Did Mourinho saw Ivanovic decline also? If he did he would have given Flipe Luis an opportunity to play on the opposite side of Azpi. I didn't think that happened even once.
-
Rob Beasley is trying to shift the blame from his buddy Mourinho onto the board. Nothing to see.

Medics have no obligation to the manager and the tactical side, their obligation is the players health. That is not a interpretation of their job description, it is a stated truth.I would like you to consider what happened with Fabrice Muamba who suffered a cardiac arrest during a game, and Piermario Morosini who died during a match. Ultimately Medics are aware of these rare cases, a prompt response could be the difference between life and death. Preventing such incidents should be avoided at all cost.

Success can come in many different personality. There is no one single personality for success. Look at the top footballers in the world, they all differ. I can find other faults in Oscar, this isn't one. You prefer KDB personality that is fine.
-
Tell me why do you think Mata or KDB would have been unaffected and made a difference while almost every player is underperforming and look like a shadow of themselves? Tell me how would they they helped in conceding less goal, since that is our biggest problem? How certain are that Mou would even start them and get playing time?
-
Actually a bargain for Juventus, he has been incredibly good for them. 16m is quite a small sum for arguably their best player.
-
You think if the situation was reversed, Mata or KDB would have done better at the moment?
-
They were regularly knocked out by Lyon in early knockout stage before Mourinho arrived.
-
What you think Mourinho is done at top football clubs?
-
Some cant def, there will be need of a transition of a few players no matter what. But Sampaoli is def my ideal manager, I think few realizes how impressive his work at Chilie been. He has turned Chilie to one of the best international sides, and they play like a big side enforcing their style on the opposition. That is unique when you consider most managers have over performed with a reactive approach ex: Simeone, Mourinho, etc. Over performing with a small side and playing proactive is a rarity.
-
imo he is as good as any manager in the world.

Thoughts on maybe replacing the MOTM voting with playing ratings(1-10) on the match day thread? I think it is much more fun and more discussion worthy

I feel most Chelsea fans that support Mourinho is due to insecurity. As we know since Roman toke over, a campaign has raged on against us by our rivals calling our beloved club "plastic". A great deal of Chelsea fans are clearly affected by this label. It is no wonder such label is threatened by so many around here. I have lost count how many times Mou zealous backers have called others "plastic" or use the phrase "no wonder they call us a plastic club" for wanting the best for the club. Look how much flake Rafa got when he was a Chelsea manager, just because he might have called us a plastic club when he was a pool Manager. Such comments should have been brushed off, moved on and supported the club after he was appointed. Like many club I believe do so. We shouldnt allow such insecurity and fear control us, that is what our rivals want. Sentiment aside, it should be clear to anyone that Mou is not the right manager for Chelsea. A lot of excellent posts have already been posted on such reasons already.

You think so? Cause I am not sure, if he is going to be sacked anytime soon it will come after the Stoke game.
-
What year are you referring to?
-
Nothing really changes the fact. not trying to justify their performances. But it is ironic to call players passengers when our whole approach is exactly that. It is not a empowering approach, it does not bring out the best mental state.
-
It is funny calling Hazard and Oscar passengers.....when our whole approach is quite frankly is a passenger approach. Do we really look like a team that is trying to win possession and increase our lead?
-
You know you are awful when Coutinho scores against you....sigh

WILLIAN style fits grinding out result and playing on the counter though, that is why he is performing well compared to others and that is why Ramires is also having a revival. That is no coincidence. His best moments have come in set pieces and in transition on the counter. What does he do when he is one on one against a defender? attempts a step over and back pass to Ivanovic/Zouma. His biggest weakness and determent to play on a attacking team is awful movement off the ball, when the ball is not at his feet on a attacking series he is like a statue, he doesn't offer much as a viable receiver of a pass. All that said I am greateful for Willian, can't fault his performance this season compared to others. I wonder what does people think of Riyad Mahrez and hakan calhanoglu?
-
Lol at WILLIAN being one of the best performing players in Europe. He is giving 6.5-7 type performances and you some of you are mistakig it for more then that. Only looks good because everyone looks shit. With that out of the way I like Teixeira he is more similar to Mkhitaryan then Costa though.

Gab Marcotti reported earlier that there is a exit clause in Mourinho contract. Could be after 2 years or 3 years, we don't know there could be many other clauses in the contract. But Godzola is right it is naive to assume that Chelsea have not done anything to mitigate their risks. Especially ones other managers had in their contract. I personally think Mourinho contract is a factor to a degree but not to the extension most are making it out to be. There is many at Chelsea that probably still believes in Mourinho. You can not deny Mourinho record, he is one of the most successful manager ever and he did win a double last season. There is also the sentimental aspect, possibly he is very respected and liked by the majority of the board. I think it is false to believe that if Mourinho was going to be sacked he would have been already. I think he has and will be given every opperunity to turn it around. But he cannot maintain such performances and results sooner or later it has to change. Because I think the board will not make a change until their hand is forced. I think If he was going to be sacked it will come after the stoke game, I think the international break presents a sufficient opportunity to make a change. I personally would not be surprised if he is given until January. But then again who knows the Liverpool might be his last game, but I doubt it.
-
Making a youth argument for keeping Mourinho? That is hilarious
-
Alright...so how do you decide which game to buy and which game to pass on?
-
What's wrong with calling this guy average?that is perry much a neutral statement and slightly positive, considering he was not even highly rated and unknown among regular Ligue 1 followers.
-
I have noticed(for a while tbh) that both Nat Chalobah and Josh MacEchran have younger brothers coming through Chelsea. How good are they, how do they compare to their older siblings?
