We keep talking about Tuchel type players, but in reality only 1 player has been really pushed out and that was Tammy. Lukaku and Ziyech are forcing themselves out. Anyway things are going so freaking slow, and I am not talking about buying players. There doesn’t seem to be any news on some of our deadwood that need to go.

What is there to screw up at the CB situation? It is going throw a major rebuild anyway; we lost Rudi and AC, Azpi is not good enough anymore, the fact we saw Sarr so much makes greatly question Tuchel ability and flexibility. The goal is the team, not prolonging a 38 year old CB.
-
Jorginho was the preferred choice for both Klopp and Pep before he came with Sarri, he is a fine player which every important manager rates including Tuchel. what is 3 different managers players, what exactly is a Tuchel type player?
-
Well Lampard had his own obvious tactical issues. I am not very optimistic unless Tuchel evolves, if we sign new attackers next summer we will be crying how we should get rid of him and sign new ones. It is just not tactics, but also how quickly he changes the front three.
-
How come people are willing to admit that Tuchel system cover up a lot of defenders deficiencies yet are unwilling to admit that his tactics are an issue for why our attackers struggle.
-
Hmm I actually think it is an appropriate signing for a team without CL. Jesus is not good enough to lead a line for CL club.
-
Declan Rice is the midfield version of Lukaku, what a waste of money that would be.
-
EPL has become what it has primary due to the money poured in by foreign investors. Roman Abrahomvich has played the biggest role, the league became much more competitive when he arrived; domestically and Europe. It raised everyone level, look at English club success in the CL before Roman and after. The bottom side of the league have played very little In the success of the league. English being pretty much the universal language has also helped the world wide success with viewership. A merit based approach would be my preference, and it is not like they will be starving. It is also not like their chances to compete against the big boys changes.
-
The revenue and viewership Chelsea brings to the league is astonishing higher, no one cares for Brighton football club outside of the city of Brighton. No it doesn’t make sense for both clubs to be paid equally. My viewpoint is based on principle, not looking down on them it just how I feel. I think the clubs that are global brands should not be treated equally with Leeds, Brighton, etc. The small clubs in the PL is the biggest reason why transfer market is so messed up. The revenue and tv rights of the PL has skyrocketed and it has made a lot of lower clubs very fat. The have the financial to compete with some of the biggest club in the world.
-
EPL tv rights and money distribution is primary responsible, equal distribution of money is terrible and it gives lower club a lot of power.
-
I don’t think this is true, Matt Law said Lukaku was not wanting to stay, Tuchel would have give him another opportunity if he was committed.
-
Talent wise it is day and night, I get the Dembele criticism. I rather have him than a player I don’t think upgrades over our current players. Truth be told unless Tuchel changes his tactic to be more friendly toward our attackers we will be here next summer wanting the same signings out. Rinse and repeat.
-
I don’t get the Raphinha hype, he is way below Dembele and Sterling for me.
-
Lukaku is a proven commodity and at his best is much more valuable than Baka, and the demand for proven strikers is much higher. I do t see any reason why Lukaku couldn’t get back to his best at Inter. He will be much more demanded next summer. a two year loan wouldn’t have made much sense, that would have been ideal for Inter.
-
No point of selling Lukaku at this point or worrying about an obligation to buy, it is best to send him on loan where he can recoup some of his market value.
-
I think it is much worse when you realize and admit your mistake after one season, also Torres signing was much better without hindsight. You may view Torres fans as toxic, but in Lukaku case he is himself is toxic which is why he is being shipped out despite a 100m loss lol. If Lukaku had the same attitude as Torres, Tuchel would give him much more opportunity.
-
He is not needed, no place in current formation, if we were to change formation Mount would be favored.
-
He has been at the club since he was 8 years old, so its tough.
-
Why do people want Jesus? He is reserve quality, we are only aiding City in upgrading. Not enough blames is going around Tuchel regarding Lukaku, he convinced Lukaku to move to Chelsea according to the player himself. Let’s also not forget he froze out Tammy, who provides much more to the team.
-
120m down the drain, @Tomo. Still sticking with Torres being a worse transfer?
-
Lukaku was their best player, and he is nowhere near Chelsea quality. What are on about? I would not want any of Inter player, only if it gets rid of Lukaku I would take.
-
Lol why did this thread became a England NT thread? Anyway I think it is nuts to sign a player that can’t pass a physical.
-
4-2-2-2 is much more likely than 4-3-3.
-
Lukaku is the worst, because the idiots at Chelsea already saw him fail at United just two years ago. Do you know how bad it is to make the same mistake when you had the luxury of that? What is worse he already played at Chelsea, so you had more than enough info. I always say hindsight is 20/20, it was so obvious that this was going to end in epic failure that is worst part of it. 115m just down the drain, you couldn’t spent your money any worse.

Pulisic fits Klopp system to a t, Mane and Salah would be nowhere players they are without Klopp.
