Well said brother!!!

Our wages have stayed pretty much constant throughout the decade. Despite that, we had a team who fought till the end, never gave up and gave their all compared to the bunch of sissies we have currently. RLC earning 60k per week means nothing. He has shown his potential and was our best player by a light year against the Cl semi-finalist. I have to ask, how did simeone find his squad despite selling the likes of Costa. Is it because he actually trusted youth players like Koke and saul and has made them into world beaters? Is it because he bought young talents like Jimenez and sold the likes of miranda instead of continously loaning him or putting him on the bench like we did with Zouma. If this ATM is simeone's team then this chelsea is Jose's team. Oscar, costa, cesc, matic etc etc are all "his" buys/favourites picked over better/players with more potential. Now you would say Jose wanted stones and pogba but since he did not get them it was the board's mistake and this was not jose's team. Well, if a manager requires 150 million pounds of investment every year to not be one point above relegation in december then well, he is not worth it. Anyways, I digress. The "tired" excuse just does not sit well with me. Teams in the championship have to play 44 games just in the league. Then they have Carling cup and Fa cup. Players year in and year out keep playing. If a 28 year old cesc cant motivate himself or a 24 year old oscar cant, then they can fuck off. You are at your peak at that age. You should be looking to win everything that comes your way. If they dont, then its because they have a shitty mentality. Dont try to pass that off as "tiredness"

Players all around the world are doing this. Our football for a year and a half has been shit on a stick football. Our players look lethargic and unenergetic to say the least. Watch ATM play or BVB or spurs to know how much effort they put into the game. How much would those players be training to reach the condition to play the way they do. Chelsea players even talking about "burnout" should be lynched in public.

"They are tired" Doing what? Standing on the pitch while watching Kdb glide past them? Or sitting injured for the last 2 months? Or sitting on the bench/reserves to someone like Mikel. Just hope we sell the lot.

Will the academy eventually help us dominate English football?
chelseafan26 replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Could not get to read those posts/comments/twitters as I have never been on one of those things. My answer to your question in one word : NO. I watch our youth quite regularly and we have some absolute Gems in their. But I dont think the problem is about "talent". At the youth level, "talent" can win you everything, literally. But our failure has been in integrating youth into the first team. Using the talent along with the money. I respect Jose for all that he has done for us, BUT, he was the worst person to bring in IF the club were actually looking at integrating the youth. Sure, Jose said a lot of things about creating a dynasty, about young horses, about solanke and so and so getting to play at England, but the actual work that he put into making those promises come true was 0 if not negative (looking at how he dealt with Musonda). Jose does not trust youngsters and never will. He had trouble trusting and giving oppurtunities to a 21 million pound signing, our youth players never ever stood a chance. Anyways, I digress. Jose is/was only a part of the problem. Main problem is the fact that Roman has no patience, our board/management has no clue about how to go about integrating a youth player. Even Bayern went a couple of years without winning the Bundesliga and look at them now. It might also be a mental block. We have never seen a youth player make it big here under Roman. Maybe, just maybe, we just need that one win and then we actually start trusting the youth and giving them real roles in the squad. Honestly, I think this season will be critical. We have SO much deadwood and not good enough players that its SHOCKING. I hope we actually sell the likes of Oscar, Pedro, Mikel, Cesc, Cahill, Iva and get the youth IN while also getting some key signings. RLC next year will be pivotal. I honestly hope Conte has big plans for him rather than 2 minutes in CL dead rubbers. -
Why would we even care about (b) players. The only players that should be playing are the ones that are going to stay in the club and actually want to play. Playing youth with unmotivated wankers is the worst thing you can do to their development.
-
We dont need to. Believe me. We can put in our "best team" and get raped at the bridge 3-0. Oh wait, thats been done already.
-
Rlc - Matic - Colkett. A dream, nothing more.

"It's always hard to lose at home. We came into the game with the aim to win and, like I say, it's hard, but we have to pick our heads up and go again because we've got another game soon." "It's a tough mental challenge playing in any Premier League game, but especially against big teams like Man City. I'm always growing, particularly any time I'm outside my comfort zone, so I look forward to big games like this." "Aguero has great ability and we saw that. He's got blistering pace and that's where we got done, on the counter-attack. It was a good experience for me to play against players like that. I am looking forward to playing more." "We will go back to the training ground, put this behind us and train hard to try and get to our top level and hopefully give our best in those games. I'm sure we are all going to try and win them." -Ruben Loftus-Cheek; Source: Chelsea FC You are a 20 year old and watch the senior players of the team simply give up match after match, how do you think that impacts such youngsters like RLC, Kenedy, Traore. I just hope this week is a statement of intent by the club on how to deal with deadwood and freeloaders at the club.

Survey - who should we keep and who should we let go?
chelseafan26 replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Depends on Roman and the board, what expectations they would have off conte. Also, I think, it wont just be changes in personnel, but also change in formation, tactics and hopefully everything A to Z. What's more is that, we Need it. Also, I dont necessarily buy into "gradual change being the best way" that jose adopted. Our best option will be to play our best players. And i think azpi-ake is our best combination. -
Cant Stop Laughing. Also Seems about right.
-
And we still wont have any "youth" players playing a meaningful part next season. SHAME!!!! Whats the point. Ps - By youth I mean actual players developed by and from the academy. Kenedy is a multimillion signing, as is baba and zouma.
-
I agree he does not fit in a 2 man mid, does cesc. Yet we keep committing suicide game after game. Conte played 3-5-2 at juve, hopefully he can prove as flexible here. We used to play 4-3-3 with RLC. For example,, the 2013-14 youth cup finals against fulham had Houghton playing defensive midfield with colkett and RLC completing the 3. Dont think he has played any youth games after that. I may be wrong or mis-remembering though.
-
Simple solution - a 3 man midfield. Get cesc out. Get Kante and Radja. And trust in RLC. He might not have cesc's 1 in 100 excellent long ball ratio, but he can make short successful passes, can drive forward as well as see a good pass. He has performed at a solid 7/10 for me in the oppurtunities he has got. He was a level (if not levels) over any of his teammates against a CL semi-finalist. The signs are all there. He has it in him to be a world beater. What he needs is trust from his managers and the fans. If we give him half the oppurtunities that we have given to the likes of OSCAR, he will go on to be a Chelsea Legend.
-
Actually cant believe what I am reading. Atleast most of the 42,000 SB going fans thought he was very good on the day and definitely has the potential of being a part in our next season. Compared to rest of the team, RLC was on a different level.
-
Would still perform better than the current crop of shitards.
-
Begovic Azpi Jake-Clarke-Salter JT Baba Matic RLC Kenedy Willian Traore Costa No pedro, no Oscar, no cesc, no mikel, no Iva, no GC. Out of the players who are fit or not suspended, I would only like these to stay here next season. Rest can fuck off.
-
We have not scored for 2 games and I can not remember a moment of "creativity". Yesterday his only "creative" moment was a 40 yard ball to costa which otamendi let bounce and either of costa/pedro should have scored. Except for that can you remember him completing simple passes? Just look at the way Kdb ran past him. Do we really need such handicaps? Not for me.
-
The same can be said of mikel adding to the team defensively while having hopelessly glaring attacking deficiencies. My point being, IF you copy and paste everything that you wrote in your first post and post it in the cesc thread, you would be hitting the nail on the head. Dont get me wrong, I am not supporting Mikel here, just that the same reasons that people want mikel to be sold should be applied to others too. Mikel, cesc, pedro, oscar - to name a few.

Mate, Ben arfa and Hazard have similar strengths and weaknesses. Does not mean you treat Ben arfa like a Hazard. You need tactical Nuance to play as a DM. You need discipline and defensive positioning. Cesc has none of these attributes. And while pirlo might not be an engine/B2B, he knew how to put in a tackle. Can Cesc? IF, we even try to play cesc in pirlo's juve role, we will get slaughtered. -

Hmmm.. not sure mate. Depends. Is he good enough to be a 3rd striker? Would he benefit more from a season out on loan or with the 1st team getting 500 minutes (maybe) all season. I guess in that case we can rather have Bamford. Not sure. -

The point is, without CL/EL/European competitions, The team wont be strecthed too much. I would love it if traore had the sub/2nd striker role rather than sitting with the reserves all season long. -

I seriously think traore is good enough. We should not make the same mistakes we made with lukaku. -
Not sure if Mikel or Fabregas!!!

I dont think thats the case with Musonda. He was one of the best talents in the world and left out of our squad. Not even given an oppurtunities in dead rubbers by Jose. So of course he wanted out. Kids like him would need a manager to trust them and play them every now and again. I think conte will. As for cuadrado, he is a chelsea player. his contract runs out with juve as it was for a year. if we want, we can make him sit in the reserves. I simply dont buy into this Jose philosophy of selling every player who wants to leave. If we had held on to luis/kdb/lukaku, where would we be. I would like this squad Tibo(Bego) Azpi(Aina) Zouma(Andreas) New CB(Youth player) Ake (Baba) Radja(RLC) Imbula(Baker) Vidal(Musonda) Willian (Cuadrado) Costa (Traore) Hazard (Kenedy) Midfield needs a complete Revamp. I know Vidal is highly improbable. In that case, I am sure the club will have a plan B (hopefully its not someone of hector's quality). But for me, we need 3 quality midfielders and a quality CB to begin with.
