Just to reiterate. When I initially said that in general this season the service hasn't been great for our forwards I wasn't making an excuse for Torres at all (I'd be the one of the last people to do that lol). Like I said before, I was talking about all of our strikers in general. Granted, they obviously aren't as good as the elite strikers with their movement and finishing - they all still have decent enough movement to allow that creation of chances - just like today when Torres got himself in decent positions the service was there but he obviously had a mare. We haven't seen that consistently enough from the three behind whoever's upfront this season - creatively we were awesome against Sunderland. We do that on a regular basis and our strikers will score a lot more as the season progresses because the service is there and they all are decent strikers; however it'd obviously be more awesome if we had an elite striker doing the business for us when those behind him are producing creatively like they did against Sunderland.

Start Ba and Mikel, bring on Lampard later as we need him to stay fresh.

My apologies Phil, thought it was you that voted for Lampard. But; don't think I was a Lampard derider for one bit - yes you can put me in the pro-Mikel camp but that doesn't mean I'm in the anti-Lampard camp.

I agree pal, I thought Lampard had an outstanding game, was definitely our second best player, but Hazard was just out of this world.

I know they didn't have phenomenal games but the fluidity behind Torres was great to see, and that was due to Mata, Willian, Hazard, Lampard and Ramires all keeping the ball very well. I felt Mata especially conducted our play very well in general and organised our attack well too. To say they had horrible games is just wrong to me. They all had very decent games and provided the platform for us to score four goals today.

Lol. Phil if you've read my other posts you'll realise that I said that Lampard was superb today. If Hazard wasn't out of this world he would've deserved MOTM easily - but it's just funny how you've given it to Lamps instead of Hazard as you'd definitely be one of the people to do so.

If Lampard performs like this on a regular basis then I agree, Lampard - Ramires is our best pairing. What he did so well today was how disciplined he was in his role - but also picked out the right times to go forward - and his passing today was sublime. Great performance from Frank, and exactly what we want from our DLP.

No excuses today, service was fantastic from everyone behind him. There was that one incident when Frank got it over with an exquisite ball and he just crumbled - and that unbelievable sitter. His general play wasn't bad but his finishing was an absolute joke. The Torres conundrum continues.

Would be Phil who would give MOTM to Lamps right... I'll admit he's quite funny.
