Do you actually think Cesc has half the technical qualities or even know-how of playing the DM role? Their one thing to "cover" for his lack of physicality and his lack of legs in the midfield. Irrespective of that he himself will have to do a "defensive" shift playing the DM in a 3-man midfield. Which includes tracking runners, understanding the defensive part of the game etc etc. I would love playing against this team. Absolutely Love it. I can already see the likes of Stoke and WHU countering us by continously targetting Cesc positional awareness as well as the same of Zouma and Manolas (really?. rather have Andreas and/or Cahill for another season). You can literally imagine Payet and Arnautovic rubbing their hands in glee seeing cesc's name in the DM position. I think people have the mentality that things simply cant go any worse the next season. Try Playing with Cesc as a DM (even with Vidal and Radja to "cover" for him) and we have a worse season on our hands. And not because we sold our future or not because the board did not spend the money, but simply because we trusted the most important position on the football field to the worst suited man possible. I am going to pray and hope that Conte simply is not thinking along the same lines as yours. Honestly, I will be devastated.

You do not need to tell me this mate. The only difference being, we had a team and a bunch of players who were good enough to play and "fight" for the club and the shirt. Their motto was to WIN for the club, rather than stop Spurs from winning the title. This team is a joke when playing against a good team. Just a week ago, we got dismantled in front og my own eyes against a team who are playing particularly well themselves. Just saw a stat saying that city have had same amount of points as stoke if you take out the first 5 gameweeks where they had 15 points. Yet, the gulf of class between us and city could have been seen from the moon. So while I will shout my self hoarse supporting the team, I for one wont be taking any expectations along with me only to be disappointed.

I am sorry but you seem to be contradicting yourself. Cesc with the likes of Mikel, Matic (other slow midfielders) is a shambles. We need atleast 2 defensively GREAT and mobile midfielders to compensate for cesc, which would cost us another 60-100mil pounds. Hence, why keeping Cesc actually makes none to little sense at the club.

And against City too. Or Psg. Arsenal was the exception, not the Norm.

Calling someone Gutless is the same as calling someone an asshole. Mate, stop being a drama queen. Its good to support, but not when the management takes one wrong decision after another. Nope. Their was a lot of groaning and muttering at the bridge. I hope him and the players get booed massively at the Bridge. That too against Spurs. That would show them. We have given the club all the support that they could ask, but this line up is beyong awful. So glad i did not make the trip.

After today's line up, I honestly hope he puts in transfer request. Kid your dream of being a lampard wont be possible because you will be dropped for players who have a higher market value. I love this kid, and hopefully he leaves before we ruin his career.
