  1. That video never gets old. The Little Giant is simply the best player we've ever had.
  2. His second assist alone showed that it's high up the pitch where you want him. Such awareness, vision, quickness of thought and composure under pressure is exactly what you need from your attacking midfielders.
  3. Hmm 25 mil was the most talked about price. Guess we'll never really know.
  4. Brilliant play. Love this guy so much haha.
  5. Haha why am I not surprised by such thoughts. Many actually think a buying a few talented young players means we magically turn into a top team. Whether you like it or not, it will take time to become a strong team. We deservedly finished sixth in the league last season.
  6. Don't like it all, looks like it was designed by a 9-year-old.
  7. It brought me to tears haha. The way he said it.
  8. Yes plenty. Don't think Benayoun is going anywhere and that's a good thing as he makes a fine squad player imo. So those 5 players you mentioned plus Benayoun, Malouda and Kakuta if he stays (Sturridge in case of emergencies as well) means we have plenty of options. No need to get greedy. Not even Real have a huge amount of players for the 3 behind the striker. While we can also easily switch to a 4-3-3 formation, even 4-4-2.
  9. You're only confirming what I said. He's not been playing well, talent doesn't disappear. Brazil isn't better than Italy, Holland were awful at the Euros but they still beat Brazil at the World Cup. England isn't part of the elite.
  10. Loaning him out is what's best for him though. He needs the experience of playing at a high level. And we have plenty of options for the the 'three' behind the striker so Malouda won't have to feature much if he doesn't improve his form of last season even if he stays.
  11. He's the 10 of the Olympic team. And if it wasn't for the form and fitness issues Ganso has been going through, he probably wouldn't have been a starter. And it's not like Brazil are part of the elite anymore, we're not '02 anymore. That wasn't even my point though. These starting line-ups people are throwing around with Oscar in it.. they're expecting too much of the guy. Fans shouldn't cry if he doesn't immediately make an impact.
  12. I'm not a fan of all these crazy inflated prices but why is it always a problem when it's about us? Man Utd bought Anderson for โ‚ฌ30 mil and back then paying that amount of money for a young and unproven player was considered even crazier, but that wasn't a outrage? And some advise, stop caring about the prices. If Chelsea is interested, the price goes up by 10-15 mil.
  13. People shouldn't go crazy, he's not starter material yet. Welcome Oscar.
  14. Mehh a role playing behind a striker doesn't suit him (ideally). The guy just screams offensive central midfielder, similar to Lampard's former role. Well that's the way I see it. Though he could do a decent job as a 10.
  15. Are you for real? Hmm a loan to Werder is interesting. I was thinking about a La Liga side myself but this would also make sense. Not too much pressure and a good chance of him playing regularly. He definitely needs to loaned as he needs to play and gain experience at a high level. But he has the ability.
  16. Buys like this make me wonder why we even have a academy..
  17. The Eredivisie is of a higher level and most importantly, it's how they play in the league. Like I said, there is a emphasis on technique. Something which Romelu is seriously lacking in. He'll never make it at Chelsea if he doesn't improve significantly in this area. Playing in the Eredivisie will do him a lot of good of developing in this area. While the emphasis on attacking total/possesion football also means attackers learn how to move and link up, sounds simple but it isn't. Just look at how the succes rate of players who move from the Eredivisie to a big league is far higher than players moving from the Jupiler league to a big league, especially when moving to a big side. Judging him on 3-4 games? Read my post again. I've seen him before he joined and I've always said the same thing. There's a goal-scorer in him but that's about the only thing he can do. That's not enough, not at this level, and that part of his game isn't even close to the necessary level (yet). I'm not having a go at him or anything, he's simply not ready for this level. He needs to go and play regular football somewhere. But he's not ready for Fulham imo. I can just tell we'd end up regretting sending him there.
  18. It's really painful to watch him play. He's playing like he's got a gun aimed at his head.
  19. Can't believe Bayer turned down 20 mil. He probably would've been ideal as an option for the striker role if whatever would go wrong with Torres (again) and Sturridge.
  20. He's good, not great. It would be a bad idea to pay big money for him imo. We need to stop getting ripped off all the time.
  21. It's a shame really. Even before he arrived, it was so incredibly obvious that the guy is very raw despite the ridiculous hype that surrounded him. Ideally he would've been sent out on loan quickly after he signed, instead of wasting a whole year on the bench. Don't give me that training with big stars nonsense as that only makes him improve slightly. I hope the rumours of him going to Fulham aren't true as he's not good enough to be a starter there. Two years in the Eredivisie at a side like Feyenoord would do him a lot of good, a league which emphasises on technique and attacking football (plus he speaks the language). To then loan him out to a a PL club for a year would be the best way to go with him. A similar approach to what the club did with Courtois, which is the best way the club has ever handled a youngster in the Abramovich era.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj_bBcwBL20 Drogzilla has arrived.
