What about Isak? Absolute class striker.

SomethingSomething got a reaction from Strike in Welcome Mauricio Pochettino
I agree he is top talent, but he needs to make most of his play time. Obviously its not ideal for him, being out of position in wrecking team but he needs to step up. He needs to pick up mentaly and step up as one of the leaders in this team because we lack them. Its great opportunity for him.
I think he would be next Van Dijk in Pool side for example. He just needs to show he wants to be here, fight for team and do the best he can.

Caicedo looked the part, talented, quality, etc. But not for 120m. Never worth 120m. Not singe midfelder is unless we talk about Xavis, Lampards, Modric, Kante level. And NEITHER of those still ever cost that. Zidane, Bellingham were expensive but they score and save games on their own.
Caicedo is just like any other you mentioned, a part of the midfield, a cog. Quality one, but still not one to win/save you games.
We should simply walk away from these players who cost fortunes. Kepa, Fofana, Mudryk, Caicedo, Morata, etc etc etc all can be found elsewhere. Unless you can get Mbappe or Bellingham you dont overpay. Even Arsenal getting Rice isnt the answer, its not just us. Look at most expensive players in the world, most flopped.
There is maybe one player we can get that is worth 100m and thats Osimhen. And even then, if the scouts did their job, they would find alternative like Santiago Gimenez, Gyokeres or whoever they think will fit this team.
Hopefuly the board learned their lesson.

We are getting relegated. Disgraceful shite from board to manager to players. Entire club is rotten and I dont know how long will it take to get back.
Wonder what Roman is thinking right now.

Its crazy how questionable buys United is making for years now. Even more clueless board than ours.

Spending 1 billion, we could have a 100m world class player for almost every position and we look like a midtable team atm.
Im all for long term progress, but the money spent doesnt bring optimism we are prepared for long term development by the board. Unless Im mistaken we have the worst spending in history. Psg at least bought stars, attractive football. City dominated league, Real won number of CLs.
We spend more than any of those and just look at our starting 11 and the bench. Probs worth around 200m total in reality.
Either boehly and co have a master plan that no one sees or this is the worst football project in history that will make Chelsea next ac milan or worse. And I dont realy believe someone from usa who is in football for the first time has a master plan that none of actual football gurus sees.
If we miss another CL next year, that will be catastrophic for our club.

Midfielders nowdays are so expensive and they dont provide half of what midfielders used to. U have bunch of talented players who get good season and odd goal and then they crumble under pressure because they could never score goals on regular basis like Lamps, Gerrard etc.
IMO coaching system is now different. They dont allow midfielders to take a shot, but rather keep possesion until a clear chance occurs, hence strikers with half ability (Lukaku, Immobile,...) compared to older strikers (Drogba, Henry, Raul,...) actualy score more.
IMO only quality strikers that can be compared to older players were Suarez, Lewa and Benzema. In late 2000, 2005, you had a striker of that quality in almost every top team if not two (Del Piero, Trezeguet).
Haaland is amazing at scoring goals, but the dude has zero elegance or technique, a glorified Inzaghi.

Afcon is pain in the ass but we had best squad with Drogba, Essien etc. Liverpool had Salah and Mane and they were fantastic. Missing that month for having world class players is still worth it tenfold. Dunno if Kudus is that kind of player though.
Also some people here are ridiculous. Getting Felix back? Lol
Selling James is even more idiotic. If he wanted to fuck off ala Mount okay. But we should never turn our back for any type of cash if he wants to succeed here. Simple as that.

What I dont get is how can we spend 200m on two midfielders while saying Sanchez is good enough as starting GK. We dont have any goal scoring power either but options are limited there to buy.
Its just crazy how can we spend 800 or 900m and think Sanchez is good enough.

The line between us having great window with arguably best midfield in premier league or this;
"£60m for a player who looked decentish for a season in a team that got relegated to play as back up for a £115m player who looked above average for a season for a team who finished mid-table is fucking mental.
Lay me out a line of whatever they're snorting down in Chelse before the game on Saturday and I'll be out partying till sunrise the next day."
and
"So, Chelsea are about to drop another £90m this week. Still playing a 39 year old centre back, Brighton’s 3rd choice keeper.
Still no real goal threat.
It’s bizarre how bad their business is."
(from man city forums)
is thin thin thin. We will either look brilliant or complete trash for next 10 years.

SomethingSomething got a reaction from Hermione in 🇩🇪 Timo Werner
Fans talking shit about Timo is probably the stupidest thing I ever seen in football.
Is he a striker and cant score? Yes. Has awful first touch? Yes.
But for whatever reason, he adds energy, speed, runs in channels, unlocks space and this makes our attack click. Him, Chilly, James and Tuchels defensive system were the key reasons why we were successful last season.
Would have him on the team any time of the day ahead of the likes like Lukaku who just stand and jog around, doing fuck all and provide no energy at all.
Besides, finishing is a collective problem with all our forwards, not just Timo. We are inconsistent and when fullbacks provide more goals it says it all. Timo, Havertz, Mount, Puli are all at fault we cant put the ball behind the net. Having inform striker in Lukaku, or Lewandowski for that matter wouldnt solve problems. Bayern still has Muller, Sane and Gnabry who provide proper threat and score when given the chance.
