  1. Swansea was matchday 1. The football in the second half of 14/15 was boring but effective. That team was actually a unit. But you can choose not to believe. I smell bad juju.
  2. Don't know. She always reminded me of one. Can you not imagine her with a flowy skirt and a scarf around her head, dancing on a windy field with excessive jewelry dangling in every direction?
  3. Eva put a gypsy curse on the club. I wouldn't be surprised if the results turned around if Mourinho got sacked. He messed with the wrong woman.
  4. What I loved about him was his unique skillset. Tall, strong and left-footed (!), offering a great physical presence in midfield and decent technique, even capable of skipping past a player and carrying the ball forward. But 2015 has not been a good year, and that's putting it lightly. He can recover from this but not in his current role imo. He's not a (lone) holding midfielder. Not at this level. He lacks the tactical intelligence of a shield and lacks the intelligence on the ball of a midfield general. He's better off in the Essien/Ballack role, with the tactical freedom as a box-to-box midfielder.
  5. Garbáge. Hard to believe the 2012 Oscar and the 2015 Oscar are one and the same. But I always said he could head down the Mikel road.
  6. If that would include a Delorean, then yeah, sure.
  7. Britney Spears. Thanks for the laugh.
  8. Spend big on who in January? No top player is joining Chelsea in the winter window. Talk about a terrible career move. We'd be lucky to see a top player joining in the summer of 2016.
  9. Performances in Europe have been somewhat better. Chels have managed to take the points even when struggling. But I'm not looking forward to this. Stamford Bridge is the furthest thing from a fortress and Porto is good. Think they will cause damage on the break.
  10. I was fine with the decision to keep him on until the end of the season, if both parties would part ways in the summer of 2016. Even if he finished top 4. That was the fantasy I created in my head. It would've been unfair to hand that mess over to another manager and expect him to perform miracles. So I hope you're wrong. I have to admit I'm envious of Liverpool's proactive-ish (they could've let Rodgers go in the summer) decision. It could secure them a top 4 spot that was very unlikely at first.
  11. All fair points. This team can't score goals from open play. How is that possible?
  12. I wish they'd tell us when we'd get those wins. I could schedule naps on the matchdays that aren't won.
  13. Yes. It works once in a blue moon (Demba Ba vs PSG) and then it's labled as brilliance.
  14. A good ol' Mourinho waiting for something to go wrong and then react sub(s). I can't believe this.
  15. Bournemouth were on top for about 15 min I think. 10-15 min Chels on top. Rest of the game was kind of even. It wasn't great but it wasn't that bad. Both GK had some work to do. Some of the attacking play was really encouraging. They remain vulnerable on the break though. Cahill really annoys me with his moonwalking. Seems like Zouma is starting to copy it as well.
  16. Things were finally starting to click after 40 min. Real incision. Best possession play I've seen this season. Actually looked like they could string more than 3, 4 passes (excluding the most basic of passing moves). Team looks shaky every time the ball is lost. So frustrating. I don't know what to expect. I think Chels will score but Bournemouth can easily score as well. Pedro looks like he wants to do five things at once. He just hasn't found that calm. But I'm still confident he'll come good. But then again, every attacking player flops under Mourinho. Except for Willian then. I've missed Big Nose. Welcome back. He looks good too.
  17. Their downfall is inevitable. Finish in the top 8 and they've done an extremely good job. Spurs dropped points. Chels disrupted their flow. Would be great if Pool dropped points tomorrow but that seems unlikely.
  18. Sigh, Ivanovic. Was hoping to see Hazard either behind the striker or on the left. Is he supposed to start up attacks, create space and finish in this role? I guess we'll see. Have to win this. Have to win this comfortably tbh.
  19. Christensen vs Bayern (part of a 5 man defence today) 4 Tackles 5 Interceptions 7 Clearances 3 Blocked Shots 0 Fouls (!) 8 Aerial Duels Won 49 Touches Passing Accuracy 70% WhoScored's MOTM with a 8.34 rating. Loving the experience he's gaining there. He's been a big succes thusfar. The game was tense but he kept his cool.
  20. Yeah that was my feeling too. But I guess he did well with what he got, which was very little. I'm really hoping for some vintage Hazard today. Bournemouth at home on the back of two wins and a draw, he should be in dazzle and destroy mode today. Tired of this constant mediocrity.
  21. Costa said Chelsea wanted him but chose to go to Bayern, wanting to work with Guardiola. The whinging and feelings of regret can stop. Case closed.
