  1. We desperately will need fullbacks, a WORLD CLASS CB, at least 2 wingers (3 if CHO is gone) and unless our strikers (and it can ONLY come from Bats or Tammy long term as Giroud is too old) explode, deffo there as well. Unless Famia-Castillo is good to go (NO way to know this) we have to upgrade at LB, and Azpi, after this season, is done as a top class 4500 minute a season RB, so Reece better come good. Our CB's are a mess without Rudiger ATM, and even with him we need a true WC stopper. MF is fine as long as Mount and the rest keep developing, although I get the feeling we MAY be selling either Jorginho or Kante next summer (that is not at all for sure) Our wingers and strikers are also so so so going to need upgrades (90% plus sure of this) Most of the weak spots we do not have an instant youth plug in other than James (unless he unexpectedly goes to shit, which I cannot see at all) If all the question marks this year (and there are a tonne of question marks, unfortunately) do not pan out well, and if we then do not spend massively in summer 2020, we are going to be in deep shit, so, nope, not buying into the 'we will not spend big' thing at all.
  2. What Chelsea have failed to do as highly-rated Daishawn Redan quits Stamford Bridge CHELSEA have seen their promising youngster Daishawn Redan quit Stamford Bridge to join Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1155249/Chelsea-transfer-news-Daishawn-Redan-Hertha-Berlin Teams all across Europe and been scouting the 18-year-old, with several Premier League teams also showing interest, but it was Hertha BSC who secured Redan for a reported fee of £5million. However, according to reporter Marcel Barune, from German publication Bild, Chelsea did not include any buy-back clause in the deal. Redan is a highly rated player and the decision to not include a first-option buy-back clause could end up costing Chelsea millions if he goes on to reach his potential. snip ffs

  4. I have no idea why. He can play footie, he was superb at Monaco, and at times (not always) was a huge force at AC Milan. He puts on Blue and goes fucking all mental. SMDH
  5. He needs to go back to Ligue 1 (I doubt he wants to go back to Serie A due to the racial attacks he suffered there) Ship him to Nice (they now have billions backing them) or Lille, or Olympique Marseille or back to Monaco if PSG doesn't want him
  6. maybe 3 if Eddie Nketiah keeps scoring like he has been so far
  7. those are 5 massive players out for us, grrrrrrrrrr that is literally almost half of our top 12 players the others being Kepa Jorginho Azpi (with Reece being knocked up really hurts as we may need Azpi at CB (Reece can play there as well) much more this year IF we do sell Zouma, who is putting in a transfer request, so we will deffo need to keep Zappacosta) Barkley Pulisic Mount Kovacic with Luiz, Emerson, AC, Zappacosta, Pedro, Willian and the 3 strikers making up the balance of decent players (I refuse to put Alonso in there, lolol, even though he is probably not going to be sold)
  8. Di Canio set him up with some great crosses. I so hope we can get that level from our right side this year.
  9. BBC: Gareth Bale: Real Madrid forward 'very close' to exit - Zinedine Zidane. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49061557 Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is "very close to leaving" the Spanish club, says boss Zinedine Zidane. The Wales international, 30, was left out of Real's 3-1 pre-season defeat by Bayern Munich in Houston, USA. Speaking after the game, Zidane said: "We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team. "I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done." Bale, who has three years left on his Real contract, has won the Champions League four times since his £85m move to Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 - a world record deal at the time. He has been linked with Premier League sides Manchester United and Spurs, German champions Bayern and also a move to the Chinese Super League. Injury problems have limited the Welshman to 79 La Liga appearances in the past four seasons. He played 42 matches for Los Blancos last term, half of those as a substitute. Bale was booed by home supporters at times last season, though his agent said in March the player was "very happy" and wanted to "play all his career" at the Bernabeu club. snip ouch, lololol, you know you are fucked when the manager says that
  10. Zouma set to hand in transfer request to push through Everton move https://www.nsno.co.uk/everton-news/2019/07/zouma-set-to-hand-in-transfer-request-to-push-through-everton-move/ Reports today are suggesting that Kurt Zouma could be ready to push hard for a move to Everton this summer. The Daily Star report claims that The Mirror have got the scoop that Evertonians have been waiting for – that the Blues could be set to sign Zouma on a permanent deal. Zouma had a successful loan spell at Goodison Park last season and Marco Silva is keen to add him to the squad permanently. A transfer ban affecting Chelsea – and new manager Frank Lampard arriving – this summer was initially thought to have got in the way of the transfer, but Silva could be about to get his man if these reports are true. snip
  11. Donkeywater and Donkeyako should never see the pitch again in a Chels kit they are both rubbish (especially Bakayoko, DD I would not lose my mind over playing in pre-season to shop him around, and, dog forbid, we may need him due to injuries) We were loaded at MF but less so now due to Kante still (or again, even though it is the same injury) and RLC knocked up, grrrrr, plus Ampadu going out (rightly so) on loan to RB Leipzig, which is a SUPERB loan destination for him.) Gilmour is not ready yet for the 1st team, hopefully next year and surely the year after that.
  12. It isn't like they are reduced to chopped liver
  13. FUCK I thought he looked sad sitting in the stands the day of the game, I knew something was wrong as he never once was smiling, and he ALWAYS smiles Bad for Chelsea: N’Golo Kante leaves pre-season with a knee injury https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/bad-for-chelsea-ngolo-kante-leaves-pre-season-with-a-knee-injury/ N’Golo Kante knee injury confirmed Chelsea have confirmed the news early on Sunday morning. Arguably the club’s best player, midfield enforcer N’Golo Kante, has been forced to return to England. Kante has been sent back to Cobham for “rehabilitation for an injury connected to the knee problem he sustained at the end of last season.”
  14. David De Gea agrees six-year Manchester United contract worth £117m to become world's highest-paid goalkeeper https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/20/david-de-gea-agrees-six-year-manchester-united-contract-worth/ David De Gea will become the world’s highest paid goalkeeper after agreeing a new six-year contract with Manchester United worth around £117 million. But Romelu Lukaku remains determined to quit United and is hoping Inter Milan come back with an improved offer after the Italian club had an opening £54 million bid rejected. De Gea - who made his first appearance of pre-season in United’s 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Singapore on Saturday - will put pen to paper on the new deal, which is believed to be worth around £375,000 a week, once he returns to Manchester from the tour. Yet while the United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will be relieved about the clarity over De Gea’s future, Lukaku remains stuck in limbo. Teenage striker Mason Greenwood again took full advantage of Lukaku’s continued absence with the only goal against Inter in the International Champions Cup at Singapore’s National Stadium, three days after claiming his first senior goal in the 4-0 victory against Leeds United in Perth. Solskjaer has ruled out any prospect of Greenwood being loaned out as the 17-year-old further boosted his chances of starting United’s opening Premier League game against Chelsea on August 11. snip Real going to have to roll with Cuntois and Navas it looks like, it really was not realistic RM could buy De Gea, Pogba, de Ligt and Eriksen ON TOP of the massive cash they have already splashed. I think they will deffo try for Pogba rather than Eriksen, as they are pretty light at CMF after Kroos (I think Modric is spent as a complete world class force, I really do, he has not looked the same post World Cup) Real also is CRAZILY overloaded at left winger Eden Hazard Vinícius Júnior Marco Asensio Rodrygo Brahim Díaz and Isco (who plays some at LW (14 games in last two years), even though a lot more at AMF)
  15. Zinedine Zidane drops huge Paul Pogba to Real Madrid transfer hint https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/zinedine-zidane-drops-huge-paul-18459102 Manchester United will do well to prevent Paul Pogba from leaving this summer and Zinedine Zidane has hinted a move to Real Madrid could be on the cards, according to GOAL . The midfielder joined the Red Devils from Juventus for £89 million three years ago, but recently admitted he was looking to seek new challenges in his career. Maurizio Sarri 's side have been linked with a swoop for Pogba however, reports have suggested he favours the Spanish capital and that Madrid have made him their top target. Real look as though they mean business with key signings including Eden Hazard , Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy needing to perform as the club strive to regain the ground they lost to Barcelona last season. On the subject of Pogba and his future, Zidane suggested that Madrid's shopping list is not yet complete and that further signings could come through the door at the Bernabeu. He said: "We need to respect everybody, but the only thing I can say from the club is we know what we want to do. Something could happen before the end of August. We could have some changes." Last month, Pogba spoke publicly about the situation and revealed he was keen to explore new opportunities which could mean leaving Old Trafford. He said: "I think for me, it can be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else." snip Zinedine Zidane claims Real Madrid ‘have a plan’ to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/20/zinedine-zidane-claims-real-madrid-plan-sign-paul-pogba-manchester-united-10432474/ Real Madrid remain in pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba with manager Zinedine Zidane claiming they ‘have a plan’ as they track his signature. The 26-year-old declared his desire to leave Old Trafford earlier in the summer and Real have made no secret of their interest in bringing him to Spain. However, United are very keen to keep hold of the World Cup winner and have ruled out letting him move for any less than £150m. Real do not look likely to come up with that sort of cash having already spent over £270m on on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo during this transfer window. A deal is not completely off the table, though, with Zidane remaining coy on the situation. When asked at a press conference about possibly options to bring Pogba to Madrid, the Frenchman said: ‘We have a plan with the club and we’ll see what happens. But today we are focused on tomorrow’s game [against Bayern Munich]. ‘What happens next will already be seen. You know many things, but we will see. Lots of things can happen.’ snip
  16. Tottenham 'name their price' for Christian Eriksen as Atletico Madrid prepare bid https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-name-price-christian-eriksen-18457078 Tottenham have named their price for prized asset Christian Eriksen as Spanish giants Atletico Madrid look set to bid for the Danish playmaker. According to AS , an emissary authorised by the north London club met with Miguel Angel Gil, Chief Executive Officer of Atletico, to discuss the sale of the midifelder. The same report suggests Eriksen will be available for €60-70million. The 27-year-old joined Spurs back in the summer of 2013 from Dutch giants Ajax, costing the club just £12m at the time. Eriksen signed new contract back in 2016 but that contract expires at the end of the season. snip
  17. £14 million, rising to a potential fee of almost £22 million (which we did not have to pay on I am fairly sure of) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3192511/Chelsea-agree-21-7m-deal-Augsburg-defender-Baba-Rahman.html Chelsea agree £21.7m deal for Augsburg defender Baba Rahman Chelsea responded to dropping two points at home to Swansea by agreeing a deal for left back Abdul Baba Rahman for an initial £14million. Talks between Chelsea and Augsburg have been ongoing for weeks and the agreement will see a further £3.5m paid in bonuses depending on Chelsea performances, £700,000 after the 21-year-old completes 20 games and a further £3.5m after he has made 100 appearances — meaning the total value of the deal could reach almost £22m. The Ghana international has agreed a five-year contract and will head to London to complete his medical. snip 2015– Chelsea 15 Games (0) Goals <<<< we were not stupid, lolol, dodged most all of the bonuses That said, 5 million euros (£4.5m) seems really low to sell him for, he literally just turned 25, has 5 or 6 years left at peak age, and had a great 2nd half last year at Stade de Reims (which is why I hoped he would get a shot at backup LB (same for Juan Familia-Casillo) so we could sell Alonso for £40m or so (next summer, 2020, Alonso will be worth a lot less as he turns 30yo mid-season, Dec 28, 2020.)
  18. On the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, Eden Hazard dons No. 50
  19. Last year he played 12 games at DMF, 4 at AMF and 31 at CMF so seems a bit of both van de Beek and de Jong, at least in terms of positional play. That said, 10 goals and 9 assists is more direct production than de Jong, so I could see you argument.. At around 10 million quid, I do not think Ajax overpaid. There just are not that many young, super versatile MFers out there who truly can play all 3 major positions well. I tip Marin to have a great season.
  20. I m resigned to Alonso being our b/u LB as Juan Famila-Castillo didnt even travel, nor did Baba but ffs, we simply must sell Drinkwater and Bakayoko they are bad players, offer nothing
  21. We really miss Kante Rudiger (maybe worse than Kante) RLC Kepa CHO is a hard call, as he has played so little, BUT we need him and Willian both, badly as we are so short of wingers Lamps will sort it I can see what he is doing with the lineups and the formation experiments biggest thing for me is GET RUDIGER BACK Zouma has been a big disappointment looks in shape, but his play on the ball is BAD and like Luiz, he make mental errors I wish Tomori would have played half the game we all know what Luiz can do
  22. disjointed performance typical preseason we have so many players to sort through the good Bats Pedro Jorginho Mount Barkely was best player on the pitch when he came in Giroud looked dangerous, he is going to be our starter I think, at Manure Kenedy was horrid the first 15, 20, then really came on, nice surprise, should have scored, but ht to their GK Pulisic looked bright, barely played Kovacic same as Kenedy, but not quite the impact Wille looked oki AC Luiz great passing, meh defence Azpi Zappacosta (another surprise, very aggressive, far more dangerous than Azpi, he has been really good his last few games) Emerson the bad Zouma (bad on the ball, didnt play well with Luiz) Alonso (looks as slow as I recall, lol) Drinkwater (he just looks so so rusty) Bakayoko (horrid, will not fit in here, we need to sell him) Palmer (no end product, not horrid, just meh)
  23. Dennis Man looks to be a good young RW Steaua București super pacey decent shot
  24. as soon as they came on Kawasaki started bossing MF
