I fully expected Utd to drop some points over the two games but I definitely didn't expect them to drop all six. Just one fecking draw would have been decent for us.

Of course we're thrilled about being in Cup Finals. I'm.just saying that despite this a lot of our players have under performed. Sure, some good games as well, but we'll need to significant improvement next season to challenge for the title. Liverpool should have their defenders back by then and be far better then this season. City had a great streak of results but in between they've been average by their standards. Going to be very difficult to challenge them if they get back to their best. I've said all along, I don't think a lot of this current squad are title winning level players. TT might be able to get a couple to raise their level, as he's done with Rudi, but not as many as we'll need. I see us fighting for 4th again.

Yes. Also, fans keep asking why we take so fee shots from outside the box. Apart from not having many players who can shoot well, our build up play is too slow and ad you said, the box I'd often crammed with players. Very hard to score when there's not much room to shoot thru or past, so we tend to make yet another pass.

See us as third favs for top four now and most likely between us and Leicester for the other place. They can sit back, play for a draw but hit us hard on the break. One goal against us in either game and we're probably done for. Still, no excuses if we fail. With a way below par Liverpool, bang average Utd, Spurs being Spurs and Arsenal crapper than ever, we should have strolled to top four. TT tightened up the defence but has sadly been unable to make even the slightest bit of improvement to the dull midfield or our joke attack and only a bit of improvement would have been needed. Regardless of what happens, we need significant improvements from most of the current set of players. Puli, CHO, Werner, Kai, James, Kova, Chilwell, Jorgi, Ziyech, Alonso, should all be playing for a future at Chelsea next season.

This week has been as enjoyable as a wet weekend in Rotherham. Fuck Manure, you useless bag of shire.

Going for a shower. Fcuk this shit for a game of soldiers.

Come on Utd! The bestist team in the whole, wide world. Until 10 o'clock tonight that is.
-
But its not just simply about finding someone who's comfortable on the ball. Are they big enough, strong enough and quick enough too? Zouma is all three of those. He's also a goal threat at set pieces for us too. Also, although he never looks good on the ball his passing isn't quite as bad as you make it out to be. Overall, I'd say he's about as good as most of the 4th choice CB's at the top 6 clubs.
-
Re rewarding failure. Would you take no CL but winning the FA Cup, over finishing 4th? This season I would take 4th all day long! However, if we went say 5 or 6 years without a trophy, then I would definitely take either domestic Cup over finishing 4th.
-
No, I certainly don't want us to become another Arsenal! If we win the CL, I couldn't give a rats ass where we finish in the league. But, seeing that the final comes after the league has finishef, we cant afford to go into that game against a full strength City, knowing we have to win it to get CL football. After Leicester beating Utd, we should have gone all out to get top four by playing our strongest possible team and play the weakened side in the FA Cup Final. We now find ourselves likely having to play our strongest sides against both Leicester and Villa, while City have the luxuary of being able to rest players. TT cocked up bigtime last night, but at least he's admitted he made a mistake with selection.
-
We're not going to find a classy 4th choice CB who's willing to be the 4th choice. Kurt seems happy with his lot at Chelsea and for all his limitations, he's a pretty decent 4th choice CB, so I don't see the point in looking for a replacement. Tomori has more potential tho, so we'll have to see if we bring him back in the summer.
-
I got stick for saying it last time, but I'd rather no Euro football than be in EL. If we do end up in it then I'd play our weakest teams possible.
-
We've been moaning about our piss poor midfield for three years now. Its not going to get any better with Kova, Jorgi and Kante so we need to break it up and sell two of them. I'd like to see Kova and Jorgi sold in the summer. Neither gives anything to the team much further past the centre circle. Might get 60 million for the two, which is enough to buy a class player who can actually do something in the final third of the pitch. Had more than enough of Kova's mazy little dribbles around the middle of the pitch which result in the sum total of nothing.
-
There was one moment near the end when CHO had 3 or defenders tightly packed in front of him inside a packed penalty area and he ran straight at them and lost the ball. Just completely braindead football.
-
Fair points. But can we attract the level of player we need to challenge for the title without CL next season?
-
Yes, its horrible sqweeky bum time now. But I'll take that, knowing we've got really big things to play for, over being able to sit back and chillout like the Gooners do this time every year.
-
Its all about CL next season. Get that and everybody should be satisfied with the season. Any trophy on top of that would of course make for a great season. No CL and things will be very different for a manager on a short contract.
-
Gilmour was one of the few who was having a half decent game too. An absolute horror show by TT tonight!
-
Whatever happens here on in, a number of this team should be playing for thier future at the club next sesson. Too many have been very average or even regressed. You see players like CHO play like that tonight and its easy to start giving up hope on them making it here. He looked like a fecking division one player.
-
The FA Cup pails next to the importance of the league game now!
-
After that load of cack, if we blow top four as well, then his job might very well be on the line. He took Arsendl too lightly and put more importance on the Cup than a CL place. Just inexcusable from such an experienced manager! Remember, he's only on an 18 month contract as well, so things are now very dodgy for him.
-
No surprise to me at all! Said they'd be up for it along with us having numerous terrible performances against teams we should be beating. Not a single player out there tonight gave more than a 5 out of 10 performance.
-
Yes, there was plenty of desperate shite under Frank and I've never said otherwise. Only questioned if he was given long enough, that's all.
-
Wtf! Their keeper hasn't made a save since the 25th minute. We're at home to a midtable team with little to play for and we're in a fight for CL. This is the level of desperate, clueless shite that got Lampard sacked.
