I’d rather have Mudryk than spunking money on Garnacho. That’s how little I rate him.
Shit, I’d take 34 year old retired Hazard over him.

I’m so sick of hearing on here how he isn’t quite good enough yet and better players would bury any miss he has.
The utter nonsense needs to stop. He’s a top forward. Also he does so much off the ball which makes him even more valuable.

Nkunku seems to have lost Maresca's trust entirely for now

Imagine if we bought an elite GK and CB.
We look sharp offensive and we have fecking Felix and Nkunku on the bench and also soon Sancho (I think he is finished in the PL, hope Im wrong on this) who people believe in.
Looking good

What a Deadline day disaster.

Bang average player, happy we didn't blow our load on this guy, we're buying a lot of garbage as it is no need to get another one.

Amazing..
So Osimhen is insanely angry at Napoli but at the same time he doesn't want to accept the contract proposal from us.
Now, be mad at yourself and accept to sit in the stands and watch Papa Conte take care of Lukaku.
You can't eat the cake and keep it at the same time.

Fuck im so disappointed on the Sancho singing.
Feels like when we fooled United to buy Money Mase from us but we got uno reversed this time.

Big chance Sterling can end up as a Chelsea legend when he misses an open goal in last match of the season and Arsenal lose the title.

Doesn't surprise me with Napoli tbh, ultimately let them keep him on his ridiculous wages there and being pushed out for Conte's son.

Have we? It has been a half hearted search at best. Now we're seeing if we can pick up a good deal on deadline day. Club clearly doesn't think it is priority / urgent. Just nice if we can get a good deal.

I watched the first leg of the 2017 FA Youth Cup final on TV. Guardiola was watching from a box. Numerous times he turned away in disgust, hands gesticulating all over the place, at what Sancho had just done. He was behind thick glass so there was no audio, but somebody up there with him was getting an earful. I'm convinced that Sancho's City career ended that day.
I was at Stamford Bridge for the second leg. We blew City away 5-1; a scoreline which flattered them. Sancho was a complete non-entity that night, and Phil Foden had little impact. City's star player was Brahim Diaz who I frequently described back then as the best young footballer in Europe. (That I knew of.)
BTW, James, Chalobah, Guehi, Mount, & Hudson-Odoi started for us. Marcin Bulka and Connor Gallagher were unused subs.

You do realise we are talking about a VO who wants insane money and the Brentford Bettor, Ivan Toney?
I would actually say the Saudi club have saved us from ourselves.

Lmao if the 500k a week is true.
I wouldn’t even give him 250k when he’s unproven in the PL and his injury record.
VO scored 1 more goal in Serie A than Jackson did his first season in the PL.

Seems like no big club really rate David to be honest.
I mean, if he’s as good as some people make him out to be and if he’s available for only 20m why haven’t any big club signed him already?
Crazy wage demands? (Seems unlikely)
Problematic stuff in his backpack?
Or maybe he’s just one of many average strikers playing in France/Germany/Netherlands etc.

And yet, none of us would have to think long about which one to sign given the opportunity.
I always respect accomplishments, but I'm not a fan. I'm also not a fan of Toney. I just happen to think that big club players demand a bit more than that.
I'd rather let Jackson play than acquiring either one for ex; Jackson's biggest shortcoming IMO is mentality, and he's young enough to improve on that. No, he's never going to be a Giroud in the air, that's not him, but he's a good footballer who could still improve and become a great striker, but he's not there yet, IMO.

Last year if you remove penalties, harland only scored 1 more goal than Watkins and he would be the 2nd best goal scorer in the league.

Jackson has already made it at this level.
I look at the whinging on here about a striker and then I watch Villa against Arsenal - and if Jackson had the game Watkins just had most of you would all be saying how Jackson is shit and can't finish, and how we need a proper 9. Yet Watkins on here gets praised as if he is an absolute gun, and saw a lot of people saying they wish we had him.

Young players = You can buy more with potential than finished product
Lower incentive based wages = Easier to send away flops and, with a bit of luck, profit from players with no future aswell.
Long term deals = "We decide when you deserve a new contract"
Selling academy players for PSR = A golden goose
Selling players on higher wages = Making room for more "young players"
Tuchel, Poch, Potter & Maresca all have literally next to nothing in common = Yeah this is really weird.
It's frustrating, I agree.
But I want to see what the outcome of the investigation against the club will be and depending on the punishment, I think we maybe can find the answer there as to why the club is working the way it is working right now.
At the beginning of the new ownership, we bought both young players and "finished" players with high salaries.
But somewhere around the same time it started to be reported that the club had reported wrongdoing under Roman, we started bulking up "young players" with low base salaries.
It might not even be related but it's something I thought about.
Also, I think, even though the opponents' supporters like to laugh about it, signing long contracts with low base salaries and with good bonuses is very smart.
Of course, We can and probably will end up in a mess with a player or two who is not wanted and who does not want to move, but I am fully convinced that the majority of future cases where a player is unwanted and is moved away from the team and the training ground will have an easier time finding a new club if the base salary is "low".
The advantage might be that it will be easier and less risky to take a chance on young players with potential.
I'm no mathematician but somewhere in there there should be a calculation that the club has done and concluded that larger quantity with the potential to become quality will be cheaper than paying for "proven" quality.
Aaaaaaaah fecking hell .. I don't know.... I'm just trying to find some logic and optimism in it all..

Yeah, let PSG buy him. Win, win for everyone. VO gets his mega money, Napoli have space for Lukaku, PSG get a CF that will score in the French league and turn up when it doesn't matter in the CL and we will avoid getting an overpaid CF who has massive questions over the technical side of his game. Jackpot imo.
€40-€45m is fine for Felix if his wages are sub-£100k. For me, he will be fine as a squad rotation player who may kick on a level still. In addition, it means an upgrade to Sterling/Mudryk. So it isn't a complete head scratcher like some of pur transfers.
