  1. To be fair, BL never did say the Premier League was a better league. Some players simply don't perform in a certain league (not saying that would be the case with Hamsik and Marin).
  2. Hmm can't say i ever saw him doing that too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sJhh-YcvbU&feature=player_embedded#!
  3. Don't agree with you on that comment. Messi puts up pretty good fight and doesn't go down easily at all.
  4. No you're getting me wrong. What i mean when i say a pure dribbler is that when that type of player has the ball, the first thing he wants to do is get past the player he's facing. Iniesta is not that type of player since he would rather pass the ball to a player in a good position than getting past a player in front of him. Just because a player has the ability to go past players with complete ease, doesn't mean the players a pure dribbler. And you can't compare the Spanish league with the Premier League, since the tempo in that league is much lower and a lot less physical. Players have a lot more time on the ball there and play without the fear of being chopped down. It's okay if a player does it once in a while but doing it regularly in match will result in being the victim of a lot of late tackles. Yeah you're right about McEachran, having the ability to do that really is special. But i hope he knows when to do it and when to just pass the ball.
  5. It would be best to look for a PL team he could go to first though, like Man Utd did with Welbeck and Cleverly.
  6. . Let's hope he gets more serious game time now and i would love to see him in his favorite role as attacking midfielder.
  7. Iniesta and Deco aren't pure dribblers though. They are more the types to use a quick flicks to go past one man and they always know when to take on a man or just pass the ball. Marin is the type that likes to drive his markers crazy and go a little too far sometimes (at least that i saw him doing last season) and they wont take that here. They'll just kick him or ''sandwich'' him. But again, i don't know how much he's grown or if he changed his style of play. I agree with you though on having a player like that in midfied (can't play without one in PES ). That's why i was hoping for us to sign Van der Vaart, or at least a player like him, these past two, three transfer periods.
  8. Ohw my bad then. But i don't like the idea of a pure dribbler in the centre of the pitch in the Premier League though (too crowded). His passing never impressed me last season. But then again, maybe he improved his passing game..
  9. I still don't get how you see Marin as alternative. If the club/manager is looking for a midfielder, i don't know why they would be looking at a winger .
  10. Haha i would say oopsie. Still at a age where he can still grow a lot, especially since he's a midfielder/playmaker. I think he has. I thought he was great last season and had a major influence in them finishing in 4th place and he's been doing great this season too. Modric isn't the most exciting player but he's so vital for his team. But then again, playmakers always were underrated by many.
  11. Again, don't get me wrong. I know Marin and it's obvious he's got great potential. I remember watching his last season and one match in particular, against Valencia in the EL. He was great, driving their defence crazy with incredibly quick feet. But there's so much that happen to a young player (personal problems, injuries, lacking consistency, wrong choices, bad guidance, not having the right mentality etc.) that can mess up his development or him not fulfilling his full potential. One of the main reasons why major clubs don't just buy every player with great potential. Look at the likes of Quaresma, Diego, Robinho, Berbatov, my good friend Cassano, millions of Brazilians who are/were supposed to be ''the new Ronaldo'' and so many more All have the talent to be great great players but for different reasons never reached the greatness they could've turned out to be. Marin hasn't proven anything (constantly) at the highest level so it would be wrong to say he is better than someone who has. And again, he's a winger anyway. And about Özil, everyone who saw him play could see that happening . Still not a star yet though but well on his way. And about your comment on Hamsik, you're acting as if Modric has reached his peak. He just turned 24, Hamsik is only one year younger than him.
  12. Don't get me wrong eldo, i know he's good. Great dribbler and very agile, a real handful. But there's no way he's a better player than Modric (right now), he still has a lot to prove too.
  13. I would agree with you on the keeper issue at the beginning of the season but believe it or not, Abbiati has done surprisingly well so far. Has made some world-class saves, much more secure when dealing with crosses and hasn't really been dropping balls like crazy like he used to and has only conceded 13 goals in 17 games so far. He's arguably been the best goalie in the league so far so the GK position is the least of their worries so far. You're right about getting another CB. Nesta and Thiago Silva form a world-class CB duo but both are very injury-prone. Nesta probably has one more season left in him (he's still one the best in the league though). But Sokratis is supposed to be a great talent so maybe he'll step up. But it would be best to get another CB. About Zlatan, he's pretty much a Milan player. Officially it's a loan deal but because of a special construction he'll officially be a Milan player at the end of the season. The same goes for K-P. Boateng and Roma and Milan did the same with Borrielo. You can scratch Ronaldinho from the those names though, Berlusconi confirmed Cassano will be Ronaldinho's replacement as Dinho will be leaving.
  14. Dzeko's a striker, we were talkig about midfielders. Diego hmm. I rated him when he was at Bremen but he hasn't exactly been on fire these last two years, failing at Juve and not doing anything special at Wolfsburg right now. Not even part of the Brazilian national team. Marin? Seriously? There's no way he's a better player than Modric and he's a winger anyway. You dissapointed me with that one LDN . Hamsik stil has a lot to prove. I do see him becoming a great player but saying he's better Modric now is simply not true. I doubt you even follow Napoli, Wolfsburg and Bremen .
  15. Ohw you're serious. No he is certainly not the best player in the world but the best player in the world doesn't even want to play for us (can't afford him too). But he is one the best in the league. Do better? Really? Hmm you'll have to help me with that. Can't think of a player we could actually sign who's actually better than Modric..
  16. Incredible player. The most talented player (together with Ibrahimovic) in the Serie A but he's handful. But i would also take the risk for that price. If he manages to behave, he'll be a great hit. This probably means the end of the great Ronaldinho though... He was superb last season but it seems like he doesn't really care anymore and has been spotted in the Milan night life again. Horrible end to the (European) career of one of the best footballers ever. They need to get a replacement for the long-term injured Silva though together with a solid LB & RB. If they do that, they'll have a world-class team again. But they're current side is good enough to win the league. Abbiati Abate Nesta Thiago Silva/?* Antonini A./G. K-P. Boateng A. Pirlo Cassano Pato Ibrahimovic *? - new player A. - Ambro G. - Gatusso Milan!
  17. Luka Modric is a genius and has made his name in the Premier League. Hamsik still has a lot to prove. Btw there's no use in comparing the two players since they're two completely different players. Hamsik is a goal-scoring midfielder and Modric is a playmaker that makes a team play better. So it really depends on what a club/manager is looking for. You could even sign both and play them together.
  18. Wow, that's a great example of understatement .
  19. Not surprising since the master of people management managed to convince a world-class striker to play as a wingback and got him to give his all in that role without complaining. And it isn't like Drogba really performed in last year's CL (this year too). But like you stated earlier, his briliant form in a struggling side this first half of the season was decisive.
