1. Is no news good news though? There has certainly been some belt tightening at Chelsea recently and while I agree an overhaul of the squad is needed, it will be damn sight easier for Carlo to persuade Roman to release the cash if are holding the Premier League title, otherwise he could argue he is just throwing good money after bad.
2. He would be a fantastic signing, I really think he could go on to be a true great, he would be the first part of a new generation of brilliant Chelsea players - I'm excited just thinking about it!

4. It can take more than a year for a player to really return to their best after serious injury so I think we have just have to be patient with Joe. Sometimes it is a mental thing as much as physical. But the goal on Saturday should boost his confidence, hopefully he will sing a new deal and we will start to see the best of him again next season.
5. It is an odd decision IMO but it should bring a positive response from him, maybe that is what the coach is thinking. Sometimes players get a confidence boost from being captain and it Spurs them on to better things. Here's hoping it happens to Obi!
6. Premier League football blog Way to go Carlo!!! That's just the attitude we need, lets go at them form the off, without Rooney they are nothing!!! Come on Chelsea!!!!
7. It's perfect news, he will miss United's run in but be fit for the World Cup, that suits me down to the ground!!
8. Agreed I don't want any stars or anything like. I would also like them to go back producing a new kit every 2 years, it is annoying having a new one every year. I used to buy the new kit when it came out but now they are out every season I don't bother.
9. Source: FA Cup football blog Carlo seems sure then!
10. Premier League Football blog previewing the Chelsea game:
11. Patience patience patience!!! Getting rid of ANOTHER coach would be stupid, we can't keep changing the manager every year just becasue he hasn't won us the Champions League. He needs to be given time and the fullabacking of the players, fans and owner.
12. Drogba will always be seen as a Chelsea legend for what he has acheived at the club - for starters he was central to the two Premier League league wins - our first for 50 odd years don't forget. To suggest he won't be a legend because we won't win the Champions League, and that is Terry's fault, is ridiculous. If you are saying that then none of our players are legends in our whole history, becasue we have never won the European cup!!! Strange logic there!
13. source:Premier League football blog A strange appointment and one that suggests he was the only one that wanted the job - plus he was cheap so he didn't cost anything. Still can't see Hull staying up though, unless Dowie's 'honeymoon' period will inspire them to 3-4 wins, which is the minimum they need.
14. He didn't have a bad game against Inter either, you could perhaps argue that he conceded at his near post but it was a good finish by Eto'o so it would be a bit harsh to blame Turnbull. Other than that he did the basics well - that is all you can ask of a 'keeper and it is amazing how many you see who fail to collect crosses of deal with back passes properly.
15. Agreed, it was a simple accident, Terry won't have known he hit someone as there were lots of people banging on his car. If it had been any other player is would have been barely reported but as it's Terry the media go crazy.
16. Champions League article previewing the Chelsea Inter game: I've missed Jose and his quality quotes - don't want him to win on Tuesday though!!
17. It's not a disaster for England as he was merely a squad player (Rooney getting injured would be a nightmare for England)
But it is sad for Becks as it would have been a nice way to bow out. As it is I reckon he would do well to come back at all from this injury, it is a really serious one.
18. He is a god player but I think he is over-valued at the minute, I can see City or Real buying him actually as they are the only ones stupid enough to spend that much money!!
19. Premier League soccer blog It's awful timing, but he does perhaps deserve a shot at the England squad. But should he have been dropped as punishment? It was a nasty tackle after all...
20. Bellamy is such a little s**t, always looking to make sly digs. Yes Terry has made mistakes but Bellamy is in no position to get on his high horse and make judgmental remarks. Idiot.
21. Saw these quotes in this Premier League soccer blog: I thought we had only just got rid of him!! I Personally I always feel a player going back to an old club is a bad idea, especially when they have performed so well in their previous spell. I think he should have a crack at Serie A after Madrid.
22. I know we are on the outside looking in but if I'm sure she would have thought differently about staying with him if he wasn't earning so much money - most women would leave someone if they did what he did (and then tried to cover it up) It's like everything in Terry's life, he always gets what he wants because he is so rich, even women!!
23. It think it has been good management by Carlo by playing Sturridge in the less-pressurised games, which allows him to settle in and gain confidence. It would have been silly to throw him into a huge title match. However given he has scored a few goals already this year I would like to see him play a bit more from now until the end of the season.
