  1. Agreed, only easy on paper, especially this heavily congested season. But, Liverpool are hitting form at the right time winning 4 out of 6 and only dropping points to late goals to draw 2 games. Leicester win has made it signicantly more difficult for us now, and of course, Liverpool too. Got to forget about Saturday and. select the strongest side available tonight, as no doubt Arsenal will be up for this game.
  2. And who was it who eulogized former KKK recruiter Robert Byrd. Was it Trump or Biden? Who was it who said "you aint Black if you font for me" Trump or Biden. Honestly can't remember a more openly racist insult from a Presidential candidate. Despite the relentless, unprecedented attacks by almost thr entire media, Trump significantly increased the Black and Hispanic vote for the Republicans. Trump is a crude cnut, but its not his side that is causing mayhem and tearing the country apart. Only yesterday I saw a video which so reminded me of the Michael Douglas film Falling Down. Am otidnary man being pushed to his limits by an OBLM mob blocking a junction stopping people going about their business. Harrased and abused while the Police stood by doing nothing. Sooner or later people are going to say enough is enough. The only solution is to break up the country. Give the American hating Left their own Country and let them get on with it.
  3. We need more than 3 points for that. Liverpool can still end with 69 points. To be sure of top four we need 6 more points, tho 5 might be enough with our GD over Liverpool. Liverpool have 3 easy games after Utd, so if they beat Utd they'll have a great chance of reaching 69 points. A draw will be a bad result tonight and put us under real pressure.
  4. Americans should keep out of other peoples troubles and spend more time sorting out their own country from being torn apart and descending into its own civil war. It cannot keep going down the road its going without it eventually exploding. Every day I'm seeing and reading stuff which is simply getting more and more badshit crazy.
  5. After the Leicester win, if I had to choose i'd rather take a win against Arsenal than win the Cup on Saturday. CL football is simply a bigger prize these days, so all guns blazing tmrw.
  6. I didn't say we hired Frank because was a young, inexperienced manager. Anyway, I made it clear with how I think now with my last sentence of a post a few days ago when I ended with saying Frank is history now, so onward and upwards with TT.
  7. Utd obviously had to field a weakened side and save something for the Liverpool game, but that line up was basically throwing the game. The Liverpool players will be furious and pumped up to the eyeballs on Thursday. Slaming some money on them to win it.
  8. Apologies for not putting my point over well enough. I was thinking about the hiring of any young, inexperienced manager at a top club, not just Frank at Chelsea. If a club is going hire such a manager, then, as I said before, they have to give that manager time to learn from their mistakes and failures and see if they can turn things around. If not, then no top club should ever hire young managers.
  9. True, but RA knew he was hiring a very inexperienced manager with a lot to learn. You should either accept a young manager will have tough times and stick by them, or not hire one in the first place. Yes, I fully accept that Frank might well have not turned things around, but I still think he should have been given until the end of this season. Anyway, that's all history now, so onwards and hopefully upwards with TT.
  10. Its a tiny, tiny percentage from the 35 million + vaccinations in the UK. Futhermore, those who do contract it again will have milder symptoms than their first bout of it. I don't even want to think about what kind of state the world would be heading towards without these vaccines. Those incredible people who worked round the clock to develop the vaccines can't be praised enough. They literally saved our world as we know it!
  11. Only my option, but I think he's guilty of ball watching and thinking about where he's going to move to and not thinking enough about where he is at that particular moment. Having said that, a number of the of the offsides have been very close calls and ones he'd probably have got away with before VAR. Vardy has always stuck me as a player with a smart football brain, yet I notice that he is also getting caught a lot.
  12. The sacking of. Frank has proved once and for all there will never be a "project" under RA. Like every manager before him, TT will have to consistently win trophies, or be sacked. If TT wins the CL it will put enormous pressure on him to win the league or retain the CL next season. Anything less and hell be judged the same way Carlo was after his second season. Should give managers more time but we don't and won't, so we just have to get on with it.
  13. Yes, his pace and movement is now consistently getting him into good, dangerous positions. Ian Wright unfairly said he was lazy for repeatedly being caught offside. I think its more a case of a lack of concentration because we know Timo is anything but lazy. These offsides must be driving TT nuts and i'm sure this is an area they'll work hard on next pre season. Timo will never have the first touch of the worlds elite strikers, but he has enough qualities needed to provide us with a good amount of goals and assists.
  14. People were giving Wham a chance because of their easier fixtures. They are effectively 7 points behind us now, so its safe to say they wont catch us. Leicester are better away so it wouldn't surprise me if they get a draw or even a win at Utd. However, if they lose and we beat the Arse, then we'll only need a point against them for top four. Would be a big help to go into the Villa game being able to rest a lot of players.
  15. With respect Nikki, it shouldn't be a question of it being worth people of your age having it to protect you. You're very highly unlikely to fall seriously ill if you do catch it, let alone die from it. BUT, what about catching it and passing it onto someone in the vunerable groups who might well die from it? If the younger generations don't take up the offer of the vaccine, then that will mean the levels of infection will be higher than they could otherwise be and that inevitably means more deaths. I know we live in a Liberal society and i'm very thankful for that. But there comes a time when a government should use its powers and order people to do something for the greater good of all it's people.
  16. Arsenal might not have much to play for but teams always like try and do some damage to their rivals, so they do still have that to motivate them. Also, as bang average as they are most days, they can still be a dangerous side on their day, so we'll need to be concentrated and up for it. Got 3 days rest now, which is very important!
  17. We need to accept the vaccine is protection against the virus, not a cure for it. As the scientists have repeatedly said, we're going to have to get use to living with it like we do with the Flu. There are years when we lose 20,000 + to Flu and nobody bats an eyelid. In time, we'll grow to accept the very sad. loses to the virus as well. Overall, its been an incredible, unprecedented effort to develop the vaccines and get them rolled out so quickly.
  18. Must admit that I've not been that impressed with James for much of this season, but that second half was as good as I've ever seen from him! Had Mendy on toast!
  19. Yes, absolutely massive 3 points today! With our GD we need a max 6 points now.
  20. Looking to the future. Even without new players there's still lots of room for improvement with Chelsea, but this City team isn't getting any better than they already are.
  21. There's no middle ground with Alonso! He's always been brilliantly shit.
  22. We should all know by now that Alonso running at full speed looks like a player jogging.
  23. I expected us to lose this game. I just hope we don't go and ruin our goal difference which is so close to Leicester's and Liverpool's. To be honest tho, this performance miles below what we saw against RM and once again, we look half the side without Mount.
  24. Sorry to say, Gilmour is simply not ready to be playing in games like this. He's offering nothing to the team.
  25. Does Werner know there is actually an offside rule in football?
