Nice. Don't know how far Chels will go but some good battles in Europe regardless. Will be very interesting to see how Chelsea will fare against Atletico and Roma as I honestly how good this team is outside the PL.
-
I hear Nsync music in my head when I see him.
-
That was horrible. And I don't care. Now to soak in the hate.
-
Beautiful, beautiful man with the '01 boyband hair. Bless you, son.
-
They have more quality but they sure don't know how to bring a win home like Chels. Chels love a good struggle init, haha. Forever underdogs.
-
He really wasn't. Bringing on fresh legs up top made sense as Spurs were looking shaky. It's a shame but it's not his fault. As in, he's not to blame for this. He's had plenty of good moments coming of the bench as well. GOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK SPURS.

10 min left. Come on, steal a win. A corner, a free-kick, an intervention from The Avengers, the Hand of Buddha. Anything
-
Mehh, it was coming. It's a shame it had to fall like that but I'm not gonna blame the lad. Fuck.
-
The way that guy would transform Chelsea's midfield play. Never happening, sadly.
-
Morata's not much of a target man init? Not that I didn't know that already but this is painful. No point in long balls and punts forward but I guess the defenders and midfielders can't do better. If only Chels had a greater appreciation of technique and composure.

Willian is killing me. I like mans but when he kills attacks with regularity like that I just wanna slap the taste outta his mouth.
-
People will tell you he's good there though.I just don't get it. It was necessary today but he's never a midfielder.
-
Chels need to assert more control. If not, I can't see them holding on to this lead. This physical approach also seems to be very exhausting. Can't see them keeping this up for 90 min. Credit to Conte for making some changes. It was necessary and has improved Chelsea's chances today. Thank God for Courtois' form today. Great goal Alonso. Hoping for the best. Come on, Chelsea. Win would be huge today.

For me, Suarez was one of the top three players in the league in 12/13. easily. He was an all-round attacking threat. Back then he was still pretty quick, highly energetic and a problem with his dribbling and ability to create for his team mates (he was still selfish though). He also scored 23 goals in 33 apps that season. He made his name as one of the top strikers around that season. Especially when you look at the quality behind him. But it was his first top class season. The question was whether he could repeat it. He also had his rep against him. He went on to do even better.
-
Suarez scored 54 goals in 66 league apps in 12/13 and 13/14. I just had to correct you there. But please, continue.
-
Well, if players truly experience such feelings to move yet remain in the same league, I hope Pogba will want to join Chelsea in one or two years.
-
Hmmm... athletes are natural competitors. I have trouble believing a seasoned pro like Matic didn't think he could keep a young nobody like Bakayoko (let's be honest, he's a nobody at top level) on the bench. So you move up north? A true change indeed, Jason. Most would consider that move a downgrade in terms of scenery.
-
Let's assume this is true for a moment. What makes a starter of the champions all of a sudden decide to join a rival? Either someone told Matic he wouldn't be playing as much or he was offered a significant pay rise. Or maybe Nemanja's a cold, calculating individual who expected Utd to surpass Chelsea.
-
What? Where in my post does it say Conte agreed to or approved the sale. I said the club sold him.
-
The money was too good to turn down for the club. I think I even read Conte saying the same. Letting Matic go would not have been a problem if a quality replacement(s) was brought in. That's the problem.
-
My compliments to Utd. That was brilliant. Pogbaaaaa. Middlefinger to the world with that performance. If only he played for a different team.
-
The focus of the Chelsea operation has obviously shifted to generating funds. It's been a slow transition since around 2010. Fans would be wise to adjust their expectations to this new reality. We'll see what goals the club will set after the new stadium has been erected.
-
Horrible squad management. Even worse than the summer of 2015. Chelsea were stagnant that summer but now they've actually made the squad weaker. A little over two weeks left and Chelsea need four players. It's gonna take an almighty job to manage that. And getting four quality players would be a miracle.
-
Imagine either Kanté or Bakayoko getting injured and needing three months to recover. Chels would be fucked. We also have no idea how Bakayoko will adapt. Relying on Baka and Kanté for a full season would be insanity if you ask me. I like Roberto but as a complimentary player. Play him alongside class footballers and he'll do just fine. Excellent squad player. Don't think he's suited to the PL though.
