  1. Why does it matter? Utd will be succesful regardless. I know it wouldn't bother me. Not more than it bothered me to see Utd winning under Ferguson anyway.
  2. I think saying Mourinho and Simeone are the same is the same as saying Guardiola and Wenger are the same. They're not. There are similarities but they're not the same. Wouldn't mind Simeone at all but I would prefer a manager with a different approach. Why wouldn't we deserve performances with our team taking teams by the scruff? Obviously not possible in every game but it would be the aim, the style. We've witnessed the pragmatic and defensive game for so long.
  3. Their style is nothing like Mourinho's. So if that is the aim, then yeah.
  4. He'd be that little lad shouting and selling newspapers at all hours of the day in the 1800s.
  5. They're the winners in this. Look at all that inside news, secret top sources and scoops they mustered up in international spy fashion. They even got xPetrCechx working in overdrive.
  6. To think people would actually be upset if Chelsea beat them like Maccabi. If those saying there will be boos are correct, they'll be even more upset. People outside the Bridge will think the pitch was invaded by an army of cows. Only at the famous Chels.
  7. To even suggest you know or can see what he went through is ludicrous and absurd. I'll never understand some people.
  8. Chelsea's performance at Camp Nou under Hiddink was so extremely defensive. I still laugh whenever I think about it. People absolutely hated Chelsea after that day haha. No recognition what so ever was given for that performance at The Bridge. I can still picture Drogba missing all those chances in my mind. Never been able to rewatch that game. That hurt bad. One of the greatest games I've seen though. It had everything.
  9. The PL is the only league in the world with such a high amount of thugs. And they're revered. It's funny when you start comparing challenges to those of other leagues. It's crazy. Eredivisie is the worst. Softer than a perfect set of tits. You can get sent off for a tap on the shoulder.
  10. If Chelsea ever decide to truly integrate youth players, it will be a process. Including some dry spells in terms of trophies. They've just put it off constantly and delivered lovely empty words to the fans. I always point to Bayern. They weren't a force in Europe in the 00s after their CL win and were no longer the dominant force in Germany. But they've been reaping the awards of their labour the past five years.
  11. Cowardice traitor. Afraid to face Sunderland. Just like going off against Leicester at 0-0.
  12. Because players decide transfer fees? Go take a nap, Iseah. You've been at it too long.
  13. I think Inter. Great GK, team full of big, physical and hard-working players, couple of skilled players like Jovetic and Ljajic and a finisher in Icardi. After a few hard years they're the underdogs again and they have money again. Mancini looks like he'll finish in a CL spot, might even win the league. The style he employs is similar. Mourinho comes in at the right time as an upgrade. Us against the world, rifts, results are the most important thing. A couple of smart buys and he can get them to challenge Juventus regularly and back among Europe's best. Melo under Mourinho would be hilarious Man Utd is possible I guess. Fans want exciting football but those in charge might think differently. If he ends up there, I give him three years. I always thought he'd coach City before Utd. But maybe they want to continue in the style they've been playing.
  14. That's life. The same thing happened when Pochettino was appointed at Southampton. It's always nice when a man proves the masses wrong. With all this Hiddink talk, I hope he proves me wrong too.
  15. Yeah, hot and cold is right. Don't think his time at Juve and Inter was considered a succes. He seems to like a challenge though, he's in for all kinds of jobs. His timing might not be the best though.
  16. Changing up the line-up is too much of a risk for whoever is in charge on Saturday and basically a slap in the face of Mourinho. Don't expect much change. He could even send out the same team.
  17. I don't know about wonders but he did a great job, that's true. But I think many people forget Ranieri finished 2nd behind the Invincibles and reached the semi-finals of the CL. His team was not as talented as the 04-07 one and his team was quite fresh (in terms of chemistery). You can't tell me Ranieri would never have won the league if he was allowed to stay. He most likely wouldn't have won it in such a dominant fashion, at least that's what I think. You're probably right about Hughes but I'm sure he was gone before the real talent joined. He had that Adebayor team. But I rate Ranieri higher than Hughes.
  18. City's road to the top was longer. Chelsea finished in the top 4 when Abramovich took over. City was average. The likes of Elano, Benjani, Petrov, Geovanni etc won't win you a thing. Robinho as your star player isn't nearly enough. Now City is really starting to gain in on Chelsea. Good thing they're pony in Europe.
  19. It's a good thing emotional fans don't make decisions. If it was up to me, and I sure wasn't the only one, Drogba wouldn't have lasted til 2012. This all reminds me of Drogba years back, After his amazing 06/07, his form dipped immensely in 07/08. And unlike Hazard, his attitude stunk. The slap in Moscow was the last drop. Would have happily let him go after that coupled with his poor showings. There were talks about him joining Inter too and I remember Drogba not being happy. It took Hiddink taking over in 09 for Drogba to get back to his old self. I learned my lesson after that, not to write off players too quickly. I hope it won't take Eden as long to get out of his funk though. But maybe he'll be gone by then, who knows.
  20. Now I understand. Chelsea hired and sacked all those managers so JT could learn from each and every one of them, pick and mold the best methods and combine them with his own alpha male personality and leadership abilities to eventually transform into the ultimate manager for Chelsea after he retires. Genius.
  21. The avatar. Wow. About not signing players. Arsenal only signed Cech and have a host of injuries. Check their position in the league. Even Juventus recovered after a poor start and selling their best players. Not signing players (who knows whether they tried or not, maybe they didn't want to join. Douglas Costa didn't) prevented progress but it's not the reason for free-falling.
  22. You're enjoying this too much, Styles. That earlier post really made me laugh though.
  23. Seriously though, what does he do? And what is his experience in football? I also always read about that Marina woman being Abramovich's advisor. Talk about a vague role.
