  1. That is an important factor in transfer value of a player though.
  2. Yeah how much does he cost? 17m is not enough compensation for Jorginho since a replacement would be extremely expensive.
  3. Who would we target to replace Jorginho?
  4. 100m probably get us Koubabily and Skriniar, and they are both comfortably better than De ligt.
  5. Not usually my position, i get it and usually no hard feeling if we are not a players first choice. But in this case i can’t accept it. Barca is a shit show, they have ways to go before being back as one of europes elite. I prefer Dembele, he can take over a game that Raphinea wishes in his dream. All this talk about Dembele attitude problem, Xavi is pushing Barca the hardest to resign him.
  6. If Ake is costing in the 50m region, it is much better to go after Kounde then a guy who has struggled to get playing time on a team we are trying to catch up on.
  7. Our roster much more suited to a back 4 with Rudi, AC, and Dave pretty much nowhere the player he once was. Only player that really benefits from a 3CB is Silva who will be 38 at the start of next season, at his age rotation is probably the best he can handle.
  8. Dembele wage demand is really not that high, he was on 11m and Barca are offering 6m.
  9. Most serie A fans i know don’t rate De ligt especially for the price Juve is asking.
  10. Good points, but I was talking in general how posters here mention how this squad doesn’t fit what Tuchel wants and there seem to no to little indication what player he wants in and out are.
  11. We keep talking about Tuchel type players, but in reality only 1 player has been really pushed out and that was Tammy. Lukaku and Ziyech are forcing themselves out. Anyway things are going so freaking slow, and I am not talking about buying players. There doesn’t seem to be any news on some of our deadwood that need to go.
  12. What is there to screw up at the CB situation? It is going throw a major rebuild anyway; we lost Rudi and AC, Azpi is not good enough anymore, the fact we saw Sarr so much makes greatly question Tuchel ability and flexibility. The goal is the team, not prolonging a 38 year old CB.
  13. Jorginho was the preferred choice for both Klopp and Pep before he came with Sarri, he is a fine player which every important manager rates including Tuchel. what is 3 different managers players, what exactly is a Tuchel type player?
  14. Well Lampard had his own obvious tactical issues. I am not very optimistic unless Tuchel evolves, if we sign new attackers next summer we will be crying how we should get rid of him and sign new ones. It is just not tactics, but also how quickly he changes the front three.
  15. How come people are willing to admit that Tuchel system cover up a lot of defenders deficiencies yet are unwilling to admit that his tactics are an issue for why our attackers struggle.
  16. Hmm I actually think it is an appropriate signing for a team without CL. Jesus is not good enough to lead a line for CL club.
  17. Declan Rice is the midfield version of Lukaku, what a waste of money that would be.
  18. EPL has become what it has primary due to the money poured in by foreign investors. Roman Abrahomvich has played the biggest role, the league became much more competitive when he arrived; domestically and Europe. It raised everyone level, look at English club success in the CL before Roman and after. The bottom side of the league have played very little In the success of the league. English being pretty much the universal language has also helped the world wide success with viewership. A merit based approach would be my preference, and it is not like they will be starving. It is also not like their chances to compete against the big boys changes.
  19. The revenue and viewership Chelsea brings to the league is astonishing higher, no one cares for Brighton football club outside of the city of Brighton. No it doesn’t make sense for both clubs to be paid equally. My viewpoint is based on principle, not looking down on them it just how I feel. I think the clubs that are global brands should not be treated equally with Leeds, Brighton, etc. The small clubs in the PL is the biggest reason why transfer market is so messed up. The revenue and tv rights of the PL has skyrocketed and it has made a lot of lower clubs very fat. The have the financial to compete with some of the biggest club in the world.
  20. EPL tv rights and money distribution is primary responsible, equal distribution of money is terrible and it gives lower club a lot of power.
  21. I don’t think this is true, Matt Law said Lukaku was not wanting to stay, Tuchel would have give him another opportunity if he was committed.
  22. Talent wise it is day and night, I get the Dembele criticism. I rather have him than a player I don’t think upgrades over our current players. Truth be told unless Tuchel changes his tactic to be more friendly toward our attackers we will be here next summer wanting the same signings out. Rinse and repeat.
  23. I don’t get the Raphinha hype, he is way below Dembele and Sterling for me.
  24. Lukaku is a proven commodity and at his best is much more valuable than Baka, and the demand for proven strikers is much higher. I do t see any reason why Lukaku couldn’t get back to his best at Inter. He will be much more demanded next summer. a two year loan wouldn’t have made much sense, that would have been ideal for Inter.
  25. No point of selling Lukaku at this point or worrying about an obligation to buy, it is best to send him on loan where he can recoup some of his market value.
