusive.
  18. the same who wrote him off after the CL games lol
  19. that's why it used to be on here
  20. And the day that happens.. Football loses & we may as well make it non-contact
  21. I think essentially for some people (..me lol) a 4-3-3 suggests a wider formation than the christmas tree.. Involving wingers alongside the striker and instead of the 2 CMs they are the AMs. I don't see the hype about Kroos (albeit, I haven't watched him indepth) but he seems to be... Invisible?
  22. If the rumours are true, it really does make you think on where players are playing next year. I think most of us have/had subscribed to the whole Matic-Fabregas as double pivot, with Pogba coming that means either Fabregas moves into Oscar territory or Matic suddenly becomes expendable. Curious.. Maybe the return of the Christmas Tree? Azpilicueta --------Terry-Cahill----------------Luis Pogba - Matic - Fabregas Oscar ----------- Hazard Costa
  23. If ever there was a time to bring back the 'negative rep' button
