  1. It's a match made in heaven. Luis overlapping Hazard from the left, Hazard plays it through to him, and he has two fantastic off the ball movers in Schurrle and Costa to pick out. Think he's going to have at least 5 assists this season.
  2. Would be a very unnecessary signing. At £30m too? Please.
  3. Liverpool won't be in the title race this year though. Surely if it was based on that City would get the most games?
  4. If he doesn't we sell him, no biggie!
  5. We'd have to sell at least 2 foreign players to get him into the squad, not worth it at all.
  6. The Hazard, Oscar, Costa and Fabregas quadrant should be very interesting this season. With support from Matic and Filipe Luis and the likes of Schurrle and Willian I can finally see us looking a lot more effective going forward. It's a massive upgrade.
  7. Fine, 4th winger then. Is that okay for you? Like I said before, it doesn't cost us anything to keep Victor around, he's HG, so I really don't know why you're stressing.
  8. Hmm, I don't know. I mean don't forget these guys are training every day whilst they're at the WC too, so obviously that counts for something. However, Wenger has mocked the system. You're right in saying that someone like Podolski shouldn't really have a longer rest than let's say Alexis, who had a lot of minutes for Chile, compared to Podolski who had like 45 minutes in total. It's embarrassing.
  9. Lol, I very much remember this one. Schurrle was the new Kalou and now he's like a god on here. I love Schurrle but that was very funny.
  10. Praying everyday in hope we sell Torres and sign a quality 2nd choice striker before the window closes.
  11. I'm fine with him screaming at Bruno Alves tbh, it ensures Bruno won't do such nonsense if he faces Diego again. Love this drug cartel lord already.
  12. I'm not advocating that I'd rather prefer Saddam's Iraq, not at all. I despise a lot of the things he's done to the Iraqis. Do I honestly believe that when comparing the situation then with the situation now that the Iraqis weren't as worse off as they are now? Yes, I do. That doesn't mean I'm saying I'd prefer Iraqi under Saddam compared to the current situation. I'm merely comparing them and giving my opinion on which one is worse - ideally we'd obviously avoid both situations though. I don't like what Saddam did whatsoever but what's going on right now with ISIS is even worse IMO and I'm just hoping it doesn't escalate. Different topic entirely, but I can see the parallels you're trying to bring out; however I'd say yes, it was necessary because it would've definitely crept up again and again. A lot of people suffered, but IMO it's good to see that their suffering didn't go in vain. Black enfranchisement was a massive thing back then, and if it was allowed to go on it would've even created an uglier scene IMO.
  13. For me it's not about leaving militia there tbh, they left plenty of militia there obviously, I'm talking about the political outlook of Iraq. USA tried to introduce democracy into the Iraqi political system but they obviously failed in that respect. They didn't usher it in correctly. But the way they're reacting to the situation right now, sending in tactical bombs, is probably the best way to deal with it yes, I agree with that.
  14. My exact thoughts. It's embarrassing. Even the German Bayern players are back in training, never mind our own Andre.
  15. Even if the goal scoring dries up a bit, he still does A LOT for the team. I remember him going through quite a lengthy goal drought last season for Atletico, he was still giving it his all for his team and his link up play was still excellent, and that isn't too bad IMO. Every striker goes through a drought, I won't mind as long as he bangs in enough goals for us this season.
  16. Seems like we still need to work a lot on our 4-3-3 formation (which a lot on here love). We were really good with our 4-2-3-1 in the first game, and we really dictated the pace of the game and looked very comfortable, creating at will with Cesc dictating from deep, Costa linking up excellently with Oscar, Schurrle and Hazard. Just add Filipe Luis' attacking intent to the first half performance and formations we set out and we'll do very well this year. Really excited, can't wait to attend SB a couple of times this season.
  17. Dear me Petr, you can't be doing that with Courtois hot on your heels...
  18. Filipe Luis is going to be such a problem with Hazard, can't wait.
  19. Tbh I don't mind it. I like it when one fullback is more reserved whilst the other is more attacking. It leaves 3 players at the back, which is more solid. Azpi is ok going forward though, but hopefully he does pick up 1 or 2 things from Filipe Luis.
  20. Look how far up the pitch Luis is getting. You would never see Azpi that far up so regularly.
  21. God, nearly forgot how bad Ramires' touch can be...
  22. See how that simple overlap from Luis created a little bit more space for Hazard to turn? Just waiting for Eden to reach full fitness... He's going to be an absolute joy to watch this season.
  23. Fabregas just adds so much control to our game, loving it.
