  1. Fabregas as the most advanced in the 3 I guess, Filipe Luis on. Looking forward to him linking up with Eden.
  2. Diego Costa's decision making has been top notch this pre season. Seems to know when to pass and when to shoot.
  3. Tbh, Ramires is stupid with his challenges.
  4. Ivanovic, Terry and Costa. I dare anyone to try and pick a fight with us tbh.
  5. Haha, so glad Diego Costa is starting off well. Let's hope this translates into the season. I've said it before, he might have an unorthodox technique in his dribbling but he's a complete striker. Bring on Besiktas.
  6. And this is why people are bringing USA into it, because they really should've ensured that after invading Iraq and getting rid of Saddam that a better foundation for democracy was laid down. They failed hard in that aspect, and this is just the beginning of the consequences of that failure.
  7. And I never said such. Feel like I'm repeating myself a lot here, but me saying that the situation under Saddam was better doesn't mean I'm saying that Iraq should go back to being a dictatorship. I'm merely comparing two different times and stating which era wasn't the worst in Iraq. Of course dictatorship is never the answer, Iraq must strive for democracy. Whether that's achievable or not is another discussion.
  8. You're not understanding it at all... I'm not condoning anything Saddam has done. What I'm saying is that the general standard of living, whilst obviously not ideal, was a lot better in Iraq than it is now. That shouldn't be so difficult to understand. The circumstances under Saddam were bad, but the circumstances right now are far worse. Ergo, you can say that the circumstances under Saddam were better.
  9. He never said that he thought it was acceptable - what he was basically trying to get at is that the situation under Saddam is better than the situation right now, which is true IMO.
  10. Haha, Term was obviously trolling and fishing for a reaction like this... Why did you even bother
  11. As a 6th AM maybe? To play against minnow sides? He's HG so when it comes to squad space he won't really cost us anything. He can certainly be pretty useful for us.
  12. Way too early to start making comparisons like that.
  13. Yeah, and one must hope that now the team is a little more balanced that he can provide more in the final third. He's young but he still needs to do a lot, lot better.
  14. Willian's general technique, close control etc. is miles better than Victor's hence why I said his natural talent is far better than Moses'. I agree that he does need to be far more productive in the final third, but that doesn't mean he isn't a better footballer than Moses.
  15. I agree that democracy should be the aim to work towards but then again, it's unfair to label a whole country as brutes.I would never condone Saddam's actions at all, but what I do agree with is that the situation under Saddam is probably better than the situation right now, even if it is the lesser of two evils.
  16. To be honest though, our number 10 does have to be more incisive or 'brilliant' if you will in the final third. His work rate and defensive acumen are great traits but he does need to show more quality in the final third. I'm not happy with his productivity in the final third, and I'm pretty sure he knows he can do better. In the number 10 role you need to be productive in the final third. It's a necessity IMO.
  17. Thanks for the very detailed reply Mohammed. Very insightful. You're right though in saying that if you're not strong as a person in your faith, that it definitely is easy to get corrupted by them. If you don't know your Bible/Quran/Torah then yes, this is a real possibility. It still really, really surprised me though, especially in regards to the previously anti-jihadist one. Many Muslims at school and college looked up to him because he seemed very knowledgeable about the Quran and all the Hadith teachings. Many of those immediately went to his Facebook page after the news broke out and started blasting him, complaining how they all looked up to him and how he's betrayed them and stuff, it was quite sad to see. I still find it very odd right now.
  18. I like Moses but Willian has 10x more natural talent than Moses, even if Willian isn't really worth £30m, and I was also one of those that said he was a very unnecessary signing.
  19. Eto'o didn't even have a pre season though. At least Drogba is having one. We signed Eto'o in the last few days of August too whilst DD's been here since July. He's definitely in a better position than Samuel.
  20. Not having democracy in ones country doesn't suddenly make you a brute...
  21. Ah I see. Yeah, all the UEFA official does is pretty much report back to UEFA what has happened in a match report I would imagine. I can imagine that he probably didn't know the player was suspended before hand though, whilst Legia definitely would've known. Either way, I don't think UEFA really have that much of an obligation to go as far as reminding a professional club about the rules.
  22. Haha no, they're the governing body of European football, they set the general rules, regulate clubs with stuff like FFP, sanction and organise European competitions i.e. The CL or the Euros etc... The rules are clearly stated, and for a professional club like Legia it's embarrassing that they couldn't adhere to a simple rule like that. Even if it's only 3 mins, rules are rules.
