  1. You don't reach a ball by stamping on but with the tip of your foot. And yes you jump over the legs. All players know that and do that. It was very deliberate. Having said that I think he played a very good game as a whole excluding that incident.
  2. that is not even a freaking yellow card......worst officiating i have seen in a while
  3. Good first half. Most team was on. Good to see Oscar getting part of his form back. Willian was really good. Torres didn't seem like he came back from an injury. Good build ups. Should capitalize in the second half
  4. I have been hearing a lot of complaints about Salah. I will try to be as objective as possible.Salah Played 3 games, less than 15 mins against Newcastle, then he played in the 88th min against West Brom and 45 mins in the second half against City (Which the entire team played a very poor match ). In which game exactly did you fully judge Salah and compare him with Moses or Marin or any other player. Not to mention that he transferred to a team with no preseason to get to mix with the rest of the guys, new system, and a different league level compared to the Swiss (with respects to the Swiss league ). I think such conclusion would be ( no offense) very premature. Definitely he has to adjust. Definitely he has to blend more with the rest of the team and establish would people call team chemistry. He can only get that with playtime and since the team is in a very tight spot right, Jose can't afford to take such risks. If I am not mistaken, he said that he was building a new team and Salah true season will be next year. Salah is a great talent but he also has to work hard. Whether he comes through or not, whether he succeeds with Jose or not, whether he becomes a Chelsea standard starter/sub or not is another question. He might succeed or fail, but we can only judge objectively after at least a season or decent amount of game play. I am not a fortune teller and cannot say he will succeed or fail. However, from the games he played against Chelsea and Spurs in the Europa league and the games he played against Chelsea in the UCL I think in my humble opinion that he his a very good promising talent with more than just pace. As far as the bench is concerned, again I would really disagree with you. A proper back up for Hazard will not be on the bench. He will definitely be starting along side with Hazard. Mikel offers certain options for Jose, Ba did not get enough games to be judges adequately, Torres had his ups and downs like Eto. Oscar had his ups and downs, Willian had his ups and downs, Schurrle has been a good replacement and is on the rise, Luiz was did a good job when Terry was out. You look again at the age of the midfielders. They are very young. Not to mention they are very talented and have huge potential. All of them will go through the phase of inconsistency. That is why most players get there best forms and maturity levels at 25/26. Some are exceptions. Pele, Messi Maradona, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo are few of the exceptions. I think patience is key when judging an entire bench or any player whether he is a starter or not. Because in such manner most players will be transferred after half a season. You can also look at the current results of Chelsea. We are on the top of the table. We might win it if we keep our victories and City stumbles in one match. We are more likely to advance in the UCL, where the other top English teams have failed ( with the exception of ManU who still have a chance). This was all done with young players, some of which are new and a new system and a new coach. Chelsea are already winners mate, and with next season people adapting more to each other and adapting more to Jose's system, there are much better chances for silverware than the one we had at the start of this season. After summer's preseason and and additions during that time a proper judgement on those current players should be made, in my opinion, by the end of next season. ( with the exceptions of the veterans who had enough time to be properly judged by Jose).
  5. I missed the first half. Where Hull that bad or just unlucky?
  6. Well we can debate his form with Barca, and I agree he played a very average game tonight but he is not a disgrace mate
  7. ????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. They still had the best players in almost every single position. As far as Alaba is concerned, I totally respect your opinion. I think he his good but I still think there are better players and he is not the best. I feel the same about Dante. By all means they are amongst the top but they are not the best. I am sure you can name more players in those positions that are INDIVIDUALLY better. But hey, still respect your opinion mate
  9. I don't think Boeteng, Dante and Alaba are the best individually. But as far as team work is concerned they have great chemistry and are tactically aware of each others' position.
  10. I guess I explained it poorly with regards to Real Madrid. I was referring to Madrid when they had Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Cannavaro and the rest of the team. Individually they were the best squad at the time. To me a dream team, however they failed with every coach they had, no matter the name of the coach and experience. Barca dominated them. My point is that a great squad with poor management most likel will bring no results because of the players' major ego and expectation that the rest of their teammates would adapt to their style. Lahm is my was always my second favor RB after Micon. I agree with you he hasn't improved under Pepe but again he is a well established player. I don't know if Bayern is less threatening. City and Arsenal suffered in all of their first games against them. When the results didn't mean much in the group stage, Bayern was relaxed and even last night they got what they wanted with minimal effort
  11. You think the defensive line of Bayern is the best individually? with the exception of Lahm ofcourse
  12. Real Madrid have had the best squad for years, and top mangers took over and the results were really poor. If you take Bayern's squad and analyze them individually, I don't think they have the greatest individuals. they sure have some amongst the best but for sure not the majority of the starters. The system that he uses depends really on the team working together as a unit and constantly dominating the midfield are. Creativity is done through players moving without the ball. Ofcourse it helps when you have individual dribbling skills to spice it up but never the less it mainly focuses on team work. I don't disagree with you when you say it is boring cause that is every individual's taste. But I don't see their dominance is entirely because Dortmund dropped ( maybe partially). This system has always proven efficiency under Pepe and they have proven it this year against top European teams. Most likely he would dominate the EPL if he was managing a good club that can buy players ( not the best players but the ones that would fit his system). The only manager I have seen who can counter his strategy is Mourinho who has proved it with Chelsea, Barcelona and Madrid
  13. Absolutely. I totally agree. Pepe's system is all about absolute dominance. The only one who had proven to exploit his system and properly counter is Mourinho. Two tactically brilliant coaches with entirely different systems. But you can also see how both require high work rate and ALOT of commitment from their players
  14. Pepe is actually smart, regardless if the game is enjoyable or not (because that really depends on everyone's taste), his system is very strong and has proven it can get the club a lot of championships. I guess for a fan that is all what matters. It is a different matter for neutrals, they are interested in enjoying a competitive match. But for a Barca fan or a Bayern fan, it is a great system.
  15. This is really strange to me. A young TALENTED player who was performed great in the first half season and dropped in form in the second half SO WHAT? It happens to the most mature players in the world. This is no excuse to THINK of selling him even for 40 mil. Man if managers would sell players for dropping in form , no player would remain in a club for a full season. Be patient he is still developing and with the World Cup he will definitely improve and get more experience.
  16. I think it is better to keep the current formation going. Schurrle's form is getting better. Maybe Willian should start instead of Ramires and keep the rest as they are. Team chemistry is best right now. Salah would make us a look like a man down if he starts. He doesn't have the team chemistry yet in my opinion.
  17. Why are so lost? Bad passing, midfielders out of position and no body is supporting his teammate.
  18. Oh buddy seems like you haven't picked up on the game yet . Iran will continue with its nuclear program no matter what. Realistically speaking, if the reactors don't get blown up then Iran might have its weapon within the next 10-15 yrs. The only thing that could sop Iran is target them militarily but that ain't happening now under Obama. Iran is playing smart and says its nuclear program is for the sake of energy and not for military use. If Iran manages to save energy then it will hold back on oil consumption and being also a large oil producer makes it a potential economic threat. The U.S would love to take that away but right now they cannot rally the public opinion or the international community to strike Iran. Iran is not like Iraq or Afghanistan. Iran is going to be hell, true HELL.Similar situation to Ukraine, neither does the U.S nor its allies can economically afford a war or a strike at the mean time. Nor do they have the excuse to strike Iran since that Iran is complying well with the International Atomic Energy Agency and maneuvering politically well. So there will be no attention at the mean time, but soon the topic will open again when the U.S is ready. War requires money and make tons afterwards. When the negative public image of Iraq and Afghanistan is removed and when a scenario that makes Iran seem like a major international threat, you will see a strike. Unless another country makes a move to strike Iran first, then the U.S will be forced to back up this country in war. Meanwhile, nothing is going to happen, the U.S is not in a hurry, they still have 10-15 yrs, Iran will keep going on.
