I understand why he never made it here. He's a midtable player. At his age, maybe a future Spurs level player. But I don't think he's good enough for a club like Chelsea. Definitely not for what Chelsea aspire to be. He was better off forcing a permanent move imo.

You lost. I thought I was stubborn, wow. I get these visions and you inspired me.
-
Oh my goodness. Now you're screaming and crying in the parking lot. Strangers have to surround you to calm you down. An old lady across the street, frightened and shivering, is close to calling the police. The fight is over. The spectators are going home to their families. What are you doing? The Community shield is posted before other trophies. And even if it was, it would still be a trophy and not a friendly. Friendly (tounament) trophies aren't listed. Why? Because they aren't official matches.
-
The man in the first video was on the verge of crying haha. He was watching a different game though. Arsenal weren't dominating possession at all. Wright-Phillips' twin brother is hilarious. He's so delusional. Claude was right again. Same old story.
-
What are you talking about? All the different trophies are listed. League Titles, European Trophies etc., just scroll down. That's the trophy cabinet. Unless you're talking about that stupid banner. But that would be pitiful. You're the boxer that got knocked out, but is demanding to resume the fight after he came back to earth. You're not fit to fight, you might die. Get some rest, eat a cookie. There will be other fights.

http://www.chelseafc.com/the-club/history/style/trophy-cabinet.html Give up, JayJay. When you're a know-it-all, you better make sure you're right. Peace out.

So the Supercup is an official trophy, included in a club's trophy cabinet, but it's not an official match. Hmm...
-
Fab was playing well 11v11. He deserves most of the criticism he's received but not today.
-
Mourinho: 'You're only a cheat if you get caught.' I'm sure that's his philosophy. And you can tell he's just been waiting and waiting to bring out the smugness again. He's really enjoying this.
-
I've been saying this for ages. Too much drifting. He should always be in the box when the ball is in wide positions. Yet you'll (too) often catch him positioned on the left wing or behind play for some reason. It really annoys me. And it's not just him. Not enough bodies in the box in most cases.
-
He should be skipped/ignored more often when he's far from the box. For some reason, he pretty much always gets the ball from his team mates. But that's stupid since he often loses possession or just ruins any kind of momentum. Let him make his runs off the ball and exploit the space he creates. (Diego dribbles like Torres btw. Useless dribbles right into traffic, trying to to go through players rather than going past them. I don't understand why managers allow them such freedom.)

No, I meant goals in all competitions. I'm sure I've seen Supercup goals count in a Messi or Ronaldo total of the season when people/sites get their calculators out.
-
How is not an official match? It's an official match in every other country. League winner vs Cup winner to kick off the season. A goal will count in a player's season total. Unless the rules are different in England. How certain people view a match is irrelevant.
-
The Shield, aka the English Supercup, is an official match though.
-
Azpilicueta does not compare the likes of Alba, Alaba, Dani Alves etc. going forward and on the ball, but no one compares to him defensively, whether high up the pitch or in deep positions. I thought he was excellent today. He also makes the job of the CB next to him so much easier, just look at Gary's form.
-
Did you miss the long shots today? Even Zouma took a shot. But the team is still not flowing and they took shooting from outside the box too far. It was forced. It will probably take a couple of games still before automatic pilot kicks back in and things will go about naturally. It's not and it never has been. Arsenal and Utd aren't that good, Liverpool and Tottenham are decent at best. That's why I was never worried about finishing outside the top 4. The only failure is allowing to let the title go so easily. But I agree with you, a positive result doesn't mean all is well. But I'll take any good result in this poor form. Chelsea were never going to blow away Arsenal or even win with more comfort after losing against the likes of Everton and Palace and a proper beating from City. What happened has happened. The poor start can not be erased. Get some more wins, preferably and ideally consecutively, and then start looking at performances in general.
-
Oscar plays, Chelsea wins. Again. It was said he didn't matter. Well...
-
I'd rather see him play good football and scoring goals. Don't care for this.
-
Big ups to GC. I will sometimes make fun of him when he's failing or simply doesn't look the part to me. But he's been really good these past two games. Taking responsibility and defending proactively rather than playing cautiously and waiting to react, to avoid mistakes (even though lack of action is just as bad as making errors). Maybe the mask brings out his inner superhero. The Blue Falcon. I dig.
-
He did do better but he was teasing all game long. Looked like he was gonna conjure up something spicy, something delicious, but then went on to take the easy way out. He's so much better than this. I'm still waiting for the real Hazard to come back. I love that guy. This one is alright.
-
He's turning it around. Let's see how it continues.
-
I was actually thinking about you at some point during the game, thinking you were right. Arsenal were very poor, even before the red cards. Arsene has turned over a completely new leaf in terms of approach in big games. Smarter, more realistic. But the execution in counter-attacking was poor. Game could've ended in a draw though. That was the feeling I had. Chelsea couldn't get through their defence and they were defending well. But then Diego put up a one man show. I have no idea how he managed to stay on the pitch. Shocking really.
-
Agree. I thought Cesc looked good. Even before the sending offs. Thought he was looking good physically, good play on the ball. Great improvement in his positional play. Of course the slow tempo of the game and Arsenal's lack of pressing suited him but still. Positive signs I think. I hope. I pray.

KUUUUUUUUUUUUURT! F*** John Stones.
