Koulibaly is way better than Rudigar.

His wages demand is way too high, he is simply not that good of a player.

Go get koulibaly and plan ahead for summer 2023 recruit other CBs. worst thing is to get desperate and sign a player that will have long term consequences. I have nothing against players that do not want to get vaccinated, but they should be facing wage consequences if they are not able to participate due to their vaccination status.

Sometime the real winner is when you don’t sign the players. 75m for Raphinha and 90m for De Ligt is an absolute joke.

Don’t agree, we get our share of players. We just need to chose more wisely. Raphinha agreed terms with Barca months before the transfer window even opened. You can’t always get who you want, but we have enough to assemble a squad that can compete with the best. That is ultimately all you can ask for.

Tomori considered the better CB between him and De Light, I would imagine Milan would be asking for so much more than 50. I actually really like Guehi potential, the complete package. Very good with the ball at his foot too. England international and just turning 22 later this month. Linked with Spurs this summer, he will go for insane fee no doubt.

what is worse is selling Tomori and Guehi.

All the comments from City that wants to keep him are from the perspective of being 4th choice CB and backup LB. If we are signing him as a sub, okay whatever I am on board even though the money is a lot.

Compare Rudigar with Germany and the one with the club.

Under Tuchel the team defends and press much better as a team, and playing with 5 at the back with an extra CB gives the CB less area to cover. They didn’t improve, it was other factors and less responsibility improved. Do I expect Ake to play better at Chelsea? If we plug him into our current system yes. The goal is to improve and challenge for the title, signing an subpar CB for big money and playing him in a system that covers his weakness is not the way to go.

People need to stop with the narrative that Tuchel improved Rudigar and Christensen.

Only sell if you believe he won’t be Chelsea starting material. Look at Timori and Guehi they would walk in to our starting lineup.

I mean did they improve or was it playing under a manager who defend much better as a team and also playing with an extra CB. same thing under Conte, with Luis and Cahill play. Of course Ake will play better in a more defensive setup.

Chelsea product Sterling is 1.86, from what I have seen he is probably a better fit at RCB, doesn’t have the speed or attack to be effective at WB, but looks sturdy enough to play RCB. I think @Tomo also suggested it, RWB is probably the best fit for Galllagher if we continue with the current formation. Don’t know what took Tuchel so long to play RLC in that role, he is a much better fit at that role then anyone else outside of Reece. Given Gallagher work rate, I think his potential is higher.

I don’t believe spending big on subpar players, that is what they are, and both City and PSG know that. I would gladly take Koulibaly, he is top CB. Marc Guehi didn’t have any PL experience, and he had an exceptional season at Palace. If we are playing playing 3 CB then I am very comfortable with Colwill, I don’t even rate Chalobah and he did very well. The reason Rudigar and Christensen improved under Tuchel is playing in a 3 CB there is more protection and less area to cover.

You know Ake is City 4th choice with plenty health concerns and the French CB is being replaced by PSG.

What is the point of Ake or Kimpembe when we have Colwill?
