  1. People are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying biting in football is okay or anything of the sort. I'm just saying for people who say "in real life.. he'd be locked up" etc, it's a ridiculous point to make in defence of the consequences he faces. Other points about intention, recklessness or even the expectation for it not to occur in football are valid.. Applying it in a normal every day life situation saying he should be locked up in stupid imo
  2. Is the pink Real kit support for breast cancer? Or is it just random? Lol
  3. But it's still a shit argument to make lol, the rules in sports are in context of sports not in the context of ordinary situations in the street haha
  4. Better them than United [emoji16]
  5. Does anyone know what the delay is all about? I mean United managed to wrap up Shaw 2 days after England came home. We managed to conclude Fabregas before Spain even played..
  6. The whole 'in real life' hypothetical is silly. It's also illegal to slide tackle someone in real life .. By well hey that's legal in football lol. Let's keep the arguments in perspective?
  7. Don't know who I feel more sorry for, probably Lallana. Once Liverpool strengthen again, he'll be a squad player and £25m will simply be sitting on the bench.
  8. I know it's too late to say it, but that was my main incentive for us to break bank on Shaw.. So that we wouldn't have to 'splash' in 4 years. We're already splashing cash now imo, £21m on a 28yo is by no means a bargain.
  9. Mhmm, I've never been one to allow myself to be induced by "Goal sources". But I do enjoy their other content because they often do write some good editorials & features. If they didn't mess up their transfer "news" Goal could actually be a credible website.
  10. How is this punishment excessive? I don't understand.. It's his third offence for biting. Once is bad enough ffs, but three times?!
  11. I'm just saying.. He did score a hattrick on his Dortmund debut
  12. I don't really see any future captains in this squad. Be it due to us being spoilt by the leadership that messers Drogba, Terry & Lampard showed or the fact most these guys haven't really been around a long time to justify their claim.. It's just not glaringly obvious. I see people call for Ivanovic but he can be as ill-tempered as Ramires on his day and that kind of short fuse is poison. He's clashed with Cech a couple of time too. Azpilicueta is still a fairly young member of the squad in terms of maturity and he doesn't seem to have displayed anything to suggest leadership qualities. Being a fan favourite only gets you so far to be fair. I wish I could earmark someone but the list of names seems very short to be honest. Nat Chalobah anyone?
  13. This still feels damn weird On a separate issue.. Have we even officially sold Luiz yet?
  14. If he makes the impact we hope, alongside Matic, I believe we're going to win the 2014/15 EPL.
  15. Or maybe no buy-out clause? I mean am I naive or does the inclusion of one just 'allow' sale of a player, or even encourage it?
  16. At least it has quotes I guess..
  17. Multinationals care about human rights? Maybe they want to sponsor the subsequent inquiry
  18. There's this theory going around by an Arsenal fans actually which is relevant to your question, But then there's this.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10885520/Arsenal-could-miss-out-on-Cesc-Fabregas-payment-in-Chelsea-transfer-deal-with-Barcelona.html
  19. Signing Drogba back as a player will be a step backwards for the club imo and it sends the wrong message from the youngsters.. I.e. Lukaku.
  20. Roman probably wouldn't be the owner per se.. For example, if it's in his Son's name they could get away with it.
  21. He ****ing better! I've had enough of mediocre strikers now . I love how we had better strikers in 2003 pre-Roman than we did in 2013..
  22. There's no way we're going to offer £200k p/w. Bar Torres I don't think anyone's ever been offered that at the club and much like 'nando I don't think the club will make that mistake. Remember, we're supposedly the only ones in for him so really we hold the bargaining power with wages at the moment. I may understand £26m actually, Barcelona will know that us taking Cesc means they're eliminating us from going after Koke. After that it's between Man United & Barca, an easy race for the catalans.
  23. It is curious there's nothing on SkySports or BBC considering that the "most reputable" source in Spain is confirming this. I guess it takes longer for our media though because they have to be absolutely sure.. Still curious though. Until then I'm really not getting excited, especially because £26-27m sounds too good to be true.
