  1. Utd brought on a five-year-old. How embarassing...
  2. I don't want to believe it either but what if he played Aina and Baba and they did worse? It is very possible, no matter how much you don't want it to be.
  3. Fair enough. Attracting those kinds of players will be a bitch.
  4. My problem with Mikel is that he doesn't do anything. Barely does the basics of his role. Maybe we deserve to be average. What am I saying? I'd love average right now. I'm sad.
  5. Those long balls are sucking the soul out of me. People will still have you believe ball-playing defenders and high levels of technique and vision aren't crucial. Dinosaurs.
  6. Even Mikel releases the ball quicker than him. Unbelievable.
  7. Signings won't fix this. Signings can't fix terrible passing and positioning. Could Ivanovic be any slower btw?
  8. Chelsea is so poor. No idea when they have the ball. Disjointed, stupid long balls. I want to cry. Making Utd (!) look pretty good. Matic is killing me with these excessive touches. Shadow of his former self, losing more and more faith game by game. Hazard is the only one who looks like a real player when he has the ball. But he has no confidence and arrogance on the ball anymore, resulting in these half-attempts. No striker = no threat, no reference point. Poo.
  9. Terry needs to be let go smoothly and Cahill needs to be let go abruptly. The great faith placed in Cahill is a move I'll never understand. There was a time when Gallas and Alex were considered not good enough. Both Chelsea and Utd let their standards drop.
  10. He literally just got here. I doubt he spends his free time watching Chelsea. Maybe he'll make changes at a later stage. Maybe he won't make changes but get them to play better. Maybe he won't make changes or will make changes but 'fail' all the same. That's also a possibility.
  11. I always read Stones-Zouma was supposed to be Chelsea's CB duo. Two rookie CBs, still learning, still making mistakes, potential to be great but far from great still. It would never work. I miss the days of Terry-Carvalho. They spoiled me.
  12. I agree. Traore is a better striker than Hazard but I guess with the little he's played he was never an option. Or maybe I'm wrong and Hazard is the better striker. In that case Traore is quite poor. Anyway, isn't it lovely to have 4 strikers at the club but not one is fit, available or good enough?
  13. Aynone send Mendes a Christmas card for that sweet Falcao deal?
  14. Hiddink with the false 9 or plain Hazard playing striker too? Disappointed. Role doesn't suit him at all yet he'll be expected to perform. Might as well play Mikel right wing. Maybe he is gonna park the bus, yeah. We'll see.
  15. I still think there's a real talent in Wilshere. But Barkley and Alli could make England move on from Wilshere, who was indeed turning into Rooney part II, with all the weight put on his shoulders.
  16. That's quite the exaggeration, don't you think? He's always been one of the better performers when playing for England (in general), and that's for England alone. He's a good player but his terrible fitness prevents him from making real progress. I find the England team very interesting btw. I have watched the team play and have looked at your players, and there's something there. Especially with the emergence of desperately needed midfielders in the likes of Alli, Barkley and Dier. GK: Hart, Butland, Forster, Ruddy, Foster RB: Walker, Clyne, Johnson CB: Smalling, Cahill, Stones, Jones, Jagielka LB: Shaw, Bertrand, Rose DM: Dier, Carrick, Barry RCM: Alli, Henderson, Milner LCM: Barkley, Wilshere, Shelvey RW: Sturridge, Walcott, Chamberlain ST: Kane, Rooney, Welbeck LW: Sterling, Vardy, Lallana Something like that, contestants to go to the tournament. The problem is that the team is so junior. Reminds me of Belgium years back. They'll go to Euro 2016 and win the hearts of the neutrals (and become the '2nd team' of rival fans) if they continue to play some of the exciting football they've played. But they won't win. Yes, nothing is impossible. I know. But I'd love to see a fit England team next year. Euro 2016, WC 2018 and even Euro 2020 will probably come too early. But the 2022 World Cup, when so many of those players are in their mid-twenties to early thirties, is when you could field quite the team. New players will inevitable pop up as well.
  17. Where is the love for Willian's assist? That's what you call world-class. The weight and curve on that pass, phenomenal. It zipped past two players because you can't defend that. There was a time when he wouldn't even attempt such a pass, let alone execute it flawlessly. One of the assists of the season for me.
  18. You hate youngsters! Youthist. I have no idea what that kid is doing in this team. Such a waste.

    U-23 XI

Good player. I think he'd be good for Spurs or Liverpool, but I don't think he's good enough for the 'traditional' top 4.

I could've sworn Isco was a '91 kid. I messed up there. Apologies to Ross but Isco is a bigger talent imo.
