lluubbeenn got a reaction from Fulham Broadway in Brentford 2-2 Chelsea
A compact review after sleeping on it. Biggest negatives:
1. The result
2. Too many changes and lack of consistency and understanding in the whole squad
3. Defending as a unit against a physical side
4. Gittens… A bit better after Cucu came on, but nowhere near the level of George even…
Positives:
1. Managing to turn the result around. Was very hyped around the 90th minute how have we grown…
2. Sanchez continues his good form
3. PALMER looked great!
4. Garnacho looked promising.
Not the worst result to get, but very disappointing considering how the game developed. 3 points at Old Trafford and I will not complain about this one 😅

Caicedo missed Ecuador game last night due to injury. Let’s hope it’s something minor 😱

There are almost 3 months to the home game against Barca. There is hope Delap will be back after the next international break or in 6 weeks time. Liam is still alive you know. LOL

I just read the last 5 pages of this forum. The Jackson circus showed how chaotic we can be in the last days of the window, but that deal aside we have had a good to great window. I wouldn't swap our squad with anyone in the league. The lads need our support and a bit of luck(mainly with injuries). We have what it takes to compete. Most of you act like we are fucking Newcastle and have to settle for scraps. Every little thing is gonna be alright, Chelsea!

Only four…. Aaah one goal conceded so far. LOL
We showed a bit of class that second half. Let’s build on this and of course: We are top of the league! 🏆

Would really like to see him at Forest. Still kind of love him for everything he has achieved with us.

It looks a done deal that Simons to Spurs. Feels we backed out of a deal, which is quite strange. Hope we don't regret this one.
If he somehow ends up with us, it will be worth it for the banter alone. LOL

We will play all the teams we beat on the road to our 2012 cl crown in the league phase. Napoli-Benfica-Barcelona-Bayern. Let’s win it again!

As of today if we sell/loan all of Disasi,Gilchrist,Chilwell,Nkunku,George,Sterling,Jackson and Datro Fofana and if we don't count Colwill and the goalkeepers we have 20 senior players. Taking into account the recent history of Wes Fofana, Lavia, Badiashile and James that is quite worrying. If we count Garnacho as done, I think we still need two more bodies in, or risk having very little to choose from on some matchdays. Hope everyone stays fit this time around and we deliver big time, but our last two seasons were severely damaged by injuries and I just don't want to see it happen again...

Team performance - solid but slow and too passive.
Individual:
Sanchez - Not great at distribution, but not bad eighter. Good in the air. Was completely surprised by Eze and saved by VAR.
James - Solid at the back. Some unnecessary fouls, but good distribution over the lines.
Chalobah - solid, too passive on the ball.
Josh - Considering age and experience great, but was shaky on the ball and even though he was dealing with Mateta, he almost never got the first ball against him.
Cucu - Active and everywhere. Playing with a lot of new players showed at times.
Caicedo - a beast as usual
Enzo - very slow and disappointing. Hope he gets into rhythm fast.
Palmer - was pocketed by their midfield. Kudos to Wharton especially. He went wider in the last 15 minutes and was a lot better. Too little too late.
Gittens - Out of sync. Too early to judge him harshly.
Neto - Energetic and active. Not enough real danger.
Pedro - Was lost around their 3 CBs. Couldn't influence the game.
Estevao and Santos - good moments. Quite raw.
Gusto - played too centrally and too little to be effective
Delap - Positive signs. Gives us another option and can be quite useful in these type of games.
Final thoughts - Weren't ready for a game against such a solid team, but with a bit of luck could have gotten the 3 points. They are probably loosing players so our rivals can find them easier to play/win against.

An unnamed Champions League club are keen to sign Sterling. Chelsea will accept a bid of £20m.
🙌🙌
Chelsea are open to offers for Trevoh Chalobah. This is because Fofana is seen as ahead of him and the player himself might decide his future is better served elsewhere. (@SJohnsonSport)

Against the big teams you don’t just need quality, which we definitely have, you also need confidence and belief. You can’t have that when you barely know your teammates. This win against Psg will help a lot. I think we will have both good and bad periods throughout the season, but really hope to get more points of city, arsenal and liverpool, as well as them 3 points at Old Trafford. KTBFFH!

So excluding young players - loans or sales, we have to get rid of:
- Disasi, Veiga, Chilwell, Sterling, Felix, Broja, Chukwuemeka(probably count as a young loan).
Possible/optional departures:
- Chalobah(Hope not), KDH, Nkunku, Jackson
We must buy:
- Cucu cover and another left sided attacker if George doesn't stay to cover LW.
The squad doesn't look too bad. With Pedro and Delap I am ok with keeping eighter of Jackson or Guiu. With 8 games in the CL there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone who deserves it. We don't need luxury players a.k.a. Felix. If we can get Hato and one of Rogers/Fofana/Garnacho we will be ready to go. I know Garnacho gets a lot of hate, but depending on the transfer fee and wages he could be a smart signing. Don't forget he will have Enzo as his Argentinian big bro in London. Champion of the World!! GET IN!!!
