I stated this in the summer that Lukaku should stay at Inter, he is at a place performing at a high level and adored by inter fans, he stays there for long time he would go down as a Inter legend. After your playing career the special connection you make with a particular club is the only thing that matters. Ego and greed got the best of him, you can coin a flip to argue who made a bigger mistake Chelsea or Lukaku.

We are no closer to fighting for PL than last season.

No chance imo, we still had issues creating and scoring goals from our forwards. And we were on pace to shatter the best defensive record in PL history and that was not sustainable.

What is our style? Which players we have signed beside Lukaku is an obvious poor fit, what are players that would be a good fit? I do not think our attack get better with Tuchel, I have seen enough to know he poorly utilize his attacking players. Not saying they are world beaters. That is why I think we should prioritize Haaland, type of talent that can overcome Tuchel shortcomings.

we have spent more money than City at this point, and the gap is significant. Last thing we need is Spurs and Arsenal level players. I have seen a couple Napoli game, he looks decent but will look subpar against better athletes.

Eww, we need to stop paying for subpar players where we put them on high wages and eventually have difficulty selling them.

We don’t need one If we play 4 at the back, Sarr can play the conservative LB which basically forms a back 3 while the RB pushes forward.

This is the best formation for the current team that is lacking 2 Wing backs.

I am watching Lukaku, and I am wondering how anyone can think he was worth purchasing. Can @Jype @Stats @Special Juan you guys help? Since you guys were so aggressively in favor of it and calling out anyone for disagreeing.

We don’t create enough big chances compared to other top teams. Adding Lukaku has expedited the system weakness.

Losing to Villa, Arsenal, West Brom(lol), and draw against Brighton toward the end of the season was quite bad. Without that CL victory him staying here longer than six months would have been questioned. Nah his system is very unfriendly for attacking players. PSG had the same problem, how it was basically give the ball to Neymar and Mbappe let them create. pep and Klopp consistently squeeze more out of their attackers. On the other hand Tuchel has squeezed a lot more out of his defenders at Chelsea.

Tuchel system has serious issues, with and without Lakuku. He won himself a lot of goodwill with CL final victory, if that game didn’t go our way we would have talked about the FA final loss, how he did everything to squander top 4 finish and that he needed help from Spurs to luck our way to a top 4.
