That was a very poor first half. Worst passing game ever this season. Do a Man Utd in the second half Chels, score twice in one minute just a minute after the start of the second half. And Sturridge on for Anelka CA and not in the 65th minute. He needs to change his ways and show the starters that when you don't play well and don't give your all, there is someone on the bench that will gladly take your place. Our starters are too comfortable since they know they'll always play.

Ancelotti should really think about giving Anelka a midfield role and play a real attacker on the left/right attacker role up front. The guy drops deep so much and we really need three real attackers.

Yup, so sad. He's probably wondering what miracles he has to perform to get a start. He's a better player than Kalou but still Salomon gets to start. For me Kalou will never be more than a good squad player and great impact sub. It will take a miracle for him to grow out into a Chelsea star. Sturridge on the other hand keeps showing he has something special about him and really can grow out into a Chelsea star. Sadly for him, his coach is an experience lover (quality > experience !).

You do know the 4-3-1-2 formation is just the 4-diamond-2 formation that failed miserably. We just don't have the right midfielders for the system. And it's a hard system to pull of in modern football.

Not neccisarily. We don't have a lot of options up front so the fact that a loan move would be rejected is kind of logical. And from what i read, click here, it was Daniel who turned down the move.

Issue 1: The likes of all Balotelli, Fabregas, Pato, Messi, Rooney (i could go on and on and on..) were all at big clubs when they were at the start of their careers. Issue 2: Sadly that's true. But then again, why would the club assign a manager who loves experience and loves to extend the careers of old players to a aging squad..

Wish i could be as optimistic as you. I don't think many realise that the amount game time our youngsters are getting is very low. The likes of Messi, Fabregas, Pato and many others did not become who they are today with the amount of game time our coach(es) is giving/gave them. What a player like Sturridge needs is a good run in the first XI and not start him a game and then just bench him again. That hardly helps a player, especially attackers. They need a lot confidence and a coach that believes in him. Just look at Gareth Bale, he almost reached ''player who could not fulfill his potential'' status. But got an oppurtinity to start a string of games and look where he is right now.

My goodness, the money our players are making is ridiculous. It's his first contract with us and he's only 21 (19 when he joined us). This club will never become independent with wages like that.
