I wouldn't call Utd's 15/16 squad brilliant (a lot of good and solid players but only two outstanding players in Pogba and Ibra) but arguably the best squad, yeah. They've made quite a few changes since the start of last season but they're still top three. Agree with that last part.

Now Matic plays for Utd he'll most likely be severely overrated. Matic is not a great player but he's not a terrible player either. At Chelsea he had a tendency of starting well, only to slowly burn out as the season went on. At 29, he's reaching his prime as a holding midfielder though. Would be funny if he went on to reach a new level.

Exactly. The amount of criticism he received last season was ridiculous. He might not have been the star of the league - weak big game performances for a player of his status - but he was fantastic overall. Terrible defending for that goal but Lukaku reacted and finished brilliantly. Striker goal that.

The way he wins possession at times is nothing short of amazing. Sometimes I scratch my head thinking where the hell did he come from. And the timing and technique of his challenges are top-notch. But outside of that, mehh... I hope he proves to be as effective off the ball in the CL. And I hope the excitement of most Chelsea fans regarding Bakayoko turns out to be justified. If not, Europe is gonna be a drag.

Two Ls is a horrible way to start off the season. Do whatever it takes to get at least a point. Not that one out of six points is worthy of praise.

Midtable midfielders can do that. And it's not just passing but ball-playing in general. Ball control, dribbling, shooting, finishing, set-piece taking... decision-making. I thought he was alright overall.

Chels is easily 20-30% weaker without Hazard. Appreciate him while he's still here.

I've compared him to Torres since his Juve days and I'll keep saying it. Especially how they both love running into traffic.

English representation is the only thing I can think of. Never should've been a starter for Chelsea. Now he's captain. As a squad player, he would've been appreciated by the majority of fans in his entire time at Chelsea. I just hope this is the end of the Gary experience.
