  1. we have spent more money than City at this point, and the gap is significant. Last thing we need is Spurs and Arsenal level players. I have seen a couple Napoli game, he looks decent but will look subpar against better athletes.
  2. Eww, we need to stop paying for subpar players where we put them on high wages and eventually have difficulty selling them.
  3. We don’t need one If we play 4 at the back, Sarr can play the conservative LB which basically forms a back 3 while the RB pushes forward.
  4. This is the best formation for the current team that is lacking 2 Wing backs.
  5. They need to bitch publicly and how they rather be at another club, maybe then Tuchel will play them.
  6. I am watching Lukaku, and I am wondering how anyone can think he was worth purchasing. Can @Jype @Stats @Special Juan you guys help? Since you guys were so aggressively in favor of it and calling out anyone for disagreeing.
  7. I wonder when we will hear the deranged conspiracy theory that the board are forcing Lukaku on Tuchel?
  8. We don’t create enough big chances compared to other top teams. Adding Lukaku has expedited the system weakness.
  9. Losing to Villa, Arsenal, West Brom(lol), and draw against Brighton toward the end of the season was quite bad. Without that CL victory him staying here longer than six months would have been questioned. Nah his system is very unfriendly for attacking players. PSG had the same problem, how it was basically give the ball to Neymar and Mbappe let them create. pep and Klopp consistently squeeze more out of their attackers. On the other hand Tuchel has squeezed a lot more out of his defenders at Chelsea.
  10. Tuchel system has serious issues, with and without Lakuku. He won himself a lot of goodwill with CL final victory, if that game didn’t go our way we would have talked about the FA final loss, how he did everything to squander top 4 finish and that he needed help from Spurs to luck our way to a top 4.
  11. Werner said I can think of many examples. Kante,Jorginho, Werner, etc. Barca and Madrid tend to get their pick, but that is mainly due to the wages they offer and that has caught up to them with the financial mess it has caused for them. We have done well against other English teams.
  12. How much is that has to do with the managers though? Only Sarri prided himself in attacking football. If we want to change this trend then we need a manager who brings more competency in the attack. we also sold two of the best players in the last ten years in Salah and KDB.
  13. Brighton did the same when we last played them.
  14. They way Brighton LB and RB bombing forward it doesn’t matter, they outnumber us.
  15. You are saying this in hindsight, but with Lukaku it was predictable.
  16. We sold Morata to Alti with most of the money recouped, Sheva flopped but his failure was not predicted. Most importantly my argument is based on how Lukaku was bad signing from beginning not in hindsight. Man U already made the mistake of signing him, few years later we reinforced the argument yeah he is not cut out for a top side in England.
  17. Or given Abraham an opportunity, worst case scenario Tammy still will work hard without the ball and does not completely mess up your system. You are not 115m poorer and still peruse the big fish next summer. Lukaku is the worst Chelsea signing ever, mainly because it was very predictable.
  18. Honestly I am tired of signing average players for the sake of buying, this squad is full of them. Wait until the summers buy quality. Tuchel needs to get his shit together, there is no rule that he has to play Alonso and Azpi. That is on him, he doesn’t need to play 3-4-3. If he is stupid enough to persist without the players that is on him and I can’t wait until he is sacked.
  19. It didn’t work because of other reasons.
  20. Easy, play all 3. That is what a good manager does. I think all 3 are one of our best players, easy decision when you have Sarr and Alonso in the starting lineup.
  21. It says a lot about Tuchel how he has squeezed so much out of Rudigar, Silva, AC, Chalobah, Azpi(LCB), etc. heck what he has done with Sarr is quite amazing, he was struggling in Portugal and couldn’t get minutes there, and Tuchel has made him serviceable, on the flip side he has done terrible job with our attackers, his system is very much at fault. Our attackers are way too isolated and left without options, let’s compare that to City. Where they have LB/RB overlapping and Bernardo and KDB through midfield.
  22. Disagree, the way Chillwill and Reece were scoring was not sustainable. Their goals were a big reason for our good start. I disliked the Lukaku signing as much as anyone, and no doubt we are better without him but forward plays continue to be a big challenge with or without him.
  23. I see people consistently shitting on every attacking player, but at point does Tuchel get blame for it? I just have a hard time believing out of Havertz, Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech, Mount, CHO, etc you can get even one solid reliable contributor.
  24. No I tend to think most people are predictable, but starting Sarr against City is another level.
